公路建设中路面基层通常采用水泥稳定级配碎石基层,需要大量的碎石材料,在石场进行石料开采、破碎,不仅会造成不可再生的矿产资源浪费,同时也会因生产排污造成环境污染。尾矿石作为矿场在选取有用组分进行排放后的尾矿所形成的固体矿物... 公路建设中路面基层通常采用水泥稳定级配碎石基层,需要大量的碎石材料,在石场进行石料开采、破碎,不仅会造成不可再生的矿产资源浪费,同时也会因生产排污造成环境污染。尾矿石作为矿场在选取有用组分进行排放后的尾矿所形成的固体矿物废料,在通过二次筛分进行回收、处理,可作为公路路面基层的原材料使用。充分了利用原有废弃材料,可节约施工成本,达到利用固体废弃物资源化的目标,减轻尾矿石在处理过程中对环境的影响。本文通过分析尾矿石在基层施工的研究现状和应用前景,对尾矿石的施工技术应用进行了研究。 展开更多

In this study,ceramics was prepared by slip casting(no pressure was used during shaping step)and atmospheric pressure sintering with low-melting point glass(LPG)powder as the binding material to facilitate the transformation of spodumene flotation tailings(SFTs)into ceramics at lower temperatures.The influence of sintering temperature and mass ratio of LPG on the mechanical properties(flexural strength and compressive strength)of ceramic materials was studied by orthogonal test.The results showed that when the mass ratio of LPG powder was higher than or equal to 20 wt%and the sintering temperature was higher than or equal to 550℃,mutual adhesion between the sample particles was realised and consequently the ceramic materials could be prepared with good mechanical properties(the maximum flexural strength=19.55 MPa,the maximum compressive strength=42.25 MPa,average porosity=24.52%,average apparent density=1.66 g/cm^(3),and average water absorption=14.79%).The sintered ceramics were characterized by XRF,XRD,optical microscopy analysis,SEM,TGA-DSC and FT-IR.The formation of liquid phase at high temperature may lead to the mutual bonding between particles,which might be the main reason for the improvement of mechanical properties of ceramic materials.Overall,SFTs were successfully sintered at low temperature to prepare ceramic materials with good mechanical properties,which are crucial for energy conservation and environmental preservation. 展开更多

Removal of anionic ions from single material solution by bauxite tailings modified with FeCl_3·6H_2O 被引量:2

The adsorbabilities of the unmodified and modified bauxite tailings for Cr(Ⅵ), As(Ⅴ) and F(Ⅰ) ions were investigated. Batch experiments were carried out to determine the removal rate as a function of adsorbent dosage, solution pH value and shaking time. The results show that the maximum removal rates of Cr(Ⅵ), As(Ⅴ) and F(Ⅰ ) are respectively 99%, 99% and 90% by using the modified bauxite tailings. The isoelectric point of the unmodified bauxite tailings is 3.6, and that of the modified bauxite tailings is 5.0, which shifts to lower pH values in Cr(Ⅵ) solution. This indicates a specific adsorption of the anionic species on the modified bauxite railings. A new band of Cr2O72 appears in the FTIR, showing that Cr(Ⅵ) is adsorbed on the modified bauxite railings in the form of chemistry adsorption. The adsorption data of Cr(Ⅵ) on the modified bauxite tailings are well described by Freundlich model. The investigations of kinetic models show that pseudo-second-order kinetic model provides the best correlation for the experimental data. 展开更多

Porous ceramics were prepared with spodumene flotation talings(SFT),kaolin and low-melting point glass(LPG)powder,whose pores were formed by the chemical reaction of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)).LPG was used to reduce the sintering temperature of porous ceramics and kaolin was used to realize the adsorption to methylene blue(MB)of porous ceramics.The average flexural strength,compressive strength,apparent porosity,water absorption and maximum MB adsorption capacity were 5.60 MPa,4.66 MPa,52.27%,44.32%and 0.7 mg/g,respectively.Moreover,the results of orthogonal experiments present that the sintering temperature and the dosage of H_(2)O_(2)had great influence on the mechanical properties and apparent porosity of porous ceramics,respectively.The main reason for the improvement of mechanical properties of porous ceramics was that LPG gradually became soft with increasing the sintering temperature,which made the mineral particles adhere to each other closely.Kaolinite was not completely converted into metakaolin at 550℃,which might be the main reason why porous ceramics had adsorption properties. 展开更多

The tailings are predominantly composed by feldspar, quartz, muscovite and other Fe-bearing silicates such as biotite and amphiboles, suitable for ceramic production. The recovery of these elements depends on mica's remotion to levels under 2.0%, preferentially by dry methods due the scarce amount of water prevailing at Serido region. This paper presents results from pegmatite tailings characterization from Serido region showing the potentially application as raw material for ceramic production. To do it, a new technological route must be developed to fit it as main component to white ceramic industry, considering the properties required by ceramic industries. 展开更多

The effects of mechanical activation in a planetary mill on the structural changes and microstructural characteristics of the components of ferruginous quartzite beneficiation railings generated by wet magnetic separation process were studied using X-ray and laser diffraction methods. The results revealed the relationship between variations in the mean particle size of activated powders and the milling time. The crystallite size, microstrain, lattice parameters and unit cell volumes were determined for different milling times in powder samples of quartz, hematite, dolomite, and magnetite from the beneficiation tailings. The main trends in the variation of the crystallite size of quartz, hematite, dolomite, and magnetite as a function mean particle size of powder samples were revealed. Changes in the particle shape as a function of the activation time was also investigated. 展开更多

The construction of waste rock dumps on existing tailing ponds has been put into practice in China to save precious land resources. This work focuses on the safety assessment of the Daheishan molybdenum mine waste rock dump under construction on two adjoining tailings ponds. The consolidation of the tailings foundation and the filling quality of the waste rock are investigated by the transient electromagnetic method through detecting water-rich areas and loose packing areas, from which, the depth of phreatic line is also estimated. With such information and the material parameters, the numerical method based on shear strength reduction is applied to analyzing the overall stability of the waste rock dump and the tailings ponds over a number of typical cross sections under both current and designed conditions, where the complex geological profiles exposed by site investigation are considered. Through numerical experiments, the influence of soft lenses in the tailings and possible loose packing areas in the waste rock is examined. Although large displacements may develop due to the soft tailings foundation, the results show that the waste rock dump satisfies the safety requirements under both present and designed conditions. 展开更多

Tailing ponds pose environmental hazards, such as toxic metals which can contaminate the surroundings through wind and water erosions and leaching. Various chemical and biochemical properties, together with extractable and soluble metals were measured five years after reclamation of a polluted soil affected by former mining activities. This abandoned mine site contains large amounts of Fe-oxyhydroxides, sulphates, and heavy metals. As a consequence, soils remain bare and the soil organic matter content is low (〈 3 g kg-1). Marble waste, pig manure and sewage sludge were applied in 2004. Plant cover and richness, and soil chemical, biochemical and biological parameters were analysed five years later. Results showed that all soil biochemical properties as well as vegetation cover and richness were higher in treated soils than in the untreated contaminated plots (control), although organic matter, pH values and extractable metals concentrations were similar among treatments. Soluble cadmium and zinc were lower in the amended plots than in control. 展开更多
