Methods: VX2 tumor was transplanted to the right hind limb quadriceps of 12 healthy New Zealand rabbits and the left side as a contrast. Eight rabbits had homonymy popliteal lymph node metastasis after 1 month through 3.0 GE MRI and they were later injected with lym phatic targeting contrast agent Dextran-DTPA-Gd 0.4 mL (3.96 x 10^-3 tool/L) through bilateral hindlimb toe web respectively. Enhanced MR images were obtained with interval 10 min, 15 min, 20 rain, 25 min, 30 rain, 35 min, 40 rain, 45 rain, 50 min, 55 min, 60 min, 2 h, 4 h, and 24 h. The signal intensities before and after enhancing were measured to calculate the enhanc- ing rates (E%) of popliteal lymph node and the popliteal lymph node signal intensity-time curves were drawn to observe the development of cancer metastasis lymph nodes and lymphatics and to compare the differences of interval sides. Results: Ten minutes after injected into the rabbit's bilateral hindlimb toe web, we could see hind lymphatic and popliteal lymph nodes were strengthened significantly and evenly without blood vessels developing. The signal reached a peak after 35 rain with E% to 315%, which decreased to 205% after 4 h and would be undifferentiated with the surrounding tissues after 24 h. Sta- tistical analysis was made to popliteal lymph node enhancement rate. It was considered statistically significant as long as P 〈 0.05. The tumor-side popliteal lymph node manifested as coarse and irregular shape, lymphatic vessels tortuous dilated and lymphatic chain incomplete as a result of tumor infection. Conclusion: Dextran-DTPA-Gd is specific to lymphoid tissue development. It can targeting display regional lymphatic drainage concretion and the morphology of normal and cancer cells metastasis lymph nodes rapidly.展开更多

METHODS: Thirty-three patients with biopsy-proven gastrointestinal NHL who had undergone FDG-PET scan were induded. All the patients were injected with 10-15 mCJ FDG and scanned approximately 60 min later with a CTI/ Siemens HR (+) PET scanner. PET scans were reviewed and the maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax) of the lesions was measured before and after the treatment, if data were available and compared with histologic diagnoses. RESULTS: Twenty-five patients had a high-grade lymphoma and eight had a low-grade lymphoma. The stomach was the most common site of the involvement (20 patients). In high-grade lymphoma, PET showed focal nodular or diffuse hypermetabolic activity. The average SUVmax+SD was 11.58±5.83. After the therapy, the patients whose biopsies showed no evidence of lymphoma had a lower uptake without focal lesions. The SUVmax+SD decreased from 11.58±5.83 to 2.21± 0.78. in patients whose post-treatment biopsies showed lymphoma, the SUVmax+SD was 9.42±6.27. Low-grade follicular lymphomas of the colon and stomach showed diffuse hypermetabolic activity in the bowel wall (SUVmax= 8.2 and 10.3, respectively). The SUVmax was 2.02-3.8 (mean 3.02) in the stomach lesions of patients with MALT lymphoma. CONCLUSION: ^18F-FDG PET contributes to the diagnosis of high-grade gastrointestinal non-Hodgldn's lymphoma, even when there is the normal background FDG activity. Furthermore, the SUV plays a role in evaluating treatment response. Low-grade NHL demonstrates FDG uptake but at a lesser intensity than seen in high-grade NHL.展开更多

METHODS: A total of 139 consecutive patients were randomized into 6 groups. The participants with peptic ulcer disease or non-ulcer dyspepsia non-responding to other medications who were also H pylori-positive patients either with positive rapid urease test (RUT) or positive histology were included. All groups were pretreated with omeprazole for 2 d and then treated with quadruple therapy regimen (omeprazole, bismuth, tetracycline and metronidazole); all drugs were given twice daily. Groups 1 and 2 were treated for 3 d, groups 3, 4 and 5 for 7 d, and group 6 for 14 d. Groups 1 to 4 received sugar in the form of 10% sucrose syrup. Levodopa was prescribed for groups 1 and 3. Patients in groups 2 and 4 were given placebo for levodopa and groups 5 and 6 received placebos for both sugar and levodopa. Upper endoscopy and biopsies were carried out before treatment and two months after treatment. Eradication of H pylori was assessed by RUT and histology 8 wk later.RESULTS: Thirty patients were excluded. Per-protocol analysis showed successful eradication in 53% in group 1, 56% in group 2, 58% in group 3, 33.3% in group 4, 28% in group 5, and 53% in group 6. Eradication rate, patient compliance and satisfaction were not significantly different between the groups. CONCLUSION: It seems that adding sugar or levodopa or both to anti H pylori eradication regimens may lead to shorter duration of treatment.展开更多

Pathological scores for the colon were graded after in- gestion of colon-extracted protein (CEP) and induction of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) colitis in appendecto- mized or sham-operated mice. Thereafter, Thl and Th2 in Peyer's patches and spleen lymphocytes were de- tected in CEP-treated and bovine serum albumin (BSA)-treated control mice.RESULTS: In appendectomized mice, DTH was not inhibited at day 7 after OVA administration and at the initial phase of DSS colitis, whereas it was inhibited at day 14 and day 21. However, in sham-operated mice, it was inhibited during the whole procedure and the onset of DSS colitis. The protective role of CEP against DSScolitis was present in sham-operated mice, with pre- dominant improvement of colonic pathological changes, while vanished in the appendectomized mice. A shift from Thl to Th2 in Peyer's patches resulted from a de- crease of Thl cells with the ingestion of CEP. Compared with BSA in the sham-operated group, no predominant changes were observed in the appendectomized mice.CONCLUSION: Appendectomy interferes with the pro- tective role of CEP in DSS colitis via a shift from Th2 to Thl during oral tolerance induction.展开更多

The results revealed that the foliar application of 200 mg Fe/L caused a significant increase of N, P, K, Fe and Zn concentrations in petioles and berries compared with the control for both seasons. Additionally, the N, P, K, Fe and Zn concentration in petioles were high at the beginning of the growth season, whereas, decrease towards in the end of the growth season in both cultivars and seasons. While the N, P, K, Fe and Zn in berry content was increased towards from berry set to veraison and ripening stage in both cultivars and seasons.
