The restrained three-DOF plan...A three-DOF (degree of freedom) planar robot completely restrained and positioned parallel pulled by four wires was studied. The wire driving properties were analyzed through experiments. The restrained three-DOF planar platform was established based on slippery course and bearing, and dSPACE real-time control system was used to perform the platform's motion control experiment on robot. Based on the kinematic equation and mechanical balance equation of moving platform, the stiffness of the robot system was analyzed and the calibration scheme of the system considering wire tension was put forward. Position servo control experiments were carried out, position servo tracking precision was analyzed, and real-time wire tension was detected. The results show that the moving error of the moving platform tracking is small (the maximum difference is about 3%), and the rotation error is large (the maximum difference is about 12%). The wire tension has wave properties (the wire tension fluctuation is about 10 N).展开更多

Starting with an initial B-spline curve, the finite element method is adopted to make the active B-spline curve converge towards the target curve without the need of data points parameterization. A strategy of automatic control point insertion during the B-spline active contour deformation, adaptive to the shape of the planar curve, is also given. Using eight years of time-variant gravity measurements from the GRACE gravity satellite mission, we estimate monthly terrestrial water storage variations in the North China Plain between August 2002 and August 2010. W...Using eight years of time-variant gravity measurements from the GRACE gravity satellite mission, we estimate monthly terrestrial water storage variations in the North China Plain between August 2002 and August 2010. We find that during this period, the water storage is not constant but accelerate at a rate of -1.1 cm/yr over time. The study confirms that the relatively long-term trend of water storage in the North China Plain (by 13-point moving average) is consistent well with that by linear fitting. Two hydrological models, CPC and GLDAS, are adopted in calculating surface water variations, with results indicating that they agree with those of GRACE. Furthermore, rates of -0.6 cm/yr for surface water variations and -0.5 cm/yr for groundwater variations are found in the North China Plain during the study period. Decrease of rainfall and the groundwater over-exploitation are possibly the main causes for groundwater depletion in the North China Plain. The results will be helpful for better understanding climatic changes and provide reference for the management of water resources and the establishment of policies on preventing and alleviating natural hazards.展开更多
A closed-form out-of-plane dynamic displacement response of a curved track subjected to moving loads was proposed.The track structure was modeled as a planar curved Timoshenko beam periodically supported by the double...A closed-form out-of-plane dynamic displacement response of a curved track subjected to moving loads was proposed.The track structure was modeled as a planar curved Timoshenko beam periodically supported by the double-layer spring-damping elements.The general dynamic displacement response induced by the moving loads along the curve on the elastic semi-infinite space was firstly obtained in the frequency domain,according to the Duhamel integral and the dynamic reciprocity theorem.In the case of the periodic curved track structure subjected to moving loads,the dynamic displacement equation was simplified into a form of summation within the basic track cell instead of the integral.The transfer function for the curved track was expressed in the form of a transfer matrix.Single and series moving loads were involved in the calculation program.For the verification of the analytical model,the mid-span vertical deflection of a simply support curved beam subjected to moving load was recalculated and compared with the same case in the reference.The research results indicate that:under the same moving loads,the displacement response of the curved track decreases slightly with the increasing track radius,and the displacement response of the curved track with the radius greater than or equal to 600 m is almost equivalent to the displacement response of the straight track;the frequency spectrum of the curved track is more abundant than that of the straight track,which may result in more wheel-rail resonance and rail corrugation in the curved lines.展开更多
