A simple control structure in servo system is occasionally needed for simple industrial application which precise and high control performance is not exessively important so that the cost production can be reduced efficiently. Simplified vector control, which has simple control structure, is utilized as the permanent magnet synchronous motor control algorithm and genetic algorithm is used to tune three PI controllers used in simplified vector control. The control performance is obtained from simulation and investigated to verify the feasibility of the algorithm to be applied in the real application. Simulation results show that the speed and torque responses of the system in both continuous time and discrete time can achieve good performances. Furthermore, simplified vector control combined with genetic algorithm has a similar perfofmance with conventional field oriented control algorithm and possible to be realized into the real simple application in the future. 展开更多

In this article,an approach for economic performance assessment of model predictive control(MPC) system is presented.The method builds on steady-state economic optimization techniques and uses the linear quadratic Gaussian(LQG) benchmark other than conventional minimum variance control(MVC) to estimate the potential of reduction in variance.The LQG control is a more practical performance benchmark compared to MVC for performance assessment since it considers input variance and output variance,and it thus provides a desired basis for determining the theoretical maximum economic benefit potential arising from variability reduction.Combining the LQG benchmark directly with benefit potential of MPC control system,both the economic benefit and the optimal operation condition can be obtained by solving the economic optimization problem.The proposed algorithm is illustrated by simulated example as well as application to economic performance assessment of an industrial model predictive control system. 展开更多

Adaptive Type-2 fuzzy control possesses control performance better than the traditional adaptive fuzzy control.However,heavy computation burden obviously blocks the utilization of adaptive Type-2 fuzzy control in industrial application.By adopting novel piecewise fuzzy sets and center-average type-reduction,a simplified adaptive interval Type-2 fuzzy controller involving less computation is developed for practical industrial application.In the proposed controller,the inputs are divided into several subintervals and then two piecewise fuzzy sets are used for each subinterval.With the manner of piecewise fuzzy sets and a novel fuzzy rules inference engine,only part of fuzzy rules are simultaneously activated in one control loop,which exponentially decreases the computation and makes the controller appropriate in industrial application.The simulation and experimental study,involving the popular magnetic levitation platform,shows the predicted system with theoretical stability and good tracking performance.The analysis indicates that there is far less computation of the proposed controller than the traditional adaptive interval Type-2 fuzzy controller,especially when the number of fuzzy rules and fuzzy sets is large,and the controller still maintains good control performance as the traditional one. 展开更多

So linear motors are widely used in industrial applications such as precision machine tools. In our laboratory focusing on transport system, we propose parallel synchronous drive of used the PM-LSM (permanent magnet linear synchronous motor). It can pass luggage without having to stop the working. When you establish "parallel synchronous drive", a motor follows the other motor. In our laboratory, one of the motors is called "master motor" and the other motor called "slave motor". The master motor's speed and position pass slave motor then establish parallel synchronous drive. Therefore, slave motor requires high-responsive and precision that follows the master motor. Size-controlled Pd nanoparticles (PdNPs) were synthesized in aqueous solution, using sodium car-boxymethyl cellulose as the stabilizer. Size-controlled PdNPs were supported onα-Al2O3 by the incipient wetness impregnation method. The PdNPs onα-Al2O3 support were in a narrow particle size distribution in the range of 1-6 nm. A series of PdNPs/α-Al2O3 catalysts were used for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene in ethylene-rich stream. The results show that PdNPs/α-Al2O3 catalyst with 0.03%(by mass) Pd loading is a very effective and sta-ble catalyst. With promoter Ag added, ethylene selectivity is increased from 41.0%to 63.8%at 100 &#176;C. Comparing with conventional Pd-Ag/α-Al2O3 catalyst, PdNPs-Ag/α-Al2O3 catalyst has better catalytic performance in acety-lene hydrogenation and shows good prospects for industrial application. 展开更多

The control of energy in various industrial applications passes by the comprehension of the phenomena of transfers especially in complex flows. The structure of the turbulent flow in the cavities in rotation depends on several parameters like the Reynolds number of rotation Ra and the aspect ratio of the cavity. The purpose of this work is to simulate numerically the effect of the aspect ratio on the level of turbulence in the annular steady flow with an incompressible fluid for three different configurations. In the first, the interior cylinder is fixed and the external is moving. The second configuration is the reverse. The third is the contra-rotating cylinders. For all these configurations, we varied the aspect ratio from 0.5 to 2.5. The numerical tool is based on a statistical model in a point using the closing of the second order of the transport equations of the Reynolds stresses (Reynolds Stress Model: RSM). The results of our numerical simulation show that this geometrical parameter can be an interesting factor to increase the level of turbulence that is often required in several industrial applications where the economy and the control of energy are always required. 展开更多

This paper describes a Bayesian approach to robot group control applied in industrial applications. The proposed model is based on well-known concepts of Ubiquitous Computing and can enable some degree of contextual perception of the environment. Compared with classical industrial robots, usually preprogrammed for a limited number of operations/actions, the system based on this model can react in uncertain situations and scenarios. The model combines ontology to describe the specific domain of interest and decision-making mechanisms based on Bayesian Networks to enable the work of a single robot without human intervention by learning Behavioral Patterns of other robots in the group. The described model is designed to be expressive enough to provide adequate level of abstractions needed for making timely appropriate actions and respecting the current application. 展开更多

These models are built in time or frequency domain and can be interconnected to form quantum feedback networks.
