由EET理论直接建立了Sm2Fe17N3晶体的价电子结构,同时计算并筛选了晶体的结合能和最强键能,分别为EC^0=14716.8±13.7kJ·mol^-1和Eα=110.1311 kJ·mol^-1。分析计算结果表明:Sm2Fe17N3晶体内共价电子数主要分布在12对由Fe... 由EET理论直接建立了Sm2Fe17N3晶体的价电子结构,同时计算并筛选了晶体的结合能和最强键能,分别为EC^0=14716.8±13.7kJ·mol^-1和Eα=110.1311 kJ·mol^-1。分析计算结果表明:Sm2Fe17N3晶体内共价电子数主要分布在12对由Fe(c1),Fe(c2)和Fe(c3)参与形成的最强键能的键上,由这3种Fe晶位原子形成的共价键键距普遍小于0.3 nm,共价键较强对晶体结合能作主要贡献;并且其结合能相比Sm2Fe17晶体的小得多,解释了Sm2Fe17合金在低温和非真空状态条件下易氧化而经过渗氮后得到的Sm2Fe17N3则表现出常温下结构稳定、化学性能好的特性;计算出N原子参与形成的成键原子对的理论键能值普遍在1 kJ·mol^-1左右,反映出Sm2Fe17N3化合物内在渗氮特性,分析了制备钐铁氮永磁材料过程中Sm2Fe17合金较低温渗氮难、渗氮不稳定和渗氮不均匀的缺陷。 展开更多

Optimizing the key parameter to accelerate the recovery of AMOC under a rapid increase of greenhouse gas forcing

Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC)plays a central role in long-term climate variations through its heat and freshwater transports,which can collapse under a rapid increase of greenhouse gas forcing in climate models.Previous studies have suggested that the deviation of model parameters is one of the major factors in inducing inaccurate AMOC simulations.In this work,with a low-resolution earth system model,the authors try to explore whether a reasonable adjustment of the key model parameter can help to re-establish the AMOC after its collapse.Through a new optimization strategy,the extra freshwater flux(FWF)parameter is determined to be the dominant one affecting the AMOC’s variability.The traditional ensemble optimal interpolation(EnOI)data assimilation and new machine learning methods are adopted to optimize the FWF parameter in an abrupt 4×CO_(2) forcing experiment to improve the adaptability of model parameters and accelerate the recovery of AMOC.The results show that,under an abrupt 4×CO_(2) forcing in millennial simulations,the AMOC will first collapse and then re-establish by the default FWF parameter slowly.However,during the parameter adjustment process,the saltier and colder sea water over the North Atlantic region are the dominant factors in usefully improving the adaptability of the FWF parameter and accelerating the recovery of AMOC,according to their physical relationship with FWF on the interdecadal timescale. 展开更多

Measure- ment of this evolved heat is helpful in terms of understanding the nature of the interactions be- tween the catalyst and the adsorbed species, and provides insights into the reactivity of the catalyst. Although various techniques have previously been applied to assessments of evolved heat, direct measurements using a Tian-Calvet microcalorimeter are currently the most reliable method for this purpose. In this review, we summarize the relationship between the adsorption/reaction energetics determined by microcalorimetry and the reactivities of supported catalysts, and examine the im- portant role of microcalorimetry in understanding catalytic performance from the energetic point of view. 展开更多

To this simplified tumor model, a nearest neighbor search method is used to determine intermediate configuration and goal configuration, which the treatment head and ultrasound focus must pass in their localization to target volume. Based on the decided configurations, the continuity condition of combined Bezier curve in Euclidean space and De Casteljau algorithm on Lie group SO(3) are integrated to construct a combined Bezier positioning path of C2 continuity at junctional configuration, and an illustration of different positioning path planning is analyzed based on a liver tumor case. 展开更多

Based on the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) criteria,105 pullout specimens were tested to investigate the effect of different rib geometries on bond strength of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars embedded in concrete. Two kinds of conventional reinforcing rebars were also studied for comparison. Each rebar was embedded in a 150 mm concrete cube,with the embedded length being four times the rebar diameter. The experimental parameters were the rebar type,rebar component,rebar diameter,rebar surface texture,rib height,rib spacing and rib width. Theoretical analysis was also carried out to explain the experimental phenomena and results. The experimental and theoretical results indicated that the bond strength of GFRP rebars was about 13%~35% lower than that of steel rebars. The bond strength and bond-slip behavior of the specially machined rebars varied with the rebar type,rebar diameter,rebar surface texture,rib height,rib spacing and rib width. Using the results,design recom-mendations were made concerning optimum rib geometries of GFRP ribbed rebars with superior bond-slip characteristics,which concluded that the optimal rib spacing of ribbed rebars is the same as the rebar diameter,and that the optimal rib height is 6% of the rebar diameter. 展开更多

