连载于《西北文化日报》于煤村的《小阿Q》,可以视为鲁迅《阿Q正传》的续作。小说设计阿Q与小尼姑私通生下小阿Q,演绎抗战期间小阿Q的人生故事。描述了小阿Q进大学的坎坷经历,着力描写小阿Q与李华玉的正式交往和相恋。以小阿Q的逃逸结束了他第一个报名当兵的壮举,也结束了他的爱情之梦。于煤村刻画了已成了上等人的小阿Q,具有一定的批判色彩针砭意识,为抗战文艺增添了值得记载的一笔。《小阿Q》在对于鲁迅《阿Q正传》的续写中,演绎出抗战纨绔子弟的病态人生。

The Tibetan letter fi following the voiced initial stops should be used to express the voiced aspirate and when it following unvoiced stops should be the medial. The author argues that it was used as vowel & when following the libials in the third class characters.

A Taxonomic Study on the Genus Acmopolynema Ogloblin (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae) from China

The genus Acmopolynema Ogloblin is briefly reviewed. Five species from China are described and illustrated. Among which, three species, A. longicoxilla, A. reticoxilla and A. campylura are new to science, two species are first records from China, A key to the five species is provided. All specimens examined are deposited in Biological Control Research Institute, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fuzhou, China.

Integrated interpretation of dual frequency induced polarization measurement based on wavelet analysis and metal factor methods

In mineral exploration, the apparent resistivity and apparent frequency （or apparent polarizability） parameters of induced polarization method are commonly utilized to describe the induced polarization anomaly. When the target geology structure is significantly complicated, these parameters would fail to reflect the nature of the anomaly source, and wrong conclusions may be obtained. A wavelet approach and a metal factor method were used to comprehensively interpret the induced polarization anomaly of complex geologic bodies in the Adi Bladia mine. Db5 wavelet basis was used to conduct two-scale decomposition and reconstruction, which effectively suppress the noise interference of greenschist facies regional metamorphism and magma intrusion, making energy concentrated and boundary problem unobservable. On the basis of that, the ore-induced anomaly was effectively extracted by the metal factor method.

In Quest of＂Answers＂ in the Colonial Sands： A Comparative Study of Waliullah and Camus＇ ＂Absurd＂ Protagonists

Syed Waliullah （1922-1971） and Albert Camus （1913-1960） are two distinct writers from two different continents. These writers have interesting commonness, especially in two of their novels—Chander Amabasya （Night of No Moon）, by Walilullah and The Outsider by Camus. The protagonists in both of these novels, ArifAli and Meursault respectively, suffer from existentialist crisis, mainly fueled by the impacts of the tarnished history of colonialism and the aftermaths. Even though the stories of the these protagonists take place almost halfway round the world in entirely different settings, the impacts and facades of the crisis are strikingly similar. This paper is a comparative study of soul-searching Arif Ali and Meursault.

Integrated Control of Tetranychus cinnabarinus by Five Kinds of Pesticides Combined with Neoseiulus cucumeris

To find the method for the integrated control of Tetranychus cinnabarinus （carmine spider mite） and delay its resistance to pesticides, the joint actions of each of five commonly pesticides （abamectin, azadirachtin, matrine, pyrethrins and imidacloprid）, and Neoseiulus cucumeris （Oudemans）, the natural enemy of cotton red spider mite, were studied. N. cucumeris was released after application of pesticides for seven days （for 0,3% azadirachtin EC） or six days （for other pesticides）. The results showed that the combined action of 1.8% abamectin EW （1：8 000） and N. cucumeris had the best control efficacy of 96.63% at 20 days after N. cucumeris releasing. The control efficacies of N. cucumeds and 0.3% azadirachtin EC （1：250） were 59.7% and 90.1% after one day and 20 days, respectively, after N. cucumeris releasing. The control efficacy of N. cucumeris and 0.5% matrine AS （1：2 000） was 82.65% at 20 days after N. cucumeris releasing. The results provide options for sustainable control of T. cinnabarinus and for the delay of pesticides resistance.

