Causation mechanism of coal miners' human errors in the perspective of life events

In order to effectively decrease the safety accidents caused by coal miners’human errors,this paper probes into the causality between human errors and life events,coping,psychological stress,psychological function,physiological function based on life events’vital influence on human errors,establishing causation mechanism model of coal miners’human errors in the perspective of life events by the researching method of structural equation.The research findings show that life events have significantly positive influence on human errors,with a influential effect value of 0.7945 and a influential effect path of‘‘life events—psychological stress—psychological function—physiological function—human errors’’and‘‘life events—psychological stress—physiological function—human errors’’.

Evaluation and comparison of 50 Hz current threshold of electrocutaneous sensations using different methods

Leakage currents, tiny currents flowing from an everyday-life appliance through the body to the ground, can cause a non-adequate perception （called electrocutaneous sensation, ECS） or even pain and should be avoided. Safety standards for low-frequency range are based on experimental results of current thresholds of electrocutaneous sensations, which however show a wide range between about 50 pA （rms） and 1000 μA （rms）. In order to be able to explain these differences, the perception threshold was measured repeatedly in experiments with test persons under identical experimental setup, but by means of different methods （measuring strategies）, namely： direct adjustment, classical threshold as amperage of 50% perception probability, and confidence rating procedure of signal detection theory. The current is injected using a I cm2 electrode at the highly touch sensitive part of the index fingertip. These investigations show for the first time that the threshold of electrocutaneous sensations is influenced both by adaptation to the non-adequate stimulus and individual, emotional factors. Theretbre, classical methods, on which the majority of the safety investigations are based, cannot be used to determine a leakage current threshold. The confidence rating procedure of the modem signal detection theory yields a value of 179.5 μA （rms） at 50 Hz power supply net frequency as the lower end of the 95% confidence range considering the variance in the investigated group. This value is expected to be free of adaptation influences, and is distinctly lower than the European limits and supports the stricter regulations of Canada and USA.

Impact of Deficient Nutrition on Health Condition of Persons with Dementia

Dementia is a loss of mental ability （ability to think, remember and make logical conclusions） which, in principle affects normal everyday life of a person. Dementia is not a disease but a group of symptoms that may cause different diseases. Symptoms include change of behaviour, character and unexpected changes in the mood. Poor quality of nutrition affects significantly the intensity of dementia. Balanced diet that meets healthy safety standards and requirements will satisfy the needs of an organism for vitamins and minerals and special attention should be given to intake of folic acid, vitamin B12 and minerals zinc and selenium. Intake of omega3 fatty acids is a source of fuel for blood vessels, particularly for the ones of the nervous tissues.

Comparative Study on Egyptian Nuclear Research Centers

This paper aims to study the architectural design and planning of the Egyptian nuclear research centers. Three Egyptian nuclear research centers and the proposed nuclear research center have been studied. These centers are the Nuclear Research Center in Inshas, the Hot laboratories and Waste Management Center in Inshas, the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology in Nasr City and the proposed Nuclear Research Center in North Western Coast of Egypt. Also, the paper aims to study the functions of these centers, as well as the types of their existing facilities. The paper investigates the principles and standards used in design and planning of these nuclear research centers. A comparative study has been conducted to those four nuclear research centers to evaluate the centers according to the site characteristics and the basic safety factors. The results were compared to determine the best design and planning. The proposed Nuclear Research Center in North Western Coast of Egypt proved to be the best among all with regard to design and planning, taking into consideration the radiation safety requirements. The architects are recommended to design and plan the nuclear research centers, taking into consideration the radial planning concept because it is the best with regard to radiation safety requirements.

Sleep No More： Nightmares in Emerging Nazi Germany

Charlotte Beradt collected hundreds of dreams she gathered in Germany between 1933 and 1939, hid them, and then sent them abroad. According to her The Third Reich of Dreams, people living under the totalitarian government of Nazi Germany had fears of listening devices picking up their own thoughts even when they were asleep, of having no walls, and of being condemned for talking in their sleep. The dreams reveal fears, insecurities, confusion, guilt, and lack of trust. Dream research has often been impaired because researchers were examining dreams during REM ~Rapid Eye Movement） sleep, while many nightmares occur during non-REM sleep. The Beradt＇s study showed the advantage of retrospective accounts. Dreams of other trauma victims include the discovery of dead bodies and being killed oneself and often replicas of actual events. Such nightmares preclude the restorative function of sleep. Psychotherapy, however, using dreams from traumas when conducted in a safe environment, can be helpful and relieve patients from suffering.

Research on the Management Mechanism of Teachers in Public Security Colleges and Universities Based on Psychological Contract

In today＇s management of the teaching staff of public security colleges and universities, the research on the Psychological Contract problem is not only beneficial to the management and estimation of the teachers, but also has an important role in the coordination and stability of the whole system of public security colleges and universities. Based on the theory of Psychological Contract, this paper expounds the basic understanding and research value of Psychological Contract, and puts forward the measures to cultivate teachers＇ good character and understanding, and as well as coordinate teachers＇ needs, effectively change teachers＇ attitude and actively promote the establishment of good interpersonal relationship to explain the research on the Management Mechanism of Teachers in Public Security Colleges and Universities from the Perspective of Psychological Contract.

The Relationship Between Psychosocial Working Conditions and Perceived Safety Climate for Engine Room Officers in the Swedish Merchant Fleet

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between psychosocial working conditions and perceived safety climate onboard the Swedish merchant fleet. Data was collected by a cross-sectional survey. The sample consisted of 640 Swedish employed engine room officers. A strong relationship was found between the psychosocial working conditions and perceived safety climate onboard （RZ = .204; P 〈 .001）. While role conflict and role ambiguity showed a negative association, social support associated positively with safety climate onboard, lob demands and control showed no relation to safety climate. The conclusion is that the safety climate onboard is strongly associated with social and relational factors.

Psychotherapy with American Indians

American Indians are a substantial minority in both the United States and Canada and present with a disproportionate share of mental health and behavioral health problems. While a large proportion of the native population resides on reservations that are self-managed and have few non-Indian residents, professional health services are mostly provided by clinicians from the dominant culture. The essay tries to highlight specific historical, sociological, and cultural variables the clinician must be aware of to work effectively in this setting. Particular emphasis is placed on using a flexible, eclectic approach, and a case vignette is included to illustrate the principle.

CRSG:A congestion control routing algorithm for security defense based on social psychology and game theory in DTN

The inherent selfishness of each node for the enhancement of message successful delivery ratio and the network overall performance improvement are reflected in the contradiction relationship of competition and cooperation in delay/disruption tolerant networks (DTN). In particular, the existence of malicious node aggravates this contradiction. To resolve this contradiction, social relationship theory and group theory of social psychology were adopted to do an in-depth analysis. The concrete balancing approach which leveraged Nash equilibrium theory of game theory was proposed to resolve this contradiction in reality. Thus, a new congestion control routing algorithm for security defense based on social psychology and game theory (CRSG) was put forward. Through the experiment, this algorithm proves that it can enhance the message successful delivery ratio by more than 15% and reduce the congestion ratio over 15% as well. This algorithm balances the contradiction relationship between the two key performance targets and made all nodes exhibit strong cooperation relationship in DTN.
