A method of space-time block coding (STBC) system based on adaptive beamforming of cyclostationarity signal algorithm is proposed.The method uses cyclostationarity of signals to achieve adaptive beamforming,then con...A method of space-time block coding (STBC) system based on adaptive beamforming of cyclostationarity signal algorithm is proposed.The method uses cyclostationarity of signals to achieve adaptive beamforming,then constructs a pair of low correlated transmit beams based on beamform estimation of multiple component signals of uplink.Using these two selected transmit beams,signals encoded by STBC are transmitted to achieve diversity gain and beamforming gain at the same time,and increase the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of downlink.With simple computation and fast convergence performance,the proposed scheme is applicable for time division multiple access (TDMA) wireless communication operated in a complex interference environment.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better performance than conventional STBC,and can obtain a gain of about 5 dB when the bit error ratio (BER) is 10-4.展开更多

In its implementation, a data mapping algorithm is used to obtain offset-plane-wave data sets from the common-midpoint gathers followed by a non-recursive phase-shift solution with amplitude correction to generate common-image gathers in offset-ray-parameter domain and a structural image. Theoretical model tests and a real data example show that our prestack time migration approach is helpful for AVO analysis in complex geological environments.展开更多

In this paper, a novel segmentation approach of point-sampled surfaces is proposed, which is based on the level set evolution scheme. To segment the model so as to align the patch boundaries with high curvature zones, the driven speed function for the zero level set inside narrow band is defined by the extended curvature field, which approaches zero speed as the propagating front approaches high curvature zone. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by our ex- perimental results. Furthermore, two applications of model segmentation are illustrated, such as piecewise parameterization and local editing for point-sampled geometry.展开更多

With obtained time series of annual highest water level (HWL), annual lowest water lev...As one of the fastest developing regions in China, the middle-lower Yangtze River (MLYR) is vulnerable to floods and droughts. With obtained time series of annual highest water level (HWL), annual lowest water level (LWL) and the corresponding fiver discharges from three gauging stations in MLYR that covering the period 1987-2011, the current study evaluated the change character- istics of annual extreme water levels and the correlation with fiver discharges by using the methods of Vend test, Mann-Whitney-Pettitt (MWP) test and double mass analysis. Major result indicated a decreasing/increasing trend for annual HWL/LWL of all stations in MLYR during the study period. A change point in 1999 was identified for annual HWL at the Hankou and Datong stations. The year 2006 was found to be the critical year that the relationship between annual extreme water levels and fiver discharges changed in the MLYR. With contrast to annual LWL in MLYR, further investigation revealed that the change characteristics of annual HWL were highly consistent with regional precipitation in the Yangtze River Basin, while the linkage with Three Gorges Dam (TGD) operation is not strong. Our observation also pointed out that the effect of serious down cutting of the riverbed and the enlargement of the cross-section area during the initial period of TGD operation caused the downward trend of the relationship between annual LWL and river discharge. Whereas, the relatively raised river water level before the flood season due to TGD regulation since 2006 explained for the changing upward trend of the relationship between annual HWL and river discharge.展开更多

We used this estimator to construct a prior model of the image intensity and curvature profile of the structure from training images. In recent decades,materials science has experienced rapid development and posed increasingly high requirements for the characterizations of structures,properties,and performances.Herein,we report on our recent establi...In recent decades,materials science has experienced rapid development and posed increasingly high requirements for the characterizations of structures,properties,and performances.Herein,we report on our recent establishment of a multi-domain(energy,space,time)highresolution platform for integrated spectroscopy and microscopy characterizations,offering an unprecedented way to analyze materials in terms of spectral(energy)and spatial mapping as well as temporal evolution.We present several proof-of-principle results collected on this platform,including in-situ Raman imaging(high-resolution Raman,polarization Raman,low-wavenumber Raman),time-resolved photoluminescence imaging,and photoelectrical performance imaging.It can be envisioned that our newly established platform would be very powerful and effective in the multi-domain high-resolution characterizations of various materials of photoelectrochemical importance in the near future.展开更多

This paper proposes a novel mapping scheme for bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding(BICM-ID).The symbol mapping is composed of two QPSK with different radiuses and phases,called cross equalization-...This paper proposes a novel mapping scheme for bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding(BICM-ID).The symbol mapping is composed of two QPSK with different radiuses and phases,called cross equalization-8PSK-quasi-semi set partitioning(CE-8PSK-Quasi-SSP).Providing the same average power,the proposed scheme can increase the minimum squared Euclidean distance(MSED)and then improve the receiving performance of BICM-ID compared with conventional symbol mapping schemes.Simultaneously,a modified iteration decoding algorithm is proposed in this paper.In the process of iteration decoding,different proportion of the extrinsic information to the systematic observations results in distinct decoding performance.At high SNR(4~9dB),the observation information plays a more important role than the extrinsic information.Simulation results show that the proportion set at 1.2 is more suitable for the novel mapping in BICM-ID.When the BER is 10^(-4),more than 0.9dB coding gain over Rayleigh channels can be achieved for the improved mapping and decoding scheme.展开更多

