In this paper, a novel aircraft electrical power distribution system based on the distributed computer system is proposed. The principles, features and structure of the aircraft electrical power distribution system and the distributed computer system named electrical load management system (ELMS) are studied. The ELMS composed of four electrical load management centers (ELMCs) and two power source processors (PSPs) operates in the 1553B buses. Principles of the ELMCs and the PSPs are introduced. With the application of the distributed computer system, the aircraft electrical power distribution system is simple, adaptable and flexible.展开更多

The method can extract optimized gridding parameters based...This paper presents a reasonable gridding-parameters extraction method for setting the optimal interpolation nodes in the gridding of scattered observed data. The method can extract optimized gridding parameters based on the distribution of features in raw data. Modeling analysis proves that distortion caused by gridding can be greatly reduced when using such parameters. We also present some improved technical measures that use human- machine interaction and multi-thread parallel technology to solve inadequacies in traditional gridding software. On the basis of these methods, we have developed software that can be used to grid scattered data using a graphic interface. Finally, a comparison of different gridding parameters on field magnetic data from Ji Lin Province, North China demonstrates the superiority of the proposed method in eliminating the distortions and enhancing gridding efficiency.展开更多

The whole power control process is separated into outer control loop and...We propose a distributed closedloop power control scheme for a cognitive radio network(CRN) based on our developed state space model of the CRN. The whole power control process is separated into outer control loop and inner control loop in order to solve different problem. In outer loop, the interference temperature(IT) constraint is transformed to a performance index minimized by a state feedback controller to obtain an appropriate target signal to interference plus noise ratio(SINR) of secondary user(SU). For ideal channel model and random time-varying channel model, our designed controller is a linear quadratic regulator(LQR) and a linear quadratic Gaussian(LQG) regulator respectively. While in inner loop, SU controls its transmit power to make the instantaneous SINR track the corresponding target and ensure the IT constraint under the limited threshold. The closed-loop stability of the CRN is proved and the performance of proposed control scheme is presented by computer simulations, which shows that this scheme can effectively guarantee both the requirement of SINR and IT constraint for all SUs.展开更多

The number of electronic devices connected to agricultural machinery is increasing to support new agricultural practices tasks related to the Precision Agriculture such as spatial variability mapping and Variable Rate...The number of electronic devices connected to agricultural machinery is increasing to support new agricultural practices tasks related to the Precision Agriculture such as spatial variability mapping and Variable Rate Technology (VRT). The Distributed Control System (DCS) is a suitable solution for decentralization of the data acquisition system and the Controller Area Network (CAN) is the major trend among the embedded communications protocols for agricultural machinery and vehicles. The application of soil correctives is a typical problem in Brazil. The efficiency of this correction process is highly dependent of the inputs way at soil and the occurrence of errors affects directly the agricultural yield. To handle this problem, this paper presents the development of a CAN-based distributed control system for a VRT system of soil corrective in agricultural machinery. The VRT system is composed by a tractor-implement that applies a desired rate of inputs according to the georeferenced prescription map of the farm field to support PA (Precision Agriculture). The performance evaluation of the CAN-based VRT system was done by experimental tests and analyzing the CAN messages transmitted in the operation of the entire system. The results of the control error according to the necessity of agricultural application allow conclude that the developed VRT system is suitable for the agricultural productions reaching an acceptable response time and application error. The CAN-Based DCS solution applied in the VRT system reduced the complexity of the control system, easing the installation and maintenance. The use of VRT system allowed applying only the required inputs, increasing the efficiency operation and minimizing the environmental impact.展开更多

The wave crest is an important factor for the design of both fixed and floating marine structures.Wave crest height is a dominant parameter in assessing the likelihood of wave-in-deck impact and resultant severe damag...The wave crest is an important factor for the design of both fixed and floating marine structures.Wave crest height is a dominant parameter in assessing the likelihood of wave-in-deck impact and resultant severe damage.Many empirical and theoretical distribution functions for wave crest heights have been proposed,but there is a lack of agreement between them.It is of significance to develop a better new nonlinear wave crest height distribution model.The progress in the research of wave crest heights is reviewed in this paper.Based on Stokes' wave theory,an approximate nonlinear wave crest-height distribution formula with simple parameters is derived.Two sets of measured data are presented and compared with various theoretical distributions of wave crests obtained from nonlinear wave models and analysis of the comparison is given in detail.The new crest-height distribution model agrees well with observations.Also,the new theoretical distribution is more accurate than the other methods cited in this paper and has a greater range of applications.展开更多

