Copper metal is one important raw material of national economy, and its security is tightly linked with industrialization process. A comprehensive security evaluation index system, including three first class indicators, nine second class indicators and fourteen third class indicators, was constructed based on the pressure-state-response (PSR) model. And efficacy coeff^cient method was adopted in dimensionless treatment and entropy method was used to obtain the weight. Then, the data of China's copper from 1992 to 2011 were studied and collected. By processing these data, a comprehensive safety index of China's copper was got. The results showed that the comprehensive safety index of China's copper rose from its low point. The safety pressure state of China's copper was improved. The safety state of China's copper continued to be tight. The response state continued to rise. The overall situation of China's copper safety was improving, but still not optimistic. 展开更多

In order to design a suitable controller which can achieve accurate trajectory tracking and a good control performance, and guarantee the stability and robustness of a robot system due to external disturbances error and internal parameter variations, an adaptive switching control strategy is proposed. The proposed scheme is designed under the condition of bounded distances and consists of an adaptive switching law and a PD controller. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, it is proved that the proposed scheme can guarantee the tracking performance of the robotic manipulator and is adapted to varying unknown loads. Simulations are carded out on a two-link robotic manipulator, which illustrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed control scheme and the robustness for variational payloads. 展开更多

The problem of satellite formation tracking control is studied by using the tool, the satellite tool kit (STK ) software.To fight against gravitational perturbation rejection, a sliding mode controller for each satellite is proposed to accomplish the orbit trace and is then verified by the STK.For the purpose of accomplishing the formation tracking mission with bidirectional communication in STK,a time-share orderly calling plug-in is designed by C ++,which gives solutions to the problems of the monopolization of computing resource and no return of the satellite identifier in the calculation center. The effectiveness of the decoupling approach is tested and verified by the STK.The simulation results obtained by the STK are more meaningful than those obtained by Matlab. 展开更多

The construction a... A new type of linear ultrasonic motor with two degrees of freedom (DOF) motion is presented. The concept of the new typical motor is based on the combination of a longitudinal and two bending modes. The construction and the operational principle of motor are described, and the elliptical motion of the driving point of the actuator is proved. Meanwhile, a prototype linear motor is designed by using the finite element method (FEM) and is constructed for experiments. The vibration modes are tested with the laser doppler vibrometer (PSV-300F), and the experimental results prove that the design requirements on the mode shape of the actuator and nature frequency are satisfied. The test run of the motor indicates that the operational principle of the motor and the design results are correct, and the output properties are also tested. 展开更多

The shortcomings of the rank and determinant criteria based design and the advantages of the TC-based design are analyzed. The optimization principle of four factors is presented, which includes the space-time block coding (STBC) scheme, set partitioning, trellis structure, and the assignment of signal subsets and STBC schemes in the trellis. According to this principle, systematical and handcrafted design steps are given in detail. By constellation expansion, the code performance can be further improved. The code design results are given, and the new codes outperform others in the simulation. 展开更多

During the last decade, there has been an intensive research activity concerning the concept of the Water Footprint (WF) approach, which was firstly introduced by Arjen Hoekstra in 2002. WF is an indicator of direct and indirect freshwater use of a consumer or producer that takes into account water consumption in every step (intermediate and final) along the production chain and services. The concept can be implemented in various levels such as products, consumers, producers, nations and river basins etc.. The water footprint within a geographically delineated area equals the sum of the process water footprints of all processes taking place in the area. The aim of current research is a review of the most important WF studies, with a special focus on applications within regional, basin and administrative unit level. National and global scales are not included in the current paper. The article presents the most widespread methodologies and approaches that attempt to evaluate water footprints of specific defined areas and highlights their recent advances as well as shortcomings in the constantly evolving research efforts. 展开更多

Cooperative path planning is an important area in fixed-wing UAV swarm.However,avoiding multiple timevarying obstacles and avoiding local optimum are two challenges for existing approaches in a dynamic environment.Firstly,a normalized artificial potential field optimization is proposed by reconstructing a novel function with anisotropy in each dimension,which can make the flight speed of a fixed UAV swarm independent of the repulsive/attractive gain coefficient and avoid trapping into local optimization and local oscillation.Then,taking into account minimum velocity and turning angular velocity of fixed-wing UAV swarm,a strategy of decomposing target vector to avoid moving obstacles and pop-up threats is proposed.Finally,several simulations are carried out to illustrate superiority and effectiveness. 展开更多

Re-examining Geos Neighbourhood for Its Energy Self-sustained Ability Through Ecological Footprints, Net Energy, and Life Cycle Assessment Tools

