The results showed that IQ_23 at 10, 30and 100 μmol ·L_-1 slowed the repolarization in AP dose-dependently. The APD_90 were prolonged by15%, 28% and 31% respectively. This effect did not depend on the extracellular Ca^2+. In voltageclamp mode, IQ_23 effectively blocked both the components of the delayed rectifier potassium current(I_k), i.e., I_ks and I_kr. At concentrations of 30 and 100 μmol· L^-1, IQ_23 suppressed I_ks by 21% and 26%and suppressed I_kr by 67% and 86% respectively. But even at 100 μmol·L^-1, IQ_23 had little effect onthe inward rectifier potassium current (I_k1). It is concluded: 1. Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) is a widely used standard treatment for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) who are not suitable candidates for curative treatments. The rationale for TACE is that intra-a...Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) is a widely used standard treatment for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) who are not suitable candidates for curative treatments. The rationale for TACE is that intra-arterial chemotherapy using lipiodol and chemotherapeutic agents, followed by selective vascular embolization, results in a strong cytotoxic effect as well as ischemia(conventional TACE). Recently, drugeluting beads(DC Beads?) have been developed for transcatheter treatment of HCC to deliver higher doses of the chemotherapeutic agent and to prolong contact time with the tumor. DC Beads? can actively sequester doxorubicin hydrochloride from solution and release it in a controlled sustained fashion. Treatment with DC Beads? substantially reduced the amount of chemotherapeutic agent that reached the systemic circulation compared with conventional, lipiodol-based regimens, significantly reducing drug-related adverse events. In this article, we describe the treatment response, survival, and safety of TACE used with drugeluting beads for the treatment of HCC and discuss future therapeutic possibilities.展开更多

Aberrant crypt foci (ACF) represent the ear...The pathogenesis of colon cancer involves sequential and multistep progression of epithelial cells initiated to a cancerous state with defined precancerous intermediaries. Aberrant crypt foci (ACF) represent the earliest identifiable intermediate precancerous lesions during colon carcinogenesis in both laboratory animals and humans. ACF are easily induced by colon-specific carcinogens in rodents and can be used to learn more about the process of colon carcinogenesis. For over two decades, since its first discovery, azoxymethane (AOM)-induced rodent ACF have served as surrogate biomarkers in the screening of various anticarcinogens and carcinogens. Several dietary constituents and phytochemicals have been tested for their colon cancer chemopreventive efficacy using the ACF system. There has been substantial effort in defining and refining ACF in terms of understanding their molecular make-up, and extensive research in this field is currently in progress. In chemoprevention studies, AOM-induced rat ACF have been very successful as biomarkers, and have provided several standardized analyses of data. There have been several studies that have reported that ACF data do not correlate to actual colon tumor outcome, however, and hence there has been an ambiguity about their role as biomarkers. The scope of this mini-review is to provide valuable insights and limitations of AOM-induced rat ACF as biomarkers in colon cancer chemoprevention studies. The role of the dynamics and biological heterogeneity of ACF is critical in understanding them as biomarkers in chemoprevention studies.展开更多

From the experimental data, the excess molar volume V^E, viscosity deviation △η, and the excess energy of activation for viscous flow △G^*E were calculated. These data were correlated by the Redlich-Kister type equations to obtain the coefficients and standard deviations. The results showed a strong molecular interaction between diethylene glycol monoethyl ether and water.展开更多