The main purpose of this study is to develop a drill selec- t...Drill machines used in surface mines, particularly in coal, is characterized by a very poor utilization (around 40%) and low availability (around 60%). The main purpose of this study is to develop a drill selec- tion methodology and simultaneously a performance evaluation technique based on drill cuttings produced and drilling rate achieved. In all 28 blast drilled through were investigated. The drilling was accomplished by 5 different drill machines of Ingersoll-Rand and Revathi working in coal mines of Sonepur Bazari (SECL) and Block-II (BCCL). The drills are Rotary and Rotary Percussive type using tri- cone rock roller bits. Drill cuttings were collected and sieve analysis was done in the laboratory. Using Rosin Ramler Diagram, coarseness index (CI), mean chip size (d), specific-st trace area (SSA) and charac- teristic particle size distribution curves for all the holes drilled were plotted. The predictor equation for drill penetration rate established through multiple regressions was found to have a very good correlation with an index of determination of 0.85. A comparative analysis of particle size distribution curves was used to evaluate the drill efficiency. The suggested approach utilises the area under the curve, after the point of trend reversal and brittleness ratio of the respective bench to arrive at drill energy utilization index (DEUI), for mapping of drill machine to bench, The developed DEU1 can aid in selecting or mapping a right machine to right bench for achieving higher penetration rate and utilizations.展开更多

One direct proof of validity of the model is to produce the heavy photon at collider. In this paper, we investigate the associated production of a photon with heavy photon pair at the planned international e+ e- linear collider (ILC), i.e., e+e- → AHAHγ and show the distributions of the transverse momenta of the photon. The numerical results indicate that the heavy photon production rate could reach severaL fb at the low mass parameter space and the characteristic signal is a single high energetic photon and missing energy, carried by the heavy photons. All in a/l, it can be a good chance to observe the heavy photon via this process with the high yearly luminosity of the ILC.展开更多

This model is bui...In this paper, firstly, a basic nonlinear magnetic network model considering iron saturations is proposed for a three-phase 12-stator-slot/10-rotor-pole flux-switching permanent magnet(FSPM) machine. This model is built under cylindrical coordinates and enables the open-circuit air-gap flux-density distributions, phase permanent magnet(PM) flux-linkage, and electromotive-force(EMF) to be predicted with acceptable accuracy. However, large discrepancies are found in the predictions of armature inductances. Then, the basic model is modified by taking into account the localized saturation effect. As a result, the electromagnetic performance can be predicted more accurately, especially for the air-gap flux-density distributions. Furthermore, two improved models are proposed by adding bypass-bridge branches in stator network, to enhance the calculating accuracy of both saturated and unsaturated armature inductances. Finally, the predicted results from the four magnetic network models are validated by both 2D finite element analysis(FEA) and experimental measurements on a machine prototype. Overall, comparisons indicate that the model with bypass-bridge branches between stator teeth and back irons exhibits best performances.展开更多

This model is built under cylindrical coordinates and enables the open-circuit air-gap flux-density distributions, phase permanent magnet(PM) flux-linkage, and electromotive-force(EMF) to be predicted with acceptable accuracy. However, large discrepancies are found in the predictions of armature inductances. Then, the basic model is modified by taking into account the localized saturation effect. As a result, the electromagnetic performance can be predicted more accurately, especially for the air-gap flux-density distributions. Furthermore, two improved models are proposed by adding bypass-bridge branches in stator network, to enhance the calculating accuracy of both saturated and unsaturated armature inductances. Finally, the predicted results from the four magnetic network models are validated by both 2D finite element analysis(FEA) and experimental measurements on a machine prototype. Overall, comparisons indicate that the model with bypass-bridge branches between stator teeth and back irons exhibits best performances.