There are mounting evidences that human consume significant quantities of resources and have a major impact on the environment. Some research indicates that since the 1980s human demands on the biosphere have exceeded its regen-errative capacity. One way to solve this problem is to minimize the inappropriate ex-ploitation from environment. This essay wil focus on energy self-sustained project, which is a specific way to reduce energy requirements. Energy self-sustained project refers to that energy production is equal to the amount consumed. Three concepts are quoted in the fol-lowing to assess whether the project achieve zero-energy or not. First, ecological footprint, which provides an indication of the human load on the biosphere, is uti-lized to measure the inputs and outputs of the bioregion, which is also beneficial for defining the potential energy. Another one is life cycle assessment, which evaluates environmental load that relates to the entire life periodic system of a product, is helpful to measure the products used in the energy self sustained project. In addi-tion, net energy, and gross resource abundance, definitions for selection, or hierar-chy of different energy resources, can evaluate the new energy resources in project. Geos Neighbourhood, located in colorado, was planned as the largest net-zero energy neighbourhood in the United States. To meet the energy self sustainability, earth and sun power completely sustain the community's energy needs, and re-place al fossil fuels. Compared with the traditional communities, Geos Neighbour-hood minimize the adverse impact on the environment. As tools for assessment, ecological footprint, life circle assessment, and net energy, are al used to analyse the planning and design principles in the neighbourhood. By the research, the de-sign principles and energy use in Geos Neighbourhood wil be re-examined that whether the zero energy project achieves the reduction of ecological footprint, and energy self sustainability. In addition, life circle assessment wil re-examine the ma-terials used in the community also. Final y, the concept of 'net energy' wil test solar energy and earth power which is the major energy used in Geos Neighbour-hood. 展开更多

In this paper, two new interpolation algorithms lot CNC machining along curve^l tom pathes are proposed: a time-optimal interpolation algorithm under chord error, feedrate, and tangential acceleration bounds, and a greedy interpolation algorithm under the chord error and tangential jerk bounds. The key idea is to reduce the chord error bound to a centripetal acceleration bound which leads to a velocity limit curve, called the chord error velocity limit curve. Then, the velocity planning is to find the proper velocity curve governed by the acceleration or jerk bounds '~under" the chord error velocity limit curve. For two types of simple tool pathes, explicit formulas for the velocity curve are given and the methods are implemented in commercial CNC controllers. 展开更多

Firstly,by defining homeomorphism mapping relations and differentiable structures,the smooth manifold surface is mapped into several Euclidean planes,thus its trajectory generation can be decomposed into planar curve-filling tasks. Secondly,in the generation of direction-parallel trajectories,the calculation of the cutting interval and the curvature is given,depending on the generation of the first curve in the projection view. Thirdly,after automatic adherences of inverse projection curves,the filled curves are mapped into the original surface inversely to form trajectories. Although the required trajectories are iso-scallop,the trajectory intervals are variable according to the curvature changes at the projection point,which is advantageous to improving the trajectory quality. The proposed approach has appealing merits of dimensionality reduction,which decreases the algorithm complexity. Finally,numerical and machining examples are given to illustrate its feasibility and validity. 展开更多

Multivariate statistical analyses were used to assess the contents and distributions of trace elements in agricultural soils in Xinzhou of Shanxi Province, China, and to identify their sources. Samples with high levels of trace elements were concentrated in eastern Xinzhou, with contents declining from the east to west. Principal component and redundancy analyses revealed strong correlations among Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Se, V, and Zn contents, suggesting that these elements were derived from similar parent materials. There were also strong correlations between the contents of these elements and soil properties. Contents of Cd and Pb were significantly higher in the agricultural soil samples than in the background soil samples(P < 0.05), and were higher in areas with higher levels of gross domestic product but decreased with distance to the nearest road. Therefore, human activities appear to have a strong influence on the Cd and Pb distribution patterns. A novel artificial neural network(ANN) model, using environmental input data, was used to predict the soil Cd and Pb contents of specified test dates. The performances of the ANN model and a traditional multilinear model were compared. The ANN model could successfully predict Cd and Pb content distributions, projecting that soil Cd and Pb contents will increase by 128% and 25%, respectively, by 2020. The results thus indicated that the economic condition of an area has a greater effect on trace element contents and distributions in the soil than the scale of the economy itself. 展开更多

A novel approach is proposed for correcting command points and compressing discrete axis commands into a C2 continuous curve.The relationship between values of rotation angles and tool posture errors is firstly analyzed.A segmentation method based on values of rotation angles and lengths of adjacent points is then used to subdivide these command points into accuracy regions and smoothness regions.Since tool center points generated by CAD/CAM system are usually lying in the space that is apart from the desired curve within a tolerance distance,and the corresponding tool orientation vector may change a lot while the trajectory length of the tool center point is quite small,directly machining with such points will lead to problems of coarse working shape and long machining time.A correction method for command points is implemented so that good processing effectiveness can be achieved.Also,the quintic spline is used for compressing discrete command points into a C2 continuous smooth curve.The machining experiment is finally conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多
