The current standard pre...In this study, the suitability of current design methods for the 0.2% proof yield strength of the comer regions for high strength cold-formed steel at normal room temperature was investigated. The current standard predictions are generally accurate for outer comer specimen but conservative for inner comer specimen. Based on the experimental results, an analytical model to predict the comer strength of high strength cold-formed steel at normal room temperature was also proposed. The comparison indicated that the proposed model predicted well the comer strength of high strength cold-formed steel not only at normal room temperature but also at elevated temperatures. It is shown that the predictions obtained from the proposed model agree well with the test results. Generally the comer strength enhancement of high strength cold-formed steel decreases when the temperature increases.展开更多

Gone were the post-war years, and with them the autarchy, poverty and famine, characteristics of that time. After a transitory fifties decade, the country entered a prosperous time, which is known as the develompentism sixties--desarrollismo. The franscoism itself promoted this change. Meanwhile, it became a mandatory to guide the population so the fostered modem life did not imply, among other issues, an abandonment of the traditional gender order. Popular cinema played a key role in that objective. Particularly tourism narratives had direct implications on the renewed way to understand gender identities. In this article we will approach two blockbusters, as representative examples of the mainstream films productions, through which analyse how masculinity and femininity were screened and considered.展开更多
The objectives of this study are： （1） to explore current audit appointment practices by audit firms in Bahrain; （2） to look into the opinions of audit firms in Bahrain on potential effects provided by implementin...The objectives of this study are： （1） to explore current audit appointment practices by audit firms in Bahrain; （2） to look into the opinions of audit firms in Bahrain on potential effects provided by implementing mandatory audit firm rotation （audit quality）; and （3） to investigate audit firms＇ views in implementing mandatory audit firm rotation in Bahrain. To achieve these objectives, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to respondents that consist of all auditors working in audit firms in Bahrain. The findings indicated that there is a significant relationship between mandatory audit firm rotation and quality of audit. The study also indicated that longer partner tenure makes the auditor＇s performance lack the quality in the auditing process. The average mean for all questions of the hypothesis together is 2.73 with average standard deviation of 0.94 which is less than half of the mean. This means that there is no dispersion among respondents about the questions of the hypothesis. Also, the analysis shows that the t-value is 29.922, which is greater than the table critical value of t （1.66）, and the p-value obtained is 0.000 which is less than the value of significance at p 〈 0.05. These results confirm statistically that there is a significant relationship, so the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted.展开更多
CNTs with core-shell structure were successfully synthesized by a microwave-assisted polyol method,and magnetic Ni nanoparticles were employed as a catalyst. The structures,m...CNTs with core-shell structure were successfully synthesized by a microwave-assisted polyol method,and magnetic Ni nanoparticles were employed as a catalyst. The preparation method is fast and simple. The structures,morphology and magnetic properties of the as-synthesized samples were investigated using Raman spectrometer,X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscopy (TEM),vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM),respectively. The XRD results suggested that Ni particles used as a catalyst in our experiment were nano-sized. In this paper,magnetic Ni nanoparticles were employed as a catalyst,and an electric spark on metal Ni nanoparticles with the microwave eddy current effect could induce CNTs’ formation with the further reaction. The length of hollow carbon nanotubes was micro-sized and the diameters of most of the CNTs were varying from 18 to 20 nm according to the TEM images. Magnetic measurements demonstrated that CNTs with core-shell structure indicated a characteristic ferromagnetic behavior compared with Ni nanoparticles.展开更多
