Method The effects of rice population structure traits under different N rates on rice canopy temperature, relative humidity ( RH), light transmittance and sheath blight were studied by using Sunscan canopy analysis system and HOBO( Pro Temp/RH IS logger). Result The results showed that leaf area index, plant height and tiller number had significant effects on canopy cooling, RH enhancing and light reducing. Extremely significant multiple linear regression relationships existed among canopy day temperature, day RH, LAI and tiller number, and among light transmittance, tiller number and plant height. At flowering stage, per unit LAI could result in a day-maximum-temperature (Tmax) deceasing of 0.87℃ and a day-minimum-RH (RHmin) enhancing of 2.5% within canopy. Similarly, 100 plants per ms could respectively cause a Tmax deceasing of 1.23℃ and an RHmin enhancing of 3.3% in rice canopy. And per 10 cm plant height and 100 plants per m^2 could respectively reduce 9.3% and 7.8% of light in canopy. Conclusion Sheath blight disease index was significantly enhanced as the canopy day temperature decreased, day RH increased and light transmittance reduced. Bigger canopy from higher nitrogen level treatment leads to a more stable canopy microclimate with little changes in temperature and RH during day and night, which has the risk of worsening canopy health. Thus, moderately controlling the space development of canopy is the basis of constructing healthy canopy in rice.展开更多

The results were briefly summarized as follows: (1) The wheat leaves possessed normally developed chloroplasts with intact grana and stroma thylakoid membranes; The grana intertwined with stroma thylakoid membranes and increased slightly in stacking degree and the width of granum, in spite of more accumulated starch grains within the chloroplasts than those in control; (2) The particle density in the stacked region of the endoplasmic fracture face (EFs) and protoplasmic fracture face (PFs) and in the unstacked region the endoplasmic fracture face (EFu) and the protoplasmic fracture face (PFu) was significantly higher than that of control. Furthermore, in some cases many more particles on EFs faces of thylakoid membranes appeared as a paracrystalline particle array; (3) The variations in the structure of chloroplasts were consistent with the absorption spectra and the low temperature (77 K) fluorescence emission spectra of the chloroplasts developed under the doubled_CO 2 concentration. Results indicate that the capability of light energy absorption of chloroplasts and regulative capability of excitation energy distribution between PSⅡ and PSⅠ were raised by doubled_CO 2 concentration. The field research on five black crested gibbon groups, recently performed at Dazhaizi, Mr. Wuliang, Central Yunnan, China, showed that all groups in the local population consisted of one adult male, two adult females...The field research on five black crested gibbon groups, recently performed at Dazhaizi, Mr. Wuliang, Central Yunnan, China, showed that all groups in the local population consisted of one adult male, two adult females and 2 - 5 sub-adults, juveniles and itfants. The mean group size was 6.2 in August 2003 and 6.4 in August 2005. Two subadult males disappeared from their natal home range and three newborns were given birth in Group 3 (G3) and G4 during this study. The two adult females in G1, G2 and G3 gave births and/or carried babies but at different times. There was no aggressive or dominating behaviour observed between the two adult females. One floating female was first seen in G3's territory on April 15, 2005. The two resident females interrupted her duet with adult male and chased her. We did not observe adult male chased this floating female and she left G3's territory 10 days later. Sub-adult males often kept distance with the family, and they often sang solo bouts in their natal territory before they dispersed. The sub-adult males and females dispersed from natal territory and two adult resident females rejected the third one, which might were the reasons why the black gibbon groups were polygyny in Dazhaizi.展开更多