As China's energy strategy moving westward, the surface movement and deformation characteristics due to high-intensive coal mining in the windy and sandy region become a research hotspot. Surface movement observation stations were established to monitor movement and deformation in one super-large working face. Based on field measurements, the surface movement and deformation characteristics were obtained, including angle parameters, subsidence prediction parameters, etc. Besides, the angle and subsidence prediction parameters in similar mining areas are summarized; the mechanism of surface movement and deformation was analyzed with the combination of key stratum theory, mining and geological conditions. The research also indicates that compared with conventional working faces, uniform subsidence area of the subsidence trough in the windy and sandy region is larger, the trough margins are relative steep and deformation values present convergence at the margins, the extent of the trough shrink towards the goaf and the influence time of mining activities lasts shorter; the overlying rock movement and breaking characteristics presents regional particularity in the study area, while the single key stratum, thin bedrock and thick sand that can rapidly propagate movement and deformation are the deep factors, contributing to it. 展开更多

The most important objective of blasting in open pit mines is rock fragmentation.Prediction of produced boulders(oversized crushed rocks) is a key parameter in designing blast patterns.In this study,the amount of boulder produced in blasting operations of Golegohar iron ore open pit mine,Iran was predicted via multiple regression method and artificial neural networks.Results of 33 blasts in the mine were collected for modeling.Input variables were:joints spacing,density and uniaxial compressive strength of the intact rock,burden,spacing,stemming,bench height to burden ratio,and specific charge.The dependent variable was ratio of boulder volume to pattern volume.Both techniques were successful in predicting the ratio.In this study,the multiple regression method was superior with coefficient of determination and root mean squared error values of 0.89 and 0.19,respectively. 展开更多

A critical assessment of the roles of water molecules and solvated ions in acid-base-catalyzed reactions at solid-water interfaces

Solid-aqueous interfaces and phenomena occurring at those interfaces are ubiquitously found in a plethora of chemical systems.When it comes to heterogeneous catalysis,however,our understanding of chemical transformations at solid-aqueous interfaces is relatively limited and primitive.This review phenomenologically describes a selection of water-engendered effects on the catalytic behavior for several prototypical acid-base-catalyzed reactions over solid catalysts,and critically assesses the general and special roles of water molecules,structural moieties derived from water,and ionic species that are dissolved in it,with an aim to extract novel concepts and principles that underpin heterogeneous acid-base catalysis in the aqueous phase.For alcohol dehydration catalyzed by solid Bronsted acids,rate inhibition by water is most typically related to the decrease in the acid strength and/or the preferential solvation of adsorbed species over the transition state as water molecules progressively solvate the acid site and form extended networks wherein protons are mobilized.Water also inhibits dehydration kinetics over most Lewis acid-base catalysts by competitive adsorption,but a few scattered reports reveal substantial rate enhancements due to the conversion of Lewis acid sites to Brønsted acid sites with higher catalytic activities upon the introduction of water.For aldol condensation on catalysts exposing Lewis acid-base pairs,the addition of water is generally observed to enhance the rate when C–C coupling is rate-limiting,but may result in rate inhibition by site-blocking when the initial unimolecular deprotonation is rate-limiting.Water can also promote aldol condensation on Brønsted acidic catalysts by facilitating inter-site communication between acid sites through hydrogen-bonding interactions.For metallozeolite-catalyzed sugar isomerization in aqueous media,the nucleation and networking of intrapore waters regulated by hydrophilic entities causes characteristic enthalpy-entropy tradeoffs as these water moieties interact with kinetically relevant hydride transfer transition states.The discussed examples collectively highlight the utmost importance of hydrogen-bonding interactions and ionization of covalently bonded surface moieties as the main factors underlying the uniqueness of water-mediated interfacial acid-base chemistries and the associated solvation effects in the aqueous phase or in the presence of water.A perspective is also provided for future research in this vibrant field. 展开更多

The depletion potential between two colloid particles immersed in a hydrogen bonding fluid has been investigated by density functional theory. The study is motivated by the wide applications of hydrogen bonding fluids in the field of colloid science, and the effects of relevant factors on the depletion potential and depletion force between colloid particles have been studied. These factors include the size ratio of the colloid particle to the fluid molecule, the bulk density of the fluid, the functionality (the number of proton acceptors a and proton donors d) and hydrogen bonding strength as well as the colloid-fluid interaction energy. By comparing the depletion potential calculated under various conditions, it is shown that the effects of these factors on the depletion potential are very significant, and in particular in regulating the depletion force and its range. 展开更多
