The estimated longevity of the squid...The age, growth and maturation of Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis were determined with statolith data collected with a light purse seine from the Bashi Channel of central Pacific Ocean. The estimated longevity of the squid was no more than 6 months for females, and no more than 5 months for males. Growth in mantle length(ML) was best described by logistic models for both females and males, while growth in body weight(BW) was best fitted by power curves. The maximum absolute growth rate(AGR) and instantaneous growth rate(IGR) in ML or BW both occurred at 91–105 days for females and 76–90 days for males. Back calculated hatching dates were from October to January, with a peak in December, although the short duration of sampling date might have had an influence on the result. The lower percentage of mature females(37.2%) suggested that the study area during the sampling date was not a spawning ground for the species. Size and age at first maturity were 183 mm ML and 136 days for females, whereas they were 156 mm ML and 85 days for males.展开更多
The interannual variability of the sea surface temperature (SST) in the South China Sea (SCS) is investigated according to its relationship with E1 Nifio/La Nifia (EN/LN) using monthly products from ICOADS. The ...The interannual variability of the sea surface temperature (SST) in the South China Sea (SCS) is investigated according to its relationship with E1 Nifio/La Nifia (EN/LN) using monthly products from ICOADS. The SCS SST bears two peaks associated with EN/LN and shows the asymmetric features. Coinciding with the mature phase of EN/LN, the first SST warming/cooling peaks in December(0)-February(1) (DJF(1)) and centers in the southern part. The major difference is in the amplitude associated with the strength of EN/LN. However, the SCS SST anomaly shows distinct difference after the mature phase of EN/LN. The EN SST warm- ing develops a mid-summer peak in June-August(1) (JJA(1)) and persists up to September-October(l), with the same amplitude of the first warming peak. Whereas the LN SST cooling peaks in May(l), it decays slowly until the end of the year, with amplitude much weaker. Comparing with SST and atmospheric circulations, the weak response and early termination of the second cooling is due to the failure of the cyclonic wind anomalies to develop in the northwest Pacific during JJA(1).展开更多

Here, transcription analysis showed that the mRNA expression level of 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase gene (VvNCED1) increases first, rapidly in mesocarp before the onset of grape berry ripening. After VvNCED1 peaks its expression level, ABA content increases rapidly in mesocarp coupled with an increase in both soluble sugar content and pH value. On the onset of berry ripening, VvNCED1 transcripts decline rapidly to its lowest point, then increases slightly. Whereas, the mRNA expression level of B-glucosidase gene VvBGI, on the whole, increases constantly during grape berry ripening. During berry de-greening, ABA glucosyltransferase (VvGT) and ABA 8'-hydroxylase (VvCYPI) equilibrate ABA level; during berry coloring-up, VvGT predominantly equilibrates ABA level, namely, the up-regulation of ABA level mainly leads from VvNCED1 and VvBG1 gene high expression; the down-regulation of ABA level leads mainly from VvCYP! transcript level both in ABA content- and developmental phase-dependence manner. In conclusion, our main results show that VvNCED1 and VvBG1 genes are closely related to grape berry ripening.展开更多
本研究以142名英语专业学生为对象,探讨了元语篇对听力理解的作用。全体学生分为两组,分别听同一个TEM8(Test for English Majors-Grade 8)微型学术讲座的不同版本(含元语篇和不含元语篇)并完成相同的任务和问卷调查。研究结果表明:1)...本研究以142名英语专业学生为对象,探讨了元语篇对听力理解的作用。全体学生分为两组,分别听同一个TEM8(Test for English Majors-Grade 8)微型学术讲座的不同版本(含元语篇和不含元语篇)并完成相同的任务和问卷调查。研究结果表明:1)两组学生听力理解率差异达显著水平;2)元语篇能辅助话题熟悉程度提高听力理解率;3)元语篇对不同语言水平学生提高听力理解率的贡献有差异;4)学生能无意识感知讲座中元语篇的有无并据此判断讲座质量的优劣。以上结果对外语教学的启示意义在于:语篇理解过程中,篇章组织的相关知识与背景知识同样重要;由于语篇理解受多个变量的影响,仅元语篇的出现并不一定总能保证好的理解效果。因此,教学中在重视对学生进行语言形式和语言意义训练的同时,更应注重对其逻辑思维以及综合素质的训练。展开更多