The structural and dynamical characters are investigated by molecular dynamics simulation respectively. The results show that the 2D systems via Yukawa and Dressed potentials have a different critical coupling constant F corresponding to the systems beginning to coagulate and exhibit different crystal configurations. The scalability of routing architectures for large networks is one of the biggest challenges that the Internet faces today.Greedy routing,in which each node is assigned a locator used as a distance metric,recently rec...The scalability of routing architectures for large networks is one of the biggest challenges that the Internet faces today.Greedy routing,in which each node is assigned a locator used as a distance metric,recently received increased attention from researchers and is considered as a potential solution for scalable routing.In this paper,LMD—a local minimum driven method is proposed to compute the topology-based locator.To eliminate the negative effect of the " quasi" greedy property—transfer routes longer than the shortest routes,a two-stage routing strategy is introduced,which combines the greedy routing with source routing.The greedy routing path discovered and compressed in the first stage is then used by the following source-routing stage.Through extensive evaluations,based on synthetic topologies as well as on a snapshot of the real Internet AS(autonomous system)topology,it is shown that LMD guarantees 100%delivery rate on large networks with low stretch.展开更多

However, existing approaches to delegation in IT systems are limited in their usability, flexibility, and capability ...There are many business needs for implementing delegation in IT (Information Technology) systems. However, existing approaches to delegation in IT systems are limited in their usability, flexibility, and capability to implement least privilege. The result is that delegation is either not implemented or is implemented informally (e.g., by sharing credentials [passwords or hardware tokens] between users), resulting in serious security concerns and a lack of accountability. This paper describes a methodology for delegation based on the persona concept. A persona is a special category of user that embodies only delegated privileges, and which is explicitly assumed only after the "real" human user taking on that persona explicitly chooses it, This paper describes the persona delegation framework in the context of a large enclave-based architecture currently being implemented by a major enterprise. The creation of a persona solves a lot of downstream problems by allowing the persona to be treated like any other entity in the system. That is, identity, authentication, authorization, and other security processes already know how to handle an entity of this type. Benefits of the framework include increased flexibility to handle a number of different delegation business scenarios, decreased complexity of the solution, and greater accountability with only a modest amount of additional infrastructure required.展开更多

The wind velocity ...The new technique that combines wave superposition with the fast Fourier transformation was introduced to simulate the nodal three-dimension relevant wind velocity time series of spatial structures. The wind velocity field where the spatial structure is located is assumed to be homogeneous. The wind’s power spectral density is divided into frequency spectral function and coherency function and the spectral functions are transformed as the superposition coefficients. The wavelet analysis has excellent localized characters in both time and frequency domains, which not only makes wind velocity time series analysis more accurate, but also can focus on any detail of the objective signal series. The discrete wavelet transformation was adopted to decompose and reconstruct the discrete wind velocity time series. The stability of wavelet analysis for the wind velocity time series was also proved.展开更多

Yet its ending has been held as unconvincing ...As one of the first and most original creations of literary postmodernism, published in the year 1961, Catch-22's (1961) position in American literature remains secure. Yet its ending has been held as unconvincing ever since its publication. Taking the overall structure, tone, and the theme of the novel into consideration, this paper aims to prove the credibility of this controversial part. It consists of five sections apart from an introduction and a conclusion. Section One provides general information on the life and works of Joseph Heller. Section Two traces the impact of existentialism and the generation of black humor to clarify the literary position of Catch-22. Section Three brings out the disputative opinions on the ending part. Sections Four and Five, try to prove Yossarian's final desertion a natural and convincing ending from different perspectives: Section Four analyses how Yossarian gains an entropic vision of the cosmos; section Five studies his existential vision of physical life and searches for the immediate factors that propel Yossarian's desertion. Section five also explains the ending's change in tone and structure. The conclusion summarizes the paper and points out the social significance of the novel.展开更多

It is built within the weighted...A new approach called the robust structured total least squares(RSTLS) algorithm is described for solving location inaccuracy caused by outliers in the single-observer passive location. It is built within the weighted structured total least squares(WSTLS)framework and improved based on the robust estimation theory.Moreover, the improved Danish weight function is proposed according to the robust extremal function of the WSTLS, so that the new algorithm can detect outliers based on residuals and reduce the weights of outliers automatically. Finally, the inverse iteration method is discussed to deal with the RSTLS problem. Simulations show that when outliers appear, the result of the proposed algorithm is still accurate and robust, whereas that of the conventional algorithms is distorted seriously.展开更多
