Based on Universal Soil Loss Equation and methods of mathematics model and GIS analysis, this study classified influence of precipitation, soil, topography and vegetation upon sensitivity of soil erosion into five different degrees which are extreme sensitivity, quite sensitivity, sensitivity, less sensitivity and no sensitivity. Assessment map of each factor was generated separately. Integrated assessment map of sensitivity of soil erosion has also been drawn by overlapping function with Arcinfo. Furthermore, the study analyzed distribution characteristics and spatial difference of sensitivity of soil erosion under special plateau environment of Tibet. According to sensitivity degree, some important controlling regions was confirmed so that departments of water conservancy, traffic management and agriculture could make scientific and reasonable decisions for their respective subject planning. 展开更多

Objective To explore the specificity of acupoint effect and its fundamental laws. Methods We use evidence-based medicine method and data mining technology for ancient and modern acupuncture literature of migraine and functional dyspepsia to uncover the specificity and its laws. We apply multicenter,randomized controlled trials of acupuncture for migraine to identify the specificity from clini-cal aspects; to explain the biological base of the specificity,we analyze the PET/CT and NMR result on migraine and functional dyspepsia cases treated by acupuncture. Results The viewpoint of specificity of acupoint effect and its two fundamental laws (meridian course specificity and meridian qi convergence specificity)were found both in ancient and modern literature; compared to non-acupoints,the acupoints effect was specific on 180 migraine patients in the randomized controlled trials; the results of PET/CT scan showed that brain response to acupoint needling is more obvious than that of non-acupoint needling; NMR detected the influence on metabolic product of acupoint needling is more apparent than non-acupoint needling. Conclusions Our research confirmed that acupoint effect not only has its specificity but also has two fundamental laws:meridian course specificity and meridian qi convergence specificity,of which the biological base is supported by imaging and metabonomic studies. 展开更多

In order to better understand biatrial conduction,investigate various conduction pathways,and compare the differences between isotropic and anisotropic conductions in human atria,we present a simulation study of biatrial conduction with known/assumed conduction pathways using a recently developed human atrial model.In addition to known pathways:(1) Bachmann's bundle(BB),(2) limbus of fossa ovalis(LFO),and(3) coronary sinus(CS),we also hypothesize that there exist two fast conduction bundles that connect the crista terminalis(CT),LFO,and CS.Our simulation demonstrates that use of these fast conduction bundles results in a conduction pattern consistent with experimental data.The comparison of isotropic and anisotropoic conductions in the BB case showed that the atrial working muscles had small effect on conduction time and conduction speed,although the conductivities assigned in anisotropic conduction were two to four times higher than the isotropic conduction.In conclusion,we suggest that the hypothesized intercaval bundles play a significant role in the biatrial conduction and that myofiber orientation has larger effects on the conduction system than the atrial working muscles.This study presents readers with new insights into human atrial conduction. 展开更多
