It is shown that the temperature dependence of the vacuum Rabi splitting is 2√2g×exp[ - ∑qλq(Nq+1/2)],where Nq=1/[exp(ωq/kBT)-1] is the phonon population, g is the single-photon Rabi frequency, and λq corresponds to exciton-phonon coupling. 展开更多

We study the entanglement of the superconducting charge qubit with the quantized electromagnetic field in a microwave cavity. It can be controlled dynamically by a classical external field threading the SQUID within the charge qubit. Utilizing the controllable quantum entanglement, we can demonstrate the dynamic process of the quantum storage of information carried by charge qubit. On the other hand, based on this engineered quantum entanglement, we can also demonstrate a progressive decoherence of charge cubit with quantum jump due to the coupling with the cavity field in quasi-classical state. 展开更多

We present analytical solutions describing quantized vacuum field in a one-dimensional cavity with one of its two mirrors fixed and another vibrating in simple harmonic form. These solutions are accurate up to the second order of the oscillating magnitude and they are uniformly valid for all time. We obtain the simple analytical expression for the energy density of the field which explicitly manifests that for a cavity vibrating at its -th eigenfrequency, traveling wave packets emerge in the finite part of the field energy density, and their amplitudes grow while their widths shrink in time, representing a large concentration of energy. The finite part of the field energy density originating from the oscillations is shown to be proportional to the factor . 展开更多

A scheme for implementing discrete quantum Fourier transform is proposed via quantum dots embedded in a microcavity, and then some of its applications are investigated, i.e., Deutsch 3ozsa. algorithm and Shor's quantum factoring. In particular, the detailed process of implementing one^qubit Deutsch Jozsa algorithm and the factorization of N = 15 are given. The microcavity mode is only virtually excited in the whole interaction, so the effective decoherent has slight effect on the current scheme. We develop a new spectroscopic method to quickly and intuitively characterize the coupling of two microwave-photon-coupled semiconductor qubits via a high-impedance resonator.Highly distinctive and unique geometric patterns are revealed as we tune the qubit tunnel couplings relative to the frequency of the mediating photons.These patterns are in excellent agreement with a simulation using the Tavis-Cummings model,and allow us to readily identify different parameter regimes for both qubits in the detuning space.This method could potentially be an important component in the overall spectroscopic toolbox for quickly characterizing certain collective properties of multiple cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED)coupled qubits. 展开更多

We extend an optimal entanglement distillation of the triplet Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger(GHZ) state via entanglement concentrating in the three-partite partially electron-spin-entangled systems. Two entanglement concentration protocols are similarly designed in detail with the post-selection in quantum-dot(QD) and micro-cavity coupled systems. The proposed protocol can be repeated several rounds to achieve an optimal success probability with an assistance of the ancillary QD, where only the single photon needs to pass through the micro-cavity for each round. It increases the total success probability of the distillation even if the implemented cavity is imperfect in practice during the whole process. 展开更多
