However, traditional scrubbing process faces a great limitation in the confined space. Therefore, there is an urgent demand to develop high-efficiency process intensification technology for such a system. In this article, H_2S absorption experimental research was conducted in a rotating packed bed(RPB) reactor with ferric chelate absorbent and a mixture of N_2 and H_2S, which was used to simulate natural gas. The effects of absorbent p H value, gas–liquid ratio, gravity level of RPB, absorption temperature and character of the packing on the desulfurization efficiency were investigated. The results showed that H_2S removal efficiency could reach above 99.6% under the most of the experimental condition and above 99.9% under the optimal condition. A long-time continuous experiment was conducted to investigate the stability of the whole process combining absorption and regeneration. The result showed that the process could well realize simultaneous desulfurization and absorbent regeneration, and the H_2S removal efficiency kept relatively stable in the whole duration of 72 h. It can be clearly seen that high gravity technology desulfurization process, which is simple, high-efficiency, and space intensive, has a good prospect for industrial application of H_2S removal in confined space.展开更多

The gas-liquid volumetric mass transfer coefficients kLa are obtained by measuring the dissolution rate of H2 and CO. The influences of the main operation conditions, such as temperature, pressure, superficial gas velocity and solid concentration, are studied systematically. Two empirical correlations are proposed to predict kLa values for H2 and CO in liquid paraffin/solid particles slurry bubble column reactors.展开更多

The emotional states of animals such as fear were analysed with the behavioural tests (open field, tonic immobility) and stress-induced hyperthermia (SIH). These tests were the criterion for assigning animals to two experimental groups: group I, 10 males and 20 females with the highest total motor activity (A); group II, 10 males and 20 females showing little or no motor activity (N). Important differences were found in male and female fertility. During the first week, 80% of males mated in group I compared to only 20% in group II. Despite their normal breeding condition, passive males were timid and ponderous during mating, unlike active males which mated willingly and rapidly. Fertility was high in both groups (87.5% and 94.7% in group I and II). Unlike females from group II, females from group I showed no tendency towards nest building. 40% of females from group I gave birth in different cage areas, while 90% of females from group II gave birth in nest boxes with down and straw bedding. No differences were found between the active and passive lines for body weight at birth or at 35 days of age.展开更多

Experimental results show that the pressure gradient for hang-up to occur is independent of the materials height in the hopper and the diameter of orifice and equals to (dpw/dl)s, which can be predicted by Eq. (7). While the corresponding gas velocity in the standpipe equals to the incipient fluidized velocity of particles at the high pressure and can be predicted by Kwauk's equation.展开更多

Methods: Sixty SPF-class male DS rats were divided into 2 groups, 20 for normobaric, hypoxic conditions and the other 40 for hypobaric, hypoxic conditions. For each group, the pulmonary arterial pressure and carotid arterial pressure indicators of rats were examined by using the physiological multi-detector, and the pulmonary vascular changes in the structure were observed. Results: The normobaric/hypobaric hypoxic with high carbon dioxide environment can promote the formation of pulmonary hypertension and accelerate changes in pulmonary vascular remodeling, and promote the right ventricular hypertrophy. Conclusion: Clinical applications showed that the animal experimental cabin has observed and controlled accurately. The result was safe, reliable and reproducible. The cabin can successfully establish the pulmonary hypertension model in normobaric/hypobaric hypoxic with high carbon dioxide environment, and in order to study the physiological mechanism of a variety of circulation and respiratory diseases caused by lack of oxygen, which provided an experimental technology platform for clinical research.展开更多
