The relationship between art and spiritual are explored by reviewing the published conversation, beginning with Kandinsky's On the Spiritual in Art, then viewing highlights from the classic text Art, Creativity and t...The relationship between art and spiritual are explored by reviewing the published conversation, beginning with Kandinsky's On the Spiritual in Art, then viewing highlights from the classic text Art, Creativity and the Sacred and ending with excerpts from the journal Image. The ways in which art is similar to religion are discussed. Pertinent concepts are explored, with awareness of shifting definitions and application of these concepts. This conversation seems to present a consensus that there are aspects of art that overlap with the spiritual or religious. There is not, however, consensus on what these aspects are or their significance to society, as perspectives and understanding continue to change with growing complexities and multiple viewpoints within this interdisciplinary field. It does seem to bring into question the distinction between the spiritual and the secular.展开更多
Ultraviolet(UV)visualization has extensive applications in military and civil fields such as security monitoring,space communication,and wearable equipment for health monitoring in the internet of things(IoT).Due to t...Ultraviolet(UV)visualization has extensive applications in military and civil fields such as security monitoring,space communication,and wearable equipment for health monitoring in the internet of things(IoT).Due to their remarkable optoelectronic features,perovskite materials are regarded as promising candidates for UV light detecting and imaging.Herein,we report for the first time the excitationdependent perovskite/polymer films with dynamically tunable fluorescence ranging from green to magenta by changing the UV excitation from 260 to 380 nm.And they still render dynamic multicolor UV light imaging with different polymer matrixes,halogen ratios,and cations of perovskite materials.The mechanism of its fluorescence change is related to the chloride vacancies in perovskite materials.A patterned multi-color ultraviolet visualization pad is also demonstrated for visible conversion of the UV region.This technique may provide a universal strategy for information securities,UV visualizations,and dynamic multi-color displays in the IoT.展开更多

It is important to follow up these children and evaluate whether they have elevated health risks...Children conceived via assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are nowadays a substantial proportion of the population. It is important to follow up these children and evaluate whether they have elevated health risks compared to naturally conceived (NC) children. In recent years there has been a lot of work in this field. This review will summarize what is known about the health of ART-conceived children, encompassing neonatal outcomes, birth defects, growth and gonadal developments, physical health, neurological and neurodevelopmental outcomes, psychosocial developments, risk for cancer, and epigenetic abnormalities. Most of the children conceived after ART are normal. However, there is increasing evidence that ART-conceived children are at higher risk of poor perinatal outcome, birth defects, and epigenetic disorders, and the mechanism(s) leading to these changes have not been elucidated. Continuous follow-up of children after ART is of great importance as they progress through adolescence into adulthood, and new ART techniques are constantly being introduced.展开更多