A denudation threshold (T), the maximum potential denudation rate for a certain type of rock, is introduced to explain the combined effects of lithology and tectonics on landform evolution. If the tectonic uplifting rate (U) is equal to or less than the threshold rate (U ≤ T), the tectonic uplifting and terrain denudation are in dynamic equilibrium, and landforms are in a steady state. The end product should be planation surfaces whether the original landforms are flat plains or deeply dissected mountains. If U 〉 T, uplift and denudation are not able to reach a dynamic equilibrium state. The plateau surface is mostly underlain by soft rocks, such as the Mesozoic epimetamorphic argillites and Tertiary sedimentary rocks, while the mountain ranges comprise hard rocks, such as granite, gneiss and limestone. In soft rock regions, hills are low with a relative relief of mostly less than 100 m and the slopes are gentle at a gradient of 〈200. In contrast, hills can maintain steep slopes in hard rock regions. The Tibet Plateau has been under an equilibrium condition between tectonic uplifting and denudation except for the mountain ranges. The effect of t-BAMBP concentration and aqueous phase pH on the rubidium and lithium extraction equilibrium was studied, t-BAMBP/cyclohexane was efficient and selective for rubidium extraction with optimal operating conditions being pH of 13.0 and initial t-BAMBP concentration of 1.0 mol.L-1. The stoichiometry of the complex of α-BAMBP with rubidium is 4:1. The apparent extraction equilibrium constant of rubidium was calculated by fitting the experimental data.展开更多
Lattice constants, total energies and densities of states of transition metals Fe, Ru and Os with BCC, FCC and HCP structures were calculated by the GGA+PBE functional and the ultrasoft pseudo-potential plane wave met...Lattice constants, total energies and densities of states of transition metals Fe, Ru and Os with BCC, FCC and HCP structures were calculated by the GGA+PBE functional and the ultrasoft pseudo-potential plane wave method, and compared with those of the first-principles projector augmented wave (PAW) method, CALPHAD method and experimental data. The results show that the lattice stability of this work is △GBCC-HCP>△GFCC-HCP>0, agreeing well with those of PAW method in the first-principles and CALPHAD method except for BCC-Fe. And the densities of state of HCP-Ru and Os have an obvious character of stable phase, agreeing completely with the results of the total energy calculations. Further analyses of atomic population show that the transition rate of electrons from s to p state for HCP, FCC and BCC crystals increases from Fe to Os, and a stronger cohesion, a higher cohesive energy or a more stable lattice between atoms of heavier metals are formed.展开更多

The influence of such a chaotic KR makes decoherence of the first one, resulting in the emergence of classical diffusion from its quantum dynamics. Such quantum-classical transition persists by decreasing the effective Planck's constant h, and at the same time, decreasing the mass of the second KR and the interaction strength proportionally. In the limit of h → 0, due to vanishing small mass and interaction, the second KR has almost no effect on the classieal dynamics of the first one. The complexes of N235 and NA were investigated by Fourier transformation infrared spectrometry to deduce the reaction mechanism. It was found that N235/n-octanol was an efficient extractant for extracting nicotinic acid. The favorable operation conditions were equilibrium aqueous pH 4.2 to 5.5 and initial N235 concentration<0.42 mol·L-1 . The reaction processes included the reaction between neutral N235 and neutral NA and the reaction between protonated N235 and anionic NA. Based on the mass action law and some assumptions, an expression for distribution coefficient D was proposed. The apparent extraction equilibrium constants were calculated by fitting the experimental data and the results were satisfactory.展开更多

Methods: BEL-7402 cells of human hepatocellular carcinoma were inocu...Objective: To investigate anti-tumor effect of bufalin on the orthotopic transplantation tumor model of human hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice. Methods: BEL-7402 cells of human hepatocellular carcinoma were inoculated to form subcutaneous tumors in nude mice by subcutaneous injection. Then the subcutaneous tumors were implanted into the liver of nude mice, and the orthotopic transplantation tumor models of human hepatocellular carcinoma were established. Seventy-five models were randomized into 5 groups ( n = 15) . Bufalin was injected intraperitoneally into the 3 groups at dose of 1.5,1 and 0.5 mg/kg for day 15 - 24, respectively. NS group were injected equal volume saline as above and adriamycin were injected intraperitoneally into ADM group at dose of 8.0 mg/kg for day 15. Ten mice in each group were killed at day 25 and detected on morphological and ultrastructural changes in myocardium, brain, liver, kidney and tumor tissues by pathology and electron microscope. The survival time in each group were observed. Results: The tumor volumes in each group of bufalin were reduced significantly compared with NS group (P < 0.01), the survival time were prolonged in group Bu 1 and Bu 2 compared with NS group ( P < 0.05), and tumor tissues were mainly necrosis in severe or moderate degree in Bu 1, Bu 2 groups, and mild degree or moderate degree in Bu 3 group. No morphological changes were detected in myocardium, brain, liver and kidney tissues, respectively. Apoptotic characteristics could be seen in tumor tissues of group Bu 1 and group Bu 2. Conclusion: Bufalin has significant anti-tumor effects on the orthotopic transplantation tumor model of human hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice without marked toxicity. To guide cell apoptosis may be one of its anti-tumor mechanism of bufalin.展开更多

