Towards the Integrating Wind Power into Power Grid in China

With abundant wind resources and high pressure imposed on en-vironmental protection, wind power development has a promising future. Butdue to intermittent nature, wind power can bring into full play only if being con-nected into power grid to ensure its supply reliability and continuity, aswell as operational economy. However, technical and market barriers haveprevented wind power from integrating into power grid. To foster wind powerdevelopment, these barriers should be removed by both government incentivepolicies and sophisticated technologies.

Liquid film falling behaviour on horizontal circular cylinder

The flow pattern behaviour of falling liquid film over three horizontal cylinders was evaluated.These flows can take three forms:discrete droplets,individual jets,and continuous sheet,and special attention is paid to the effects of the physical properties and geometrical parameters of the first two forms(droplets and jets) because these forms are more important in heat-transfer behaviour and less research has been published for these forms,The flow modes and experimental results were successfully compared with previous experimental literatures,and also the effects of liquid flow rate,tube diameter,and tube spacing on departure site spacing,in both drop and jet modes,were evaluated in the low Galileo number and high viscosity fluid(cooking oil),to help developing criteria for determining falling film modes and their transitions,and to understand the heat transfer characteristics associated with each mode.

An Empirical Study of Characteristics of the Spatial Distribution of Taobao Travel Intemet Store

The development of tourism depends on the development of physical stores and the level of economic development of tourism, distribution, and analysis of the main research shop this virtual store. In this study, based on China＇s largest e-commerce website --- Taobao C2C data to the country＇s 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities （excluding Hung Kong, Macao and Taiwan） for the study, and regression analysis using ArcGIS software tools, from the provincial tourism C2C e-commerce Factors affecting the development of conduct Regression analysis, and An Empirical Study of the geographical distribution of the electrons. The results showed that the development of China＇s tourism e-commerce C2C level and the level of tourism development and local economic development are very relevant. The degree of economic development and the level of development of tourism and travel Taobao C2C e number of shops are highly correlated.

Sustainability Aspects of the Wheat Sector

In the frame of the present study, we examined the wheat sector with respect to economic and social sustainability. Accordingly, two research questions were formulated： （1） Is wheat production sustainable in economic terms？ and （2） Is wheat production sustainable in social terms？ Our view is that the content of sustainability can be defined on a case-by-case basis, and in our case, wheat production provides this content. To answer the research questions, we collected statistical data on the production area, average yield, production volume, selling price, consumption of wheat, and evaluated the tendencies prevalent in the sector. We suppose that in social terms, sustainability means maintaining consumption at least at a constant level, knowing that this sector produces considerable share of the direct and indirect food raw materials. A chief dilemma is that world population is continuously growing, although the size of the cultivated area in the wheat sector has not indicated significant changes over the past few decades. Unless increasing the yields, severe decrease may occur in the per capita production of wheat in the long run. In this case, the current consumption level will not be sustainable in the medium run. In addition, in the long run, it may even have influence on the consumption level of other commodities.

Effectiveness of the Global Banking System in 2010： A Data Envelopment Analysis Approach

The current crisis has revealed the weaknesses of the global financial in general and its banking system in particular and puts forward a requirement for assessing the effectiveness and stability of the banking sectors across countries. Based on available data from 64 countries over the world, the author tried to evaluate the effectiveness of the banking sectors in those countries through the view point of the data envelopment analysis approach to define how the global banking systems is under the effect of the current crisis. Findings from the research showed that banking systems in advanced economies are still more effective than in developing countries. Moreover, it explained the effect of the current financial crisis, the role of public finance （and the government）, and the development of the （privately） commercial banks to the effectiveness of the banking sectors. The research also explained some determinants that can affect the effectiveness of the banking system, including inflation, bank concentration, and level of economic development.

The effective propagation constants of SH wave in composites reinforced by dispersive parallel nanofibers

In the present paper, the effective propagation constants of elastic SH waves in composites with randomly distributed parallel cylindrical nanofibers are studied. The surface stress effects are considered based on the surface elasticity theory and non-classical interfacial conditions between the nanofiber and the host are derived. The scattering waves from individual nanofibers embedded in an infinite elastic host are obtained by the plane wave expansion method. The scattering waves from all fibers are summed up to obtain the multiple scattering waves. The interactions among random dispersive nanofibers are taken into account by the effective field approximation. The effective propagation constants are obtained by the configurational average of the multiple scattering waves. The effective speed and attenuation of the averaged wave and the associated dynamical effective shear modulus of composites are numerically calculated. Based on the numerical results, the size effects of the nanofibers on the effective propagation constants and the effective modulus are discussed.

New Exact Solutions and Dynamics in(3+1)-Dimensional Gross–Pitaevskii Equation with Repulsive Harmonic Potential

Using an improved homogeneous balance principle and an F-expansion technique, we construct the new exact periodic traveling wave solutions to the(3+1)-dimensional Gross–Pitaevskii equation with repulsive harmonic potential. In the limit cases, the solitary wave solutions are obtained as well. We also investigate the dynamical evolution of the solitons with a time-dependent complicated potential.
