The seedlings of Dendrobium officinale interplanted with Pleurotus os- treatus grew by 2.78 cm during 10 weeks on cultivation beds, and the seedlings grew by 2.68 cm in the cultivation beds without interplanting arrangement. These demonstrated that the interplanting of Dendrobium officinale and Pleurotus ostreatus has none adverse effects on growth of Dendrobium officinale.展开更多

AMLs of the small intestine are exceedingly rare.Here, a case of a 28-year-old man,who presented with ileal intussusception caused by ileal AML is reported.The clinicopathological and immunohistochemical findings of ileal AMLs are discussed and the literature on small intestinal AMLs is reviewed.展开更多

The market is thus incomplete implying that perfect hedging is not possible. To derive a hedging strategy, it follows the approach based on the idea of hedging under a mean-variance criterion suggested by Schweizer. A very simple solution of this hedging problem by using the numeraire method was presented and some examples with explicit solutions were given.展开更多
The California least tern (Sternula antillarum browni) is an endangered species. The two largest colonies of this bird species in the San Francisco Bay, California, USA, are located 23 km apart at Alameda Point and ...The California least tern (Sternula antillarum browni) is an endangered species. The two largest colonies of this bird species in the San Francisco Bay, California, USA, are located 23 km apart at Alameda Point and Hayward Regional Shoreline. The Alameda Point colony, on the former Naval Air Station, Alameda, has grown at an average rate of 9.2% per year since its discovery in 1976 and has a nesting density ranging from 1-153 nests per ha. Long-term breeding success at Alameda has averaged 0.86 fledglings per breeding pair. Least tems began appearing in 2003, at an island in Hayward enhanced with substrate mediums and social attraction devices. Successful breeding attempts have been observed at the Hayward colony since 2006. The Hayward colony has grown at an average rate of 51.5% per year, has a nesting density ranging from 33-333 nests per ha and long-term breeding success average of 0.87 fledglings per breeding pair. Dropped fish have been collected from both colonies, and silversides (family Atherinopsidae) are the dominant prey. Alameda terns forage on a greater variety of species than the Hayward terns. The regression results indicate the importance of Northern anchovy (Engraulis mordax) to the breeding success of the Alameda colony.展开更多
Research on the dynamic properties of a plasma sheath coupled with pitching motion of the vehicle has great significance in solving the problem of communication interruption in the process of vehicle reentry.This pape...Research on the dynamic properties of a plasma sheath coupled with pitching motion of the vehicle has great significance in solving the problem of communication interruption in the process of vehicle reentry.This paper investigates the dynamic properties of the plasma sheath by using the simplified conventional Burnett(SCB)equations and the Navier-Stokes(NS)equations with the thermochemical non-equilibrium effect.The eleven-species chemical kinetic models are applied to the comparison and there is verification of a dynamic plasma sheath simulation for the first time.After the introduction of vehicle pitching motion,the dynamic results are more consistent with the experimental data than the simulated results when treating it as static state.The plasma sheath characteristic parameters show periodic properties,whose changing period is the same as the pitching motion period.However,because of different velocities of the pitching motion,phase shifts exist in different positions of the vehicle.The enhancement of the rarefied effect weakens the disturbance to the plasma sheath.This research reveals the distribution and regularities of the dynamic plasma sheath.It is significant in solving the ionization blackout problem and the design of the reentry vehicle,and provides reliable data for further research on the dynamic plasma sheath.展开更多

We construct a simple economy with continuous consumption, in which we “endogenize” the stochastic process of prices in the option pricing model based on no-arbitrage analysis. With constant relative risk aversion type utility function assumption, we present Merton (1973) option pricing model and find the consistency of the model with a general equilibrium framework. We extend the model to the market with m securities and it turns out similar results.展开更多
