The exception propagation graph (EPG) that describes the large programs with exception handling constructs is proposed by simplifying the control flow graph and it is applied to a case to verify its validity. According to the EPG, the exception handling code that never executes is identified; the points that are the most critical to controlling exception propagation are found; and the irrational exception handling code is corrected. The constructing algorithm for the EPG is given; thus, this provides a basis for automatically constructing the EPG and automatically correcting the irrational exception handling code.展开更多

When the relationship between influential input variables and output res...Response surface methodology (RSM) is an important tool for process parameter optimization, robust design and other quality improvement efforts. When the relationship between influential input variables and output response is very complex, it’s hard to find the real response surface using RSM. In recent years artificial neural network(ANN) has been used in RSM. But the classical ANN does not work well under the constraints of real applications. An algorithm of regression-based ANN(R-ANN) is proposed in this paper, which is a supplement to the classical ANN methodology. It makes network closer to the response surface, so that training time is reduced and robustness is strengthened. The procedure of improving ANN by regressions is described and the comparisons among R-ANN,RSM and classical ANN are computed graphically in three examples. Our research shows that the R-ANN methodology is a good supplement to the RSM and classical ANN methodology, which can yield lower standard error of prediction under conditions that the scope of experiment is rigidly restricted.展开更多

Compared with the conventional state-feedback controller, the proposed controller can achieve better robust control performance since the delayed state is utilized as additional feedback information and the parameters of the proposed controllers are changed synchronously with the dynamical characteristic of the system. This design method was also extended to the case where only delayed state is available for the controller. The example of balancing an inverted pendulum on a cart demonstrates the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed design methods.展开更多
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of combined skin acupuncture and external washing therapy of Zhuang nationality medicine in the treatment of chronic eczema.Methods:One hundred and twenty patients with chronic eczema...To evaluate the clinical efficacy of combined skin acupuncture and external washing therapy of Zhuang nationality medicine in the treatment of chronic eczema.Methods:One hundred and twenty patients with chronic eczema were randomly divided into an experimental group(60 cases)and a control group(60 cases).The experimental group was treated with skin acupuncture combined with external washing therapy,and the control group was treated with externally applied mometasone furoate cream.The patients’symptoms and total severity were scored and analyzed before and after the 4-week treatment.The symptoms scored included:erythema,papule/hard swelling,epidermal exfoliation,mossy lesion,exudation/scab,and pruritus.Clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared before and after the 4-week treatment.Results:Scores for the different kinds of skin derogation,pruritus symptoms,the eczema area,and severity index(EASI)were all reduced after the treatments.Pruritus symptoms and EASI scores in the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the experimental group was 81.03%,which was much higher than the 61.11%in the control group(Z=-2.391,P=0.017).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of combined skin acupuncture and external washing therapy of Zhuang nationality medicine in the treatment of chronic eczema was better than that of mometasone furoate cream.展开更多

A technique for variable parameterization is introduced to the multi-objective control problem to preserve the linearity of the synthesis variables. In this study, we constructed two artificial selectable markers (chloramphenicol and spectinomycin resistance) for gene transfer in F. columnare. These two new artificial selectable markers, which were created by placing the chloramphenicol or spectinomycin resistance gene under the control of the native acs regulatory region of F. columnare, were functional in both F. columnare and Escherichia coli. The integrative/conjugative plasmids constructed by using these markers were introduced into F. columnare G4 via electroporation or conjugation. The integrated plasmid DNA was confirmed by Southern blotting and PCR analysis. These two markers can be employed in future investigations into gene deletion and the pathogenicity of virulence factors in F. columnare.展开更多

Objective:The aim of our study was to investigate the distribution of glutathione-S-transferase M1 (GSTM1) and T1 (GSTT1) gene polymorphism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients...Objective:The aim of our study was to investigate the distribution of glutathione-S-transferase M1 (GSTM1) and T1 (GSTT1) gene polymorphism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients in a high risk area in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,China.Methods:It was a case-control study.The genotypes of GSTM1 and GSTT1 in 181 HCC and 126 NPC patients were compared with 641 matched control.The GSTM1 and GSTT1 genotypes were detected using conventional multiplex PCR method.Results:The frequency of GSTM1 null genotype in HCC,NPC and control groups were 65.2%,61.9% and 47.6% respectively,significant difference between these two cancer groups and control was observed (P < 0.01).The frequency of GSTT1 null genotype in HCC,NPC and control groups were 57.5%,62.7% and 43.1% respectively,significant difference between these two cancer groups and control was observed (P < 0.01).Conclusion:The distributions of GSTM1 and T1 genes are polymorphic in HCC and NPC patients in a high risk area in Guangxi,individuals with GSTM1-null or GSTT1-null would have an increasing risk of developing HCC and NPC,especially when combination with virus infection (HBV or EBV) and absorbed chemical toxin (AFB1 or cigarette).展开更多
AIM: To study the polymorphisms of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) gene Asp299Gly, Thr399Ile and TLR2 gene Arg753Gln, Arg677Trp and susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the Zhuang population from Guangxi,...AIM: To study the polymorphisms of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) gene Asp299Gly, Thr399Ile and TLR2 gene Arg753Gln, Arg677Trp and susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the Zhuang population from Guangxi, China. METHODS: A case-control study was performed from February 2007 to October 2011 which included 146 Zhuang patients with IBD in the experimental group and 164 healthy Zhuang subjects who acted as the control group. All patients and healthy subjects were from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Genomic DNA was extracted from intestinal tissue by the phenol chloroform method. TLR4 gene Asp299Gly, Thr399Ile and TLR2 gene Arg753Gln, Arg677Trp were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and then detected by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). RESULTS: The TLR4 gene Asp299Gly was digested using Nco Ⅰ restriction enzyme, and a single band of 249 bp was observed which showed that it was a wild type (AA). The TLR4 gene Thr399Ile was digested using Hinf Ⅰrestriction enzyme and only the wild type (CC) was detected. In addition, the TLR2 gene Arg-677Trp was digested using Aci Ⅰ restriction enzyme and only the wild type (CC) was detected. The TLR2 gene Arg753Gln was digested using Pst Ⅰ restriction enzyme. Only the wild type (GG) as a single band of 254 bp was observed during RFLP. Overall, no heterozygous or homozygous single nucleotide polymorphism mutations were found in patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis both in the TLR4 gene Asp299Gly, Thr399Ile and the TLR2 gene Arg677Trp, Arg753Gln in the Zhuang population from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. CONCLUSION: The TLR4 gene Asp299Gly, Thr399Ile and TLR2 gene Arg753Gln, Arg677Trp polymorphisms may not be associated with IBD in the Zhuang population from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.展开更多
