By using the continuum approximation, we set up the differential equations of motion for an arbitrary particle in the square lattice which subjects to an external periodic substrate potential. The exact solitary waves of the system are found for special cases. We conclude that the adhesive force f and the angle between propagation directions of upper and lower layers can affect these waves.展开更多

The objective is to instruct future interventions for improvement in the living condition where it is particularly important for the success of the activities predicted there. Surveys on thermal comfort along with goers of the squares were held on three consecutive days in April 2013 and February 2014 with microclimate monitoring of the places adopting the predictive PET (physiological equivalent temperature) index calculated based on the bioclimatic model Rayman. The obtained data set generated valuable information about the pattern of thermal comfort allowing understanding the analytical correlations between PET index, climate variables and the perception of comfort. The article seeks to contribute towards the recognition of bioclimatic specificities in the project process aimed to the improvement of the environmental and social performance of public squares and aspects that are relevant to the urban planners.展开更多

For Rorty, religious truths would be the main obstacles for the development of freedom and, at the same time, for human happiness. Rorty introduces the concepts of contingency and literary culture to express the situation of personal moral development, stressing that our life must be seen as an endless narration. So, there is no fixed development given once and for all. Rorty's anticlericalism is also based on the idea that the creation of clerical institutions and hierarchies is dangerous in the sense that they pose demands which go beyond individual perspectives and make religious obligations be prior to moral ones. Nevertheless, there are some misconceptions in Rorty's position when he discusses the idea of moral obligation and the relationship between religion and religious institutions.展开更多

When the field-specific knowledge is preliminary and in view of recent and potential affluence of data from genetics, finance and on-line social networks, etc., such(s, T, p)-triply diverging models enjoy ultimate flexibility in terms of modeling, and they can be used as a data-guided first step of investigation. However, model selection consistency and other theoretical properties were addressed only for independent data, leaving time series largely uncovered. On a simple linear regression model endowed with a weakly dependent sequence, this paper applies a penalized least squares(PLS) approach. Under regularity conditions, we show sign consistency, derive finite sample bound with high probability for estimation error, and prove that PLS estimate is consistent in L_2 norm with rate (s log s/T)~1/2.展开更多

In this paper a new set of exact solutions of Einstein field equations for spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type Ⅰ space-time have been obtained. The solutions of the Einstein's field equations are obtained by considering(i) the power law relation between Hubble parameter H and scale factor R and(ii) scale factor of the form R =-1/t + t^2, t > 1. The assumptions lead to constant and variable deceleration parameter respectively. The physical and dynamical behaviors of the models have been discussed with the help of graphical representations. Also we have discussed the stability and physical acceptability of solutions for solution type-Ⅰ and solution type-Ⅱ.展开更多
