Siderite,as an abundant iron ore,has not been effectively utilized,with a low utilization rate.In this study,the in-situ kinetics and mechanism of siderite during suspension magnetization roasting(SMR)were investigate...Siderite,as an abundant iron ore,has not been effectively utilized,with a low utilization rate.In this study,the in-situ kinetics and mechanism of siderite during suspension magnetization roasting(SMR)were investigated to improve the selective conversion of siderite to magnetite and CO,enriching the theoretical system of green SMR using siderite as a reductant.According to the gas products analyses,the peak value of the reaction rate increased with increasing temperature,and its curves presented the feature of an early peak and long tail.The mechanism function of the siderite pyrolysis was the contraction sphere model(R_(3)):f(α)=3(1−α)2/3;E_(α)was 46.4653 kJ/mol;A was 0.5938 s^(−1);the kinetics equation was k=0.5938exp[−46.4653/(RT)].The in-situ HT-XRD results indicated that siderite was converted into magnetite and wüstite that exhibited a good crystallinity in SMR under a N_(2) atmosphere.At 620℃,the saturation magnetization(M_(s)),remanence magnetization(Mr),and coercivity(Hc)of the product peaked at 53.63×10^(-3)A·m^(2)/g,10.23×10^(-3)A·m^(2)/g,and 12.40×10^(3)A/m,respectively.Meanwhile,the initial particles with a smooth surface were transformed into particles with a porous and loose structure in the roasting process,which would contribute to reducing the grinding cost.展开更多

The analytical results of magnetic fabrics show that the values of H are high (〉 10% in general), so the ductile deformations of the Precambrian rock are strong. The orientation of the maximum principal stress inferred from the minimum magnetic susceptibility is nearly S-N, NE-SW and NW-SE. The Flinn diagram of the magnetic fabrics show that the strain pattern is oblate and constrictional type. Magnetic foliation of great majority of rock samples is well developed and the magnetic lineation is poor and the magnetic susceptibility ellipsoid is flattened. The magnetic lineation of the minority rock samples is well developed and the magnetic foliation is poor and the magnetic susceptibility ellipsoid is prolate. According to the geological field and the magnetic fabrics, there are 3 times tectonic stress field in SN directed extruding, NW-SE directed extruding, NW-SE directed extension. It shows that the Nyalam area has undergone process the orientation of SN, NW-SE nappe structure and NW-SE directed extension structure. The change of tectonic stress is reflected by the field characteristics of the Precambrian rock magnetic fabrics that is the direct responding result of the arc-continental, continent-continental collision between the India and Asian continents in the late part of the Late Cretaceous to Late Eocene and subsequently shifted to intra-continental convergent, the plateau uplifting and extension structure stage since the Late Eocene.展开更多

Both the compounds are found to be antiferro...Magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effects (MCEs) of the HoPdA1 compounds with the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type and the orthorhombic TiNiSi-type structures are investigated. Both the compounds are found to be antiferromagnet with the Nrel tem- perature TN=12 and 10 K, respectively. A field-induced metamagnetic transition from antiferromagnetic (AFM) state to ferro- magnetic (FM) state is observed below TN. For the hexagonal HoPdA1, a small magnetic field can induce an FM-like state due to a weak AFM coupling, which leads to a high saturation magnetization and gives rise to a large MCE around TN. The maxi- mal value of magnetic entropy change (ASM) is -20.6 J/kg K with a refrigerant capacity (RC) value of 386 J/kg for a field change of 0-5 T. For the orthorhombic HoPdA1, the critical field required for metamagnetic transition is estimated to be about 1.5 T, showing a strong AFM coupling. However, the maximal ASM value is still -13.7 J/kg K around TN for a field change of 0-5 T. The large reversible ASM and considerable RC suggest that HoPdA1 may be an appropriate candidate for magnetic re- frigerant in a low temperature range.展开更多