The Relationship between Diseases Index of Septoria Leaf Blotch, Leaf Rust and Yield Losses in Bread Wheat Cultivar in Albania

Both grain yield and disease performance are important factors to consider for winter wheat （Triticum aestivum） cultivar selection. However, disease index and yield data are often presented separately, making it difficult to compare values across multiple environments. Two-year investigations （2009-2010）, in which eight common wheat lines/genotypes were included to test their susceptibility against wheat LR （leaf rust） Puccinia triticina f. sp. tritici Roberge ex Desm., and the SLB （SeptoriaJStagonospora leaf blotch） complex Septoria tritici Desm. and Stagonospora nodorum, were carried out in the experimental field of ATTC （Agriculture Technology Transfer Centre） of Lushnje （Albania）. The objective of this study was to use a rank-based method to compare cultivars based on yield and disease performance combined across multiple environments. Analysis of variance revealed the presence of an important and significant variability in the experimental materials used to evaluate the susceptibility and the resistance of common wheat lines against SLB and LR. There were high negative correlations between yieldS, tritici （0.6683） and yield--P, recondita f. sp. tritici （0.5261）. The negative effects of two pathogens have shown ＂the parallel＂/similar negative influences on yield trait and there was a high positive correlation （0.7631） between S. tritici and P. recondita f. sp. tritici. According to study results the lines Regina × L-776, IKB-P6 and Bullgar 3 × KB 703 have shown good results of resistance （R） level against S. tritici and P. recondita f. sp. tritici.

Exploration of Trauma Narrative in The Kite Runner

As the first Afghan novel written in English by Afghan American writer Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner provides reader a window into Afghan history and culture as well as the impact of trauma on individuals Through interweaving progagonist Amir＇s personal trauma from sin to self-salvation with the racial and national conflicts as the collective trauma of the Afghan, Khaled Hosseinni not only foregrounds the coming-of-age theme of sin, guilt, and redemption but also successfully presents the racial conflicts and national pain in Afghanstain. Under the framework of trauma theory and through close reading of the novel, the aim of the present paper is to analyze how trauma is narrated in the novel and thus help readers to have a better understanding about the Afghan history and life

Aspirin-induced small bowel injuries and the preventive effect of rebamipide

AIM:To evaluate the influence of taking low-dose aspirin for 4 wk on small intestinal complications and to examine the preventive effect of rebamipide.METHODS:This study was conducted as a single-center,randomized,double-blind,cross-over,placebo-controlled study.Eleven healthy male subjects were enrolled.Each subject underwent video capsule endos-copy after 1 and 4 wk of taking aspirin and omepra-zole,along with either rebamipide or placebo therapy.The primary endpoint was to evaluate small bowel damage in healthy subjects before and after taking low-dose aspirin for 4 wk.RESULTS:The number of subjects with mucosal breaks(defined as multiple erosions and/or ulcers)were 1 at 1 wk and 1 at 4 wk on the jejunum,and 6 at 1 wk(P = 0.0061)and 7 at 4 wk on the ileum(P =0.0019).Rebamipide significantly prevented mucosal breaks on the ileum compared with the placebo group(P = 0.0173 at 1 wk and P = 0.0266 at 4 wk).CONCLUSION:Longer-term,low-dose aspirin adminis-tration induced damage in the small bowel.Rebamipide prevented this damage,and may be a candidate drug for treating aspirin-induced small bowel complications.

Religion and Feminism in the Short Story of Alifa Rifaat-- The Voice of the ＂Voiceless＂

This paper is an attempt to bring to the foreground a better understanding and appreciation of the work and impact of an Arab Muslim woman writer whose work, characters, thoughts, settings, and words sink very sensitively into the depth of being of her oriental women characters. They are very local and they reflect a typical oriental and distinct religious sentiment, along with an underlying predicament or suffering because of some lack in their love life, both emotional and sexual. This paper will attempt to analyze how the short story written by Alifa Rifaat （1987） deal with the thorny issues Of religiosity and sexuality that might appear as two opposing poles, yet they mix and blend within same characters exposing different aspects of the human being living within dilemmas of personal needs and social dictates of tradition, taboo, and culture. For a non Arab reader, this should be an interesting and informative cross-cultural issue.

EFFECTS OF ALENDRONATE ON STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF TRABECULAR BONE IN DOGS

Objective. To evaluate the effects of alendronate on the structural properties of trabecular bone.Methods. Alendronate was administered at a daily p. o. dose of 0. 5 mg/kg over a 12-week period in hound dogs (n = 8 for both the control and treated group), and the structural indices of the lumbar vertebral (LI and L2) trabecular bone were assessed directly from 3-D images.Results. Treatment with alendronate increased bone volume fraction by 9. 5% and 7. 7% in L1 and L2 respectively. Trabecular thickness significantly increased after alendronate treatment, whereas trabecular separation remained constant. The degree of anisotropy for the alendronate - treated group was decreased compared with that of the control group. Bone surface to volume ratio declined significantly in the alendronate-reated group, whereas alendronate induced a higher bone surface density.Conclusion. Alendronate increased the structural properties of canine trabecular bone after short-term treatment at a dose of 0. 5 mg · kg-1·day-1.

