The volume is much smaller than other types of charge-induced EFSs such as field-mills. As miniaturizing, the induced signal is reduced enormously and a high sensitive circuit is needed to detect it. Elaborately designed electrodes can increase the amplitude of the output current, making the detecting circuit simplified and improving the signal-to-noise ratio. Computer simulations for different structural parameters of the EFSs and vibrating methods have been carried out by Finite Element Method (FEM). It is proved that the new structures are realizable and the output signals are detectable.展开更多

Tube-like HA structure was fabricated with the aid of a Nafion N-117 cation exchange membrane and gold(Au) nanoparticles were added by a hydrothermal method. The morphology, structure and composition were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The gas sensing properties were also investigated. Results show that Au nanoparticles are dispersed into the HA powder, which is tube-like, with rough inner and outer surfaces. Compared with pure HA, Au-modified HA exhibits improved sensing properties for NH_3. 5%(mass fraction) Au-modified HA shows the highest response with relatively short response/recovery time. The response is up to 79.2% when the corresponding sensor is exposed to 200×10^(-6) NH_3 at room temperature, and the response time and recovery time are 20 s and 25 s, respectively. For lower concentration, like 50×10^(-6), the response is still up to 70.8%. Good selectivity and repeatability are also observed. The sensing mechanism of high response and selectivity for NH_3 gas was also discussed. These results suggest that Au-HA composite is a promising material for NH_3 sensors operating at room temperature.展开更多

The crystallographic structures and morphologies of the NBs were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Electrical measurements were performed and the profound piezoresistive effect in MoO3 experimentally studied and verified. A novel acquisition scheme assisted with micro-electro-mechanical-sensor (MEMS) inertial navigation system (INS) is presented to estimate the Doppler caused by user dynamics relative to each satellite ahead of time. Based on tightly coupled GNSS/INS estimation algorithm, MEMS INS Doppler error that can be achieved is first described. Then, by analyzing the mean acquisition time and signal detection probability, the MEMS INS-assisted acquisition capabilities in cold, warm and hot starts are quantitatively determined and compared with the standard GNSS acquisition capability. The simulations and comparisons have shown that: the acquisition time in cold start can be shortened by at least 23 s, the time in warm start can be shortened to i s and the acquisition capability is improved 95%, and the reaequisition time in hot start can be shortened by around 0.090 s and the capability can be enhanced 40%. Using the electroless plating approach, the polystyrene microspheres with 15 μm and 25 μm in diameters were coated with 50 nm gold layer in thickness. The electrorotation experiments on those gold coated polystyrene microspheres (GCPMs) were carried out. The results showed that they rotated in the opposite direction of the electric field in a low frequency range (100-100 kHz), and the maximum rotation speed was higher than that of uncoated microspheres. Based on the theory of traveling wave electroosmosis(TWEO) and induced charge electroosmosis (ICEO), the electrorotation of GCPMs was quantitively analyzed and confirmed by observing the fluid flow around GCPM. The equations describing the electroration speed of GCPMs were proposed, which are consistent with the experiment results.展开更多

文摘The electrorotation of microspheres coated with conductive surface is a novel and important technology for label-free biosensors. The equations describing the electroration speed of GCPMs were proposed, which are consistent with the experiment results.

文摘In clinical practice, examination of the hemorrhagic spot (HS) remains difficult. In this paper,we describe a remote controlled capsule (RCC) micro-system with an automated,color-based sensor to identify and localize the HS of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. In vitro testing of the detecting sensor demonstrated that it was capable of discriminating mimetic intestinal fluid (MIF) with and without the hemoglobin (Hb) when the concentration of Hb in MIF was above 0.05 g/ml.Therefore,this RCC system is able to detect the relatively accurate location of the HS in the GI tract.

文摘Organic micro/nanocrystals based on small organic molecules have drawn extensive attention due to their potential application in organic field-effect transistors, electrochemical sensors, solar cells, etc.Herein, the recent advances for organic micro/nanocrystals from the perspective of molecule aggregation mode, morphology modulation, and optical property modulation are reviewed. The stacking mode and the intermolecular interaction depend on the molecular structure, which eventually determines the morphology of organic micro/nanocrystals.The morphologies of the organic micro/nanocrystals make the aggregates exhibit photon confinement or light-guiding properties as organic miniaturized optoelectronic devices. In this review,we conclude with a summary and put forward our perspective on the current challenges and the future development of morphology and optical tunable direction for the organic micro/nanocrystals.