In addition,for the in-place analysis using structure analysis computer system (SACS),the procedure of Visual Basic for Application (VBA) is developed to map AQWA-LINE hydrodynamic loading to the SACS integrated hull/topsides model;for the in-place analysis using structure engineering system analysis model (SESAM),many computer aided applications are made to aid the post-processing. Taking the Frameless Network Architecture(FNA) as a starting point, a cell-lessbased network topology for a multi-tier Heterogeneous Network(Het Net) and ultra-dense network is proposed. The FNA network topology modeling is researched with centralized processing and distributed antenna deployments. The Antenna Element(AE) is released as a new dimensional radio resource that is included in the centralized Radio Resource Management(RRM) processes. This contributes to the on-demand user-centric serving-set associations with cell-edge effect elimination. The Control Plane(CP) and User Plane(UP) separation and adaptation are introduced for energy efficiency improvements. The centralized RRM and different optimization goals are discussed for fully exploring the merits from the centralized computing of C-RAN. Considering the complexity, near-optimal approaches for specific users' Quality-of-Service(Qo S) requirements are addressed. Finally, based on the research highlighted above, the way forward of C-RAN evolution is discussed.展开更多

This can be done using an active contours to detect regions in a given image, based on techniques of curve evolution, Mumford Shah functional for segmentation and level sets. The paper classified the images into different intensity regions based on Markov random field, then detected regions whose boundaries are not necessarily defined by gradient by minimizing an energy of Mumford Shah functional for segmentation which can be seen as a particular case of the minimal partition problem. In the level set formulation, the problem becomes a mean curvature flow like evolving the active contour, which will stop on the desired boundary. The stopping term does not depend on the gradient of the image, as in the classical active contour and the initial curve of level set can be anywhere in the image, and interior contours are automatically detected. The final image segmentation is one closed boundary per actual region in the image.展开更多

文摘This paper proposes a novel mapping scheme for bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding(BICM-ID).The symbol mapping is composed of two QPSK with different radiuses and phases,called cross equalization-8PSK-quasi-semi set partitioning(CE-8PSK-Quasi-SSP).Providing the same average power,the proposed scheme can increase the minimum squared Euclidean distance(MSED)and then improve the receiving performance of BICM-ID compared with conventional symbol mapping schemes.Simultaneously,a modified iteration decoding algorithm is proposed in this paper.In the process of iteration decoding,different proportion of the extrinsic information to the systematic observations results in distinct decoding performance.At high SNR(4~9dB),the observation information plays a more important role than the extrinsic information.Simulation results show that the proportion set at 1.2 is more suitable for the novel mapping in BICM-ID.When the BER is 10^(-4),more than 0.9dB coding gain over Rayleigh channels can be achieved for the improved mapping and decoding scheme.
文摘This paper presents some insights on the state-of-the-art practice that has been utilized recently in the inplace structural strength and fatigue analysis for topsides on deepwater floating platforms such as tension leg plat-form (TLP) and semi-submersibles. Emphases are put on analysis software,geometric and mass modeling,hydro-dynamic loading and its mapping,and analysis procedures. In addition,for the in-place analysis using structure analysis computer system (SACS),the procedure of Visual Basic for Application (VBA) is developed to map AQWA-LINE hydrodynamic loading to the SACS integrated hull/topsides model;for the in-place analysis using structure engineering system analysis model (SESAM),many computer aided applications are made to aid the post-processing. These applications have been used in structural analyses for a few TLP and semi-submersible plat-form topsides,and are briefly introduced in this paper.

文摘The key technologies involved in the evolution of the Cloud-based Radio Access Network(C-RAN) are discussed in this paper. Taking the Frameless Network Architecture(FNA) as a starting point, a cell-lessbased network topology for a multi-tier Heterogeneous Network(Het Net) and ultra-dense network is proposed. The FNA network topology modeling is researched with centralized processing and distributed antenna deployments. The Antenna Element(AE) is released as a new dimensional radio resource that is included in the centralized Radio Resource Management(RRM) processes. This contributes to the on-demand user-centric serving-set associations with cell-edge effect elimination. The Control Plane(CP) and User Plane(UP) separation and adaptation are introduced for energy efficiency improvements. The centralized RRM and different optimization goals are discussed for fully exploring the merits from the centralized computing of C-RAN. Considering the complexity, near-optimal approaches for specific users' Quality-of-Service(Qo S) requirements are addressed. Finally, based on the research highlighted above, the way forward of C-RAN evolution is discussed.
文摘This paper is to detect regions (objects) boundaries, also to isolate and extract individual components from a medical image. This can be done using an active contours to detect regions in a given image, based on techniques of curve evolution, Mumford Shah functional for segmentation and level sets. The paper classified the images into different intensity regions based on Markov random field, then detected regions whose boundaries are not necessarily defined by gradient by minimizing an energy of Mumford Shah functional for segmentation which can be seen as a particular case of the minimal partition problem. In the level set formulation, the problem becomes a mean curvature flow like evolving the active contour, which will stop on the desired boundary. The stopping term does not depend on the gradient of the image, as in the classical active contour and the initial curve of level set can be anywhere in the image, and interior contours are automatically detected. The final image segmentation is one closed boundary per actual region in the image.
