The method of superposition was used to divide the solution into two parts, the part satisfying the mechanical boundary conditions and continuity conditions was first obtained by solving a system of linear equations; the other part was obtained by the separation of variables method. The present method is suitable for a multilayer piezoelectric infinite hollow cylinder consisting of arbitrary layers and subjected to arbitrary axisymmetric electric excitation. Dynamic responses of stress and electric potential are finally presented and analyzed.展开更多

Finite element equations are developed according to layerwise theory of laminated structure. Following the layerwise theory, a variable kinematic model that incorporates mechanics and thermal conditions is also presented. The new element has a field of displacement compatible with the cylindrical shell element or plate and it can be used as a rigid element for this structural element.ln the laminate model construction, adjacent layers are arranged as bonded layers. The layer has a unique constant thickness that can be different to each layer. The fiber reinforced is used and the fibers in a laminate may be oriented arbitrarily. The shear stress is adopted equal to zero because the thin thickness, on the other hand, the normal stress is maintained in order to ensure the compatibility of stress in material. The previously authors of this methods neglect the implications of thermal effects on cylindrical shells structures. Thermal effects become important when the structure has to operate in either extremely hot or cold temperature environments. These extreme conditions may severely affect the response of structure in two distinct ways: (1) induction of thermal stresses due to differences in the coefficients of thermal expansion between the various composite plies and layers and (2) temperature dependence of the elastic properties. Only a limited amount of work has been reported concerning this topic. All in all, the main contribution of this work is the consideration of this kinematic for cylindrical shells that incorporate mechanics and thermal conditions. In addition, numerical results are presented to demonstrate the capability of the current formulation to represent the behavior of cylindrical shells with these characteristics.展开更多

On the basis of the actual production data of X-2 well of Zhucang syncline in Bide-Santang basin,by simulating the gas production process of a CBM well under the condition of multiple seam with COMET3 numerical simulation software, we analyze the influencing factors of gas productivity during the process of multi-seam drainage, and illuminate the interlayer interference mechanism of multiseam drainage. The results show that permeability, reservoir pressure gradient, critical desorption pressure and fluid supply capacity of stratum have great influence on gas productivity of multi-seam drainage while coal thickness has little influence on it. Permeability, reservoir pressure gradient and fluid supply capacity of stratum affect the propagation velocity of reservoir pressure drop and thereby affect the final gas productivity. Moreover, the influence of critical desorption pressure on gas productivity of multiseam drainage is reflected in the gas breakthrough time and effective desorption area.展开更多

Frequency, especially the fundamental frequency, has been considered as an important factor in vibration problem. In this paper, a calculation method of the fundamental frequency of arbitrary laminated plates under various boundary conditions is proposed. The vibration differential equation of the laminated plates is established at the beginning of this paper and the frequency formulae of specialty orthotropic laminated plates under various boundary conditions and antisymmetric angle-ply laminated plates with simply-supported edges are investigated. They are proved to be correct. Simple algorithm of the fundamental frequency for multilayer antisymmetric and arbitrary laminated plates under various boundary conditions is studied by a series of typical examples. From the perspective of coupling, when the number of laminated plates layers N〉8-10, some coupling influence on the fundamental frequency can be neglected. It is reasonable to use specialty orthotropic laminated plates with the same thickness but less layers to calculate the corresponding fundamental frequency of laminated plates. Several examples are conducted to prove correctness of this conclusion. At the end of this paper, the influence of the selected number of layers of specialty orthotropic laminates on the fundamental frequency is investigated. The accuracy and complexity are determined by the number of layers. It is necessary to use proper number of layers of special orthotropic laminates with the same thickness to simulate the fundamental frequency in different boundary conditions.展开更多

This lacking of groundwater could be caused by the circumstance that the top layer of soil is dominated by compacted clay around 2 meters in which its permeability is small, so the water is difficult to infiltrate the ground. The recharge well technique was designed based on the flat area problems, layer of real condition, flow water table and low infiltration rate. Resistivity soundings were made at existing wells to assess the subsurface layers. Beside that, the past records on floods event, sub surface and surface studies were collected around study area as a preliminary studies. It was presented that the study area promised good prospects to increase the capability of groundwater and contribute to the drainage system by reducing the volume of rainfall runoff using the recharge well technique.展开更多

The magnetopause moved inward to the region L< 8 without causing a geomagnetic storm. The flux of the relativistic electrons in the outer radiation belt decreased by half during this event based on the observations of the particle radiation monitor(PRM) of the fourth of the China-Brazil Earth Resource Satellites(CBERS-4). The flux remained low for approximately 11 d; it did not recover after a small magnetic storm on January 26 but after a small magnetic storm on February 2. The loss and recovery of the relativistic electrons during this event are investigated using the PRM data, medium-and high-energy electron observations of NOAA-15 and the Van Allen Probes, medium-energy electron observations of GOES-13, and wave observations of the Van Allen Probes. This study shows that the loss of energetic electrons in this event is related to magnetospheric compression. The chorus waves accelerate the medium-energy electrons, which causes the recovery of relativistic electrons. The Van Allen Probes detected strong chorus waves in the region L =3–6 from January 21 to February 2. However, the flux of medium-energy electrons was low in the region. This implies that the long-lasting lack of recovery of the relativistic electrons after this event is due to the lack of the medium-energy"seed" electrons. The medium-energy electrons in the outer radiation belt may be a clue to predict the recovery of relativistic electrons.展开更多

The dielectric film has per unit area capacitance of 165 nF/cm2 and leakage current of 1 nA/cm2 at 1 MV/cm. The devices and circuits use the small-molecule hydrocarbon pentacene as the active semiconductor material. Transistors, inverters, and ring oscillators with operating voltage lower than 5 V were obtained. The mobility of organic field-effect transistors was extracted to be 0.16 cm2/Vs in saturation range, the threshold voltage is 0.3 V,and the on/off current ratio is larger than 105. The gain of inverters is estimated to be 12 at -5 V supply voltage, and the propagation delay is 0.25 ms per stage in 5-stage ring oscillators.展开更多
