The coupled hybrid lattice, which is pointed to be a discrete coupled KdV system, is also found to be discrete form of a coupled mKdV systems. Delayed differential reduction system and pure difference systems are derived from the coupled hybrid system by means of the symmetry reduction approach. Cnoidal wave, positon and negaton solutions for the coupled hybrid system are proposed.展开更多

Like any other tie, the mother-daughter relationship is forged not in isolation but informed by cultural, historical, and social values, circumstances, and practices. The twentieth century has witnessed the greatest changes in world history. As an outcome of the noticeable shift in gender ideologies in the last half of that century, modern mothers and daughters struggled to experience a union, a bond, an understanding of themselves and the world around them. Clash of tradition and modernity in ideals and mores can be held accountable for the consequential neurotic development of the psyche in twentieth century mothers and daughters. Doris Lessing＇s writings reflect the way in which these complex changes in society affect family relationships. Her first novel of the Children of Violence series, Martha Quest, is an apt study of a mother and her daughter＇s struggle with their newly defined roles in society. This paper will seek to examine the conflicts that are encountered in the wake of such adjustments by contemporary mothers and daughters. In order to do so, the study will focus on an exploration of the kind of issues that Martha Quest and May Quest experience in Lessing＇s Martha Quest through approaches available in works by Carl Jung on his theory of the ＂mother complex＂.展开更多

It is shown that, when the parameter of Hofava-Lifshitz gravity ω →∞, the modified Friedmann equation will go back to the one in Einstein gravity. This results may imply that the entropic interpretation of gravity is effective for the deformed Hofava-Lifshitz gravity.展开更多

Among strong classical philologists, 1 was the only student whose understanding of metaphysics had been based on Avicenna. After a while 1 found myself amid audiences beforehand precluded to compromise milestones of mine. But on the contrary, I embarked to reread both of the Avicenna and Aristotle from entirely different angle again. Inquiring in the concept of Being in both of the Aristotle and Avicenna was the first candidate of my decision. This paper is the result of mentioned concern. Aristotle＇s equivalence between the question of ＂what substance is＂ rendered to the question of ＂what being is＂ in addition to spelling out the implications of this observation done by Avicenna--basing on his own metaphysics---constitutes the body of my paper.展开更多