Papaveraceae and has proved to be an- ti-arrhythmic. The purpose of our study is to investigate the effects of ALL on transmural repolarizing ionic ingredients of outward potassium current (Ito) and slow delayed rectifier potassium current (IKs). Methods The monophasic action potential (MAP) technique was used to record the MAP duration of the epicardium (Epi), myocardium (M) and endocardium (Endo) of the rabbit heart and the whole cell patch clamp was used to record/to and IKs in cardiomyocytes of Epi, M and Endo layers that were isolated from rabbit ventricles. Results The effects of ALL on MAP of Epi, M and Endo layers were disequilibrium. ALL could effectively reduce the transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) in rabbit transmural ventricular wall. ALL decreased the current densities of/to and IKs in a voltage and concentration dependent way and narrowed the repolarizing differences among three layers. The analysis of gating kinetics showed ALL accelerated the channel activation ofIto in M layers and partly inhibit the channel openings of/to in Epi, M and Endo cells. On the other hand, ALL mainly slowed channel deactivation of IKs channel in Epi and Endo layers without affecting its activation. Conclusions Our study gives partially explanation about the mechanisms of tmnsmural inhibition of/to and IKs channels by ALL in rabbit myocardium. These findings provide novel perspective regarding the anti-arrhythmogenesis application of ALL in clinical settings.展开更多

In soft rock regions, hills are low with a relative relief of mostly less than 100 m and the slopes are gentle at a gradient of 〈200. In contrast, hills can maintain steep slopes in hard rock regions. The Tibet Plateau has been under an equilibrium condition between tectonic uplifting and denudation except for the mountain ranges. The plateau might have reached the present altitudes before the Quaternary.

文摘In this paper, we first theoretically report the magnetic and magneto-opticalproperties in paramagnetic media under high external magnetic field. Considering the action of theexternal magnetic Geld H_e and indirect exchange interaction H_v, the characteristic of the magneticsaturation and the property of the Faraday rotation to be nonlinear with external magnetic Geld arepresented in paramagnetic NdF_3. In terms of our theory, the indirect exchange interaction plays auimportant role in the magnetization M and the Faraday rotation θ in NdF_3 under high externalmagnetic Geld. The theory is in good agreement with experimental results. On the other hand, areasonable explanation for the temperature dependence of the ratio of the Verdet constant to themagnetic susceptibility V/x is obtained.

文摘4-Tert-butyl-2-(α-methylbenzyl) phenol (t-BAMBP) was used in cyclohexane in the extraction of rubidium from brine sources containing lithium. The effect of t-BAMBP concentration and aqueous phase pH on the rubidium and lithium extraction equilibrium was studied, t-BAMBP/cyclohexane was efficient and selective for rubidium extraction with optimal operating conditions being pH of 13.0 and initial t-BAMBP concentration of 1.0 mol.L-1. The stoichiometry of the complex of α-BAMBP with rubidium is 4:1. The apparent extraction equilibrium constant of rubidium was calculated by fitting the experimental data.

文摘Lattice constants, total energies and densities of states of transition metals Fe, Ru and Os with BCC, FCC and HCP structures were calculated by the GGA+PBE functional and the ultrasoft pseudo-potential plane wave method, and compared with those of the first-principles projector augmented wave (PAW) method, CALPHAD method and experimental data. The results show that the lattice stability of this work is △GBCC-HCP>△GFCC-HCP>0, agreeing well with those of PAW method in the first-principles and CALPHAD method except for BCC-Fe. And the densities of state of HCP-Ru and Os have an obvious character of stable phase, agreeing completely with the results of the total energy calculations. Further analyses of atomic population show that the transition rate of electrons from s to p state for HCP, FCC and BCC crystals increases from Fe to Os, and a stronger cohesion, a higher cohesive energy or a more stable lattice between atoms of heavier metals are formed.

The results show that it can not only provide the better dyeing order process, but also set dyer free from the fussy daily business and predigest task flow and heighten production efficiency.