The Dialectic of Borders and Multiculturalism in Naomi Nye＇s Habibi

This paper investigates how the Arab-American writer Naomi Nye addresses the dialectic between borders and multiculturalism in her award-winning young adult novel Habibi （1997）. Critiquing the essentialist view that presumes fixed boundaries for a culture, Nye promotes the alternative view that assumes individuals＇ power of defining and redefining their cultural identities in a multicultural society. The author argues that Nye＇s position is that borders/boundaries and geographical demarcations are flimsy, arbitrary and create divisions, animosities and hatred between people and nations whereas multiculturalism engenders feelings of reconciliation, friendship, and understanding. Though borders and boundaries can be divisive, cultural variety and hybridity can be inclusive. To counteract the argument of borders/boundaries, Nye posits the argument of multiculturalism. In this paper, the author intends to examine the assumptions of the physical and the cultural borders rhetoric in comparison with the multicultural approach narrative. It is the dialectic of these two opposing forces that shapes the events and the final outcome of the action and events of this novel

Effect of pretreatment with aspirin and ticlopidine on the change of platelet aggregability after radiofrequency catheter ablation

Eighty-two patients with supraventricular tachycardia undergoing radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) were studied to observe the inhibition effect of aspirin and ticlopidine on platelet aggregability (PAG) and thromboxane B 2(TXB 2) of the blood samples. Patients were divided into aspirin group A, ticlopidine group B, aspirin+ticlopidine group C and control group D. PAG and TXB 2 were increased clearly after RFCA in all groups (P<0.001). Treatment with aspirin or ticlopidine before operation could reduce the platelet aggregability caused by RFCA and the joint effect of two drugs(change rate of group A:52.51±12.51%; group B:54.78±11.27%;group C: 30.51±10.59%;group D:91.75±21.43%; P<0.05)was studied. The much decreased platelet aggregability after antiplatelet therapy was evidence of the potential benefit of the treatment in preventing thromboembolism after ablation. Pretreatment with aspirin and ticlopidine together is a good way to decrease palatelet aggregability after RFCA.

Necrotic Incompatibility in Crosses of Bread Wheats in Argentina

Abstract： Synthetic wheats are the product of the cross between Triticum turgidum L. var. durum and T. tauschii. The 7＇. tauschii has shown excellent resistance to diseases, salinity, and drought, However, these synthetic wheats are also carriers of genes that produce varying degrees of necrosis, which is expressed as death of tissues in the hybrids （F l） generated from crosses with other bread wheats Necrotic incompatibility is a gradual premature leaf death in certain bread wheat F1 plants and it is caused by the interaction of two genes Nel and Ne2. In this paper 40 hybridizations with T. tauschii in the genetic constitution of some of the two parents made in 2006 and 2007 are presented, and their respective F1 planted at the CEI Barrow （Chacra Experimental de Barrow）. The plants that showed necrotic incompatibility had less growth than the normal F1 at tillering. Symptoms appeared at the beginning of tillering, remaining in that state and till jointing but they never headed. Out of the 16 Argentinean commercial cultivars evaluated, seven had the Ne allele in its genetic constitution and therefore showed necrotic incompatibility, whereas nine of them did not have the NE allele and their F 1 developed normally.

Functional expression of opioid receptor-like receptorand its endogenous specific agonist nociceptin/orphanin FQ during mouse embryogenesis

Expression of opioid receptor-like receptor (ORL1)and its endogenous peptide agonist nociceptin/orphaninFo (N/OFQ) during mouse embryogenesis have been investigated. Transcripts of ORL1 and N/OFQ were detected by RT-PCR in mouse brain of day 8 embryo (E8)and the expression continued afterwards. Northern blotanalysis revealed abundant expression of ORL1 at postnatal day 1 (P1) and N/OFQ at E17 and P1 in the brain butnone was detected in other embryonic tissues. The presence of functional ORL1 in mouse embryonic brain wasalso confirmed by specific binding of [3H] N/OFQ (kd=1.3±0.5 nM and Bmax = 72±9 fmol/mg protein) as wellas by N/OFQ-stimulated G protein activation.

Towards a Sustainable Development of Small Hydropower Plants, from Valley of Sperchios River to Mount Olympus

The mountainous region of Fthia, identified with the Valley of Sperchios River, in Central Greece, is rich in small watercourses and generously blessed with water and abundant water falls. The geographical configuration of Olympus and Fthia＇s mounts and the hydraulic singularities of drained lakes Askouris in Olympus, favour the installation of series of sustainable small hydroelectric plants. The present action consists of a serious effort towards the systematic sustainable small hydropower exploitation of Fthia＇s and Olympus hydraulic potential, including the Archimedean hydropower perspectives of Sperchios River.

