The results show that the mechanical properties of the rolled plate are inhomogeneous along the thickness direction. From the surface to the center, the strength shows an inverted "N" shape change and the elongation presents a semi "U" shape change. Several similar structural units composed of long fibrous grains(LFG) and short fibrous grains bands(SFGB) exist in a special layer(Layer 2) adjacent to the surface. This alternating layered distribution of LFG and SFGB is conducive to improving the plasticity by dispersing the plastic deformation concentrated on the boundary line(BL) between them. However, their different deformability will cause the alternation of additional stresses during the hot rolling, leading to the strength reduction. The closer the location to the center of the plate is, the more likely the recovery rather than the recrystallization occurs. This is the possible reason for the unnegligible difference in strength near the central region(Layer 4 and Layer 5).展开更多

The purpose of this study is to evaluate accuracies of SeaWinds-derived Weibull mean wind speed and energy density by considering uncertainties inherent in SeaWinds wind speed estimates. In this study, 1159 SeaWinds-derived wind speeds covering the KEO buoy are used for estimating two Weibull parameters, scale and shape. On the other hand, observed wind speeds from 2004 to 2008 at the KEO buoy are used for simulating three kinds of wind speeds in order to quantify some uncertainties inherent in SeaWinds-derived wind speeds. It is found that uncertainties associated with wind speed estimates (operational wind speed range, sampling time) show small differences in scale, shape and Weibull mean wind speed except energy density among the simulated datasets. Furthermore, the upper and lower bounds of 90% confidence interval corresponding to SeaWinds number of observations indicate 4-2.5% error of Weibull mean wind speed and 4-6.8% error of energy density, respectively.展开更多

The beam nonuniformity is an important parameter of the low-energy electron beam with large cross-sections. A simple and accurate measurement system of nonuniformity for the low-energy electron beam with large cross-sections was developed. The main concept consists in the measurement of nonuniformity, which is realized by using a linear actuator to drive two scanning wires through the beam's cross-sections at a fixed speed. The beam distribution can be obtained by sending/collecting the current signals to/from the Data Acquisition (DAQ) software on a laptop by a USB DAQ card. This device is very convenient for the performance testing of a new accelerator at the manufacturer's site. The distribution of the homemade low voltage electron accelerator EBS-300-50 was measured and evaluated.展开更多

In it, a new energy function is defined with a local intensity fitting term in intensity inhomogeneity of the image, and with a global intensity fitting term in intensity homogeneity domain. Weighting factor is chosen to balance these two intensity fitting terms, which can be calculated automatically by local entropy. The level set regularization term is to replace contour curve to find the minimum of the energy function. Particularly, structure tensor is applied to describe the image, which overcomes the disadvantage of image feature without structure information. The experimental results show that our proposed method can segment image efficiently whether it presents intensity inhomogeneity or not and wherever the initial contour is. Moreover, compared with the Chan-Vese model and local binary fitting model, our proposed model not only handles better intensity inhomogeneity, but also is less sensitive to the location of initial contour.展开更多