文摘We investigate the quantum-classical transition of a kicked rotor (KR) under perturbation by a second one. The influence of such a chaotic KR makes decoherence of the first one, resulting in the emergence of classical diffusion from its quantum dynamics. Such quantum-classical transition persists by decreasing the effective Planck's constant h, and at the same time, decreasing the mass of the second KR and the interaction strength proportionally. In the limit of h → 0, due to vanishing small mass and interaction, the second KR has almost no effect on the classieal dynamics of the first one. We demonstrate this via two different coupling potentials.

文摘The distributions of nicotinic acid (NA) between water and trialkylamine (N235) dissolved in n-octanol was studied. The complexes of N235 and NA were investigated by Fourier transformation infrared spectrometry to deduce the reaction mechanism. It was found that N235/n-octanol was an efficient extractant for extracting nicotinic acid. The favorable operation conditions were equilibrium aqueous pH 4.2 to 5.5 and initial N235 concentration<0.42 mol·L-1 . The reaction processes included the reaction between neutral N235 and neutral NA and the reaction between protonated N235 and anionic NA. Based on the mass action law and some assumptions, an expression for distribution coefficient D was proposed. The apparent extraction equilibrium constants were calculated by fitting the experimental data and the results were satisfactory.

文摘Objective: To investigate anti-tumor effect of bufalin on the orthotopic transplantation tumor model of human hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice. Methods: BEL-7402 cells of human hepatocellular carcinoma were inoculated to form subcutaneous tumors in nude mice by subcutaneous injection. Then the subcutaneous tumors were implanted into the liver of nude mice, and the orthotopic transplantation tumor models of human hepatocellular carcinoma were established. Seventy-five models were randomized into 5 groups ( n = 15) . Bufalin was injected intraperitoneally into the 3 groups at dose of 1.5,1 and 0.5 mg/kg for day 15 - 24, respectively. NS group were injected equal volume saline as above and adriamycin were injected intraperitoneally into ADM group at dose of 8.0 mg/kg for day 15. Ten mice in each group were killed at day 25 and detected on morphological and ultrastructural changes in myocardium, brain, liver, kidney and tumor tissues by pathology and electron microscope. The survival time in each group were observed. Results: The tumor volumes in each group of bufalin were reduced significantly compared with NS group (P < 0.01), the survival time were prolonged in group Bu 1 and Bu 2 compared with NS group ( P < 0.05), and tumor tissues were mainly necrosis in severe or moderate degree in Bu 1, Bu 2 groups, and mild degree or moderate degree in Bu 3 group. No morphological changes were detected in myocardium, brain, liver and kidney tissues, respectively. Apoptotic characteristics could be seen in tumor tissues of group Bu 1 and group Bu 2. Conclusion: Bufalin has significant anti-tumor effects on the orthotopic transplantation tumor model of human hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice without marked toxicity. To guide cell apoptosis may be one of its anti-tumor mechanism of bufalin.
文摘Objective Allocryptopine (ALL) is an effective alkaloid of Corydalis decumbens (Thunb.) Pers. Papaveraceae and has proved to be an- ti-arrhythmic. The purpose of our study is to investigate the effects of ALL on transmural repolarizing ionic ingredients of outward potassium current (Ito) and slow delayed rectifier potassium current (IKs). Methods The monophasic action potential (MAP) technique was used to record the MAP duration of the epicardium (Epi), myocardium (M) and endocardium (Endo) of the rabbit heart and the whole cell patch clamp was used to record/to and IKs in cardiomyocytes of Epi, M and Endo layers that were isolated from rabbit ventricles. Results The effects of ALL on MAP of Epi, M and Endo layers were disequilibrium. ALL could effectively reduce the transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) in rabbit transmural ventricular wall. ALL decreased the current densities of/to and IKs in a voltage and concentration dependent way and narrowed the repolarizing differences among three layers. The analysis of gating kinetics showed ALL accelerated the channel activation ofIto in M layers and partly inhibit the channel openings of/to in Epi, M and Endo cells. On the other hand, ALL mainly slowed channel deactivation of IKs channel in Epi and Endo layers without affecting its activation. Conclusions Our study gives partially explanation about the mechanisms of tmnsmural inhibition of/to and IKs channels by ALL in rabbit myocardium. These findings provide novel perspective regarding the anti-arrhythmogenesis application of ALL in clinical settings.