Quo Vadis Archimedean Turbines Nowadays in Greece, in the Era of Transition？

According to recent hydropower inventories, the first aim of this paper is to prove that Greece is a real ＂Archimedean Soft Small Hydro Development Terra Incognita＂. It is a country in the Era of Transition of nowadays, having an important unexploited hydropower potential of several TWh and thousands of MW. The second goal is to present the results of rediscovering the old screw pumps and the always-modern Archimedean cochlear screw ideas as a series of soft hydropower turbines with inclined axis rotors and floating spiral screw devices. By following the similarity methodology, a few small-scale models of cochlear rotors were designed, developed and tested in an Armfield hydraulic channel. The conventional and unconventional, low or zero-head screw turbines, could efficiently harness the important and unexploited Greek small potential and kinetic hydraulic energy of all the natural watercourses, the man-made open urban or rural channels and the most important tidal or sea currents, producing useful green electricity. The very promising low-head hydropower inventory of Greece, the preliminary experimental results and the research studies of cochlear projects in watercourses, hydraulic works, tidal conditions of Euripus Strait and in the mysterious ＂Sea River Current of Cephalonia＂, seems to give a good answer to the question ＂Quo Vadis Archimedes nowadays in Greece, in the Era of Transition？＂.

Evaluation of the Quantity of Eroded Land in Mountains Watersheds of Vithkuqi Area （District of Korca）-Albania

Soil erosion represents one of the most important destructive phenomenon of the soil, through surface and depth erosion. The activity of water erosion in Albania is favoured from some factors like relief, geological structure, slope, soil, etc. Erosion depth growth is closely related with the vegetal cover ravage high rate and in the first instance that of woodland flora in sloping ground. The degradation of the flora or total destruction of it is defined from many factors, but in notably from social-economical system of every country. It can be also seen some special areas in our country were the results of the human negative impacts in natural environment. The erosion phenomenon is more problematic, especially during intensive raining time.

Alectinib treatment for 2 non-small cell lung carcinoma patients carrying different novel ALK fusions

The genomic fusions of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)gene have been widely recognized as effective therapeutic targets for non-small cell lung carcinoma(NSCLC).The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University has treated 2 NSCLC patients with 2 distinct novel ALK gene fusions.Case 1 was a 55-year-old male with a solid nodule located in the right hilar lobe on enhanced CT scan.Case 2 was a 47-year-old female with enhanced CT showing involvement of the left upper lobe of lung.Histopathological examination of tumor tissues confirmed lung adenocarcinoma in both cases.Immunohistochemical(IHC)staining demonstrated positivity for thyroid transcription factor 1(TTF-1)and ALK-D5F3 in tumor cells,while negativity for P40.The next-generation sequencing(NGS)tests identified a PNPT1-ALK(Exon22:Exon20)fusion variant in case 1 and a TCEAL2-ALK(Exon3:Exon19)fusion variant in case 2.The TCEAL2-ALK fusion was further confirmed by amplification refractory mutation system(ARMS)-PCR at the mRNA level.Both patients were treated with oral alectinib at a dosage of 600 mg twice daily.The tumors in both patients were significantly decreased after alectinib treatment,achieving partial response.At the time of submission,there was an absence of disease progression and the progression-free survival(PFS)had surpassed 1 year.It offered compelling evidences that the individuals with NSCLC and harboring either a PNPT1-ALK(Exon22:Exon20)fusion or a TCEAL2-ALK(Exon3:Exon19)fusion,experience favorable therapeutic outcomes through the administration of alectinib.This study expands the known ALK fusion variants database and supports the precision treatment of NSCLC using ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs).

Riboflavin-modified lipo-polyplexes co-delivering CXCR4 siRNA and doxorubicin for treatment of highly metastatic cancer

SDF-1/CXCR4 has been recognized as one of the most relevant chemokine signaling pathways to cancer metastasis,and siRNA targeting CXCR4 may provide potential improvements to treat those highly metastatic cancers,especially when combined with chemotherapy.In the present study,we constructed riboflavin-modified lipo-polyplexes to co-deliver CXCR4 siRNA and doxorubicin for cancer therapy.Doxorubicin was covalently conjugated to polyethyleneimine(PEI)with acid-cleavable hydrazine bond,and the obtained acid-sensitive conjugate was efficiently condensed with siRNA to form polyplexes,which were further coated with riboflavin-tailed lipid-membrane to prepare the lipo-polyplexes conveniently.Utilizing the fact that tumor cells overexpress riboflavin receptors,the riboflavin modification effectively enhanced uptake of lipo-polyplexes by tumor cells in a receptor-mediated manner.The riboflavin-modified lipo-polyplexes co-delivering CXCR4 siRNA and doxorubicin effectively decreased viability and invasiveness of tumor cells in vitro,and inhibited primary tumor growth and tumor metastasis in vivo.
