A collocated finite volume method on unstructured meshes is introduced to simulate the viscoelastic flow of the polymer melt with viscous dissipation past a confined cylinder.The constitutive equation for the simulations is non-isothermal FENE-P model,which is derived from the molecular theories.The temperature effect on the macroscopic fields(e.g.,velocity,stress) and microscopic fields(e.g.,molecular orientation,deformation,stretch) is investigated by comparison of isothermal and non-isothermal situations.This investigation indicates that temperature rise caused by viscous dissipation should not be neglected since it has significant effect on the macroscopic and microscopic properties of the polymer melt. 展开更多

An electrostatic micromotor is compared with a conventional electromagnetic mieromotor, and the scaling effect of driving forces is analysed according to their different operation principles. Characteristic dimension L represents the linear scale of micromotors. Electromagnetic driving force is proportional to high-order power of characteristic dimension L whereas electrostatic driving force is not. So, in micro domain, the effect of electrostatic force is larger than that of electromagnetic force, which makes electrostatic micromotor more competitive against electromagnetic alternative in MEMS. In assessing the performance of a micromotor, the power per unit volume and efficiency are the two most important criteria. Hence, the two kinds of micromotors are further compared from these two aspects. The results indicate that electrostatic a micromotor has higher power per unit volume and efficiency, moreover, its structure is simple, it can be made sufficiently small. For those advantages of electrostatic micromotors, they can be used in optical devices, aerospace equipment and medical instruments. 展开更多

The possibility of producing biogas and methane from two phases olive pomace was considered using anaerobic digestion and the microbial characteristic of digestate for the agrarian use was analyzed. In the work, the main aim was to obtain biogas, made from at least 50% methane, and a digestate that can be used in the field of agronomy, from the anaerobic digestion of the substrates. The tests were carried out by digesting different mixtures of the two-phase pomace, mulberry leaves and mud civil wastewater (pre-digested) in a batch system and in anaerobic mesophilic conditions (35 ~C). The substrates were properly homogenized in order to obtain mixtures of known and uniform composition. The initial and final STi (Total Solids) and initial SVi (Volatile Solids), the concentration of chemical oxygen demand and total phenols were measured and the process yield (m3/t SV) was quantified with standard procedure. The objectives of the study were the analysis of microbial biodiversity developed during fermentation of mixtures based products and the microbial communities corresponding to Eubacteria, Archaea and Fungiwas analyzed. The suitability of the digestate for agronomical use was evaluated by estimating pathogens bacteria that may be present and by index of inhibition of plant organisms model. 展开更多

The main targets set for economic growth in the World Bank's 1990 report is to provide a permanent and sustainable poverty eradication strategies on the development. Used for this purpose today, the most effective strategy comes at the beginning of micro-credit system. Microcredit, in particular in the area of the individuals, and its opportunities to increase the credit to the users of the production process and ensure active participation in the society starting from the women's economic initiatives, but it cannot be considered as a micro-economic factors in the economy to facilitate an effective financial mechanism. Many studies in the literature have revealed that women's contribution to family income of households in poverty has created an important support. In addition, micro-credit system encourages women to create their own jobs, as the GNP (Gross National Product) of the countries contribution to increase employment opportunities. There are opinions arguing that, making use of the contact with communities in the potential female workforce satisfactory for women to create job opportunities to gain income is able to provide initial capital to the existing banking system, because in many countries' negative socio-cultural conditions, competing with men is much difficult. Micro-credit system, in the respect of changing countries socio-cultural and socio-economic structures is an important contribution. Microfinance occurred in recent years by rapid developments in Turkey since 2000, progress has been very professional. Our work in the field of micro-finance started operations in 2002, the Evaluation of Women's Work Association of Business Economics and the Grameen Bank realized Maya model adapted for Waste Prevention Foundation of Turkey should apply micro-finance. Micro-finance practices in the world and Turkey also compared practices. Turkey's application of micro-finance in banks' credit policies that support marketing activities related to marketing and sales strategies was examined by size. Also, emerging areas in Turkey, especially in the south-east region, the application of micro-finance loans contributed to the development of this geographical area were assessed. Studies of marketing and financial aspects of micro-finance were examined, the economic dimension of these practices by the country's social, cultural, political development has also been found to contribute significantly. 展开更多

Understanding microbial growth is essential to any research conducted in the fields of microbiology and biotechnology. Current methods of determining growth characteristics of microbes involve subjective graphical interpretations of linearized logarithmic data. Reducing error in logistical data decreases disparity between graphical and analytical predictions of microbial characteristics. In this study, a method has been developed to calculate the kinetics of microbial characteristics utilizing a modified Maclaurin series. Convergence of this series approaches the true kinetic value of microbial characteristics to include specific growth rates. In this research, a modified Maclaurin series is used to evaluate microbial kinetics in comparison to graphical determinations. 展开更多
