The comparisons between the numerical results and linear theoretical results corresponding to Eq.(5) have been carried out to show that the numerical results have a better exhibition of nonlinear characteristics. Wavelet analysis method has been adopted to investigate the time-frequency energy spectrum of simulation freak waves and the results reveal strong nonlinear interaction enables energy to be transferred to high harmonics during the progress of its formation. Varying water depth can enhance the nonlinear interaction, making much more energy be transferred to high harmonics and freak waves with higher asymmetry be generated. 展开更多

The fundamental and realization arithmetic of the wavelet packet analysis method are described in this paper. A new application approach of the wavelet packed method to extract the feature of the pulse signal from energy distributing angle is expatiated. It is convenient for the microchip to process and judge by using the wavelet packet analysis method to make the pulse signals quantized and analyzed. Kinds of experiments are simulated in the lab, and the experiments prove that it is a convenient and accurate method to extract the feature of the pulse signal based on wavelet packed-energy spectrumanalysis. 展开更多

Marr wavelet is approximated by a parameterized class of function and with Levenbery-Marquardt nonlinear least square method,the optimum parameters of this function are obtained. The circuits of implementating Marr wavelet transform are composed of analog filter whose impulse response is the required wavelet. The filter design is based on IFLF structure with CMOS log-domain integrators as the main building blocks. SPICE simulations indicate an excellent approximations of ideal wavelet. 展开更多

Ground-penetrating radar(GPR)is a highly efficient,fast and non-destructive exploration method for shallow surfaces.High-precision numerical simulation method is employed to improve the interpretation precision of detection.Second-generation wavelet finite element is introduced into the forward modeling of the GPR.As the finite element basis function,the second-generation wavelet scaling function constructed by the scheme is characterized as having multiple scales and resolutions.The function can change the analytical scale arbitrarily according to actual needs.We can adopt a small analysis scale at a large gradient to improve the precision of analysis while adopting a large analytical scale at a small gradient to improve the efficiency of analysis.This approach is beneficial to capture the local mutation characteristics of the solution and improve the resolution without changing mesh subdivision to realize the efficient solution of the forward GPR problem.The algorithm is applied to the numerical simulation of line current radiation source and tunnel non-dense lining model with analytical solutions.Result show that the solution results of the secondgeneration wavelet finite element are in agreement with the analytical solutions and the conventional finite element solutions,thereby verifying the accuracy of the second-generation wavelet finite element algorithm.Furthermore,the second-generation wavelet finite element algorithm can change the analysis scale arbitrarily according to the actual problem without subdividing grids again.The adaptive algorithm is superior to traditional scheme in grid refinement and basis function order increase,which makes this algorithm suitable for solving complex GPR forward-modeling problems with large gradient and singularity. 展开更多

Input-output data of hydraulic flight simulator were decomposed by wavelet muhiresolution to get the information of different frequency bands. The reconstructed input-output data were used to build the model of hydraulic flight simulator with improved particle swarm optimization with mutation (IPSOM) to avoid the premature convergence of traditional optimization techniques effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed method is more precise than traditional system identification methods in operating frequency bands because of the consideration of design index of control system for identification. 展开更多

Noise Detection in the Photogrammetric Images Using Wavelets

The paper presents the method of the valuation of random noise in the photogrammetric images, based on wavelets. The proposed method involves the analysis of the dynamics of the components of wavelet decomposition on several resolution levels. The hypothesis was made that the noise-free images are characterized by systematically growing variances of the single components with growing decomposition. This hypothesis was. studied on several dozen fragments of airborne images recorded both with a photogrammetric analogue camera and digital camera. For all the studied photos taken with a digital camera, the hypothesis of growing variances of details was confirmed. The images from an analogue camera had different dynamics of variance, and the cause was recognized as random noise, caused by the grains from of the photographs. Referring to earlier applications of wavelets to noise evaluation, the proposed method is characterized by smaller dependence upon the structure and texture of the image. 展开更多
