All possible cubes are searched, and the cube with the maximum volume is selected. The calculation examples show that the method of growth can be used for a variety of industrial robots. The method of growth can determine the test cube and test points of irregular working space according to ISO 9283, and can avoid blindness and randomness in the selection of test points.展开更多
The research goal is to develop a new solar water heater system(SWHS) that uses a solar bubble pump instead of an electric pump.The pump is powered by the steam produced from an evacuated tube collector.Therefore,heat...The research goal is to develop a new solar water heater system(SWHS) that uses a solar bubble pump instead of an electric pump.The pump is powered by the steam produced from an evacuated tube collector.Therefore,heat could be transferred downward from the collector to a hot water storage tank.The designed system consists of two sets of heat-pipe evacuated tube collectors,a solar bubble pump installed at an upper level and a water storage tank with a heat exchanger at a lower level.Discharge heads of 1 and 5 m were tested.The bubble pump could operate at the collector temperature of about 90-100 ℃ and vapor gage pressure of 80-90 kPa.It is found that water circulation within the SWHS depends on the incident solar intensity and system discharge head.Experimental investigations are conducted to obtain the system thermal efficiencies from the hourly,daily and long-term performance tests.The thermal performance of the proposed system is compared with conventional solar water heaters.The results show that the proposed system achieves system characteristic efficiency of 10% higher than that of the conventional systems using electric pump if taking the consumption of electric power into account.And the former is a zero carbon system.展开更多

The cur rent Chinese national standard of airborne particle counter calibration, GB6167 -85, Methods for Testing the Performance of Dust Particle Counter, has kept the same for more than 10 years. It is necessary to be amended in time. This paper discusses the differences between Chinese airborne particle counter calibration procedure and other new calibration procedures in other countries, and points ou t the defects of current Chinese national standard.The draft of revised Chinese National Standard is also introduced. The new revised standard, Methods for Test ing the Performance of Airborne Particle Counter, covers two level calibrations: primary and secondary. Primary calibration procedure includes testing 6 kinds of performances:sample airflow rate, false counting, particle size accuracy and re solution, particle counting stability, counting efficiency and particle concentr ation limit. Secondary calibration is a relative comparing test method to verify the counting accuracy of calibrated airborne particle counters.Finally, how to keep the calibration traceability is suggested.展开更多

In the proposed scheme, when Mobile Nodes (MNs) inside the mobile network needs to understand the condition of multiple comrmunicatinn paths outside the mobile netwtrk, they can get IP performance metrics, such as delay, jitter, bandwidth, packet loss, etc., irrespective of the preserre or absence of measurement functionality. At the same time, the proposed scheme dees not require the MN to he involved in measuring IP performance metrice. The Multihomed Mobile Router (MMR) with heterogeneons wireless interfaces measures IP performance metrics on behalf of the MNs inside the mobile network. Then, MNs can get measured IP perfonmnce metries from the MMR using L3 messages. The proposed scheme can reduce burden and power consumption of MNs with limited resource and batty power since MNs don' t measure IP performance metrics directly. In addition, it can reduce considerably traffic overhead over wireless links on multiple measurement paths since signaling messages and injeeted testing traffic are reduced.展开更多

At first, to simulate ambient condition was designed thermostatic chamber where was monitoring temperature course on main parts of cooling device (energy converter, air cooler and heat pipes) at various position of cooling device. It was found, if the cooling device is in tilt position the cooling performance is better. But if the tilt angel of gravity assisted heat pipe is higher the heat transfer is lower. From reason improve heat transfer cooling device at tilt angle are manufactured heat pipes with the sintered, mesh screen and grooved capillary structures and tested their thermal performance at vertical and tilt angel 45~ position by calorimetric method. Article describes manufacturing process and thermal performance measuring method of wick heat pipes. This experiment testify that the wick heat pipe is able operate at tilt angle position than gravity assisted heat pipe and application of wick heat pipes into cooling device will improve his cooling performance.展开更多

Therefore the aim of this study is to improve the efficiency fuel of diesel engine using fuel filter. The method used for the research is testing the most efficient fuel filters made of coil wire coil winding 5,000, the three distinguished from the coil core diameter of 44.5, 28.5 and 17.5 mm in diesel engine. The performance test was conducted from 1,100 rpm to 1,700 rpm, the throttle opening of 30%-60%. The first testing was done by creating a constant speed 1,500 rpm and throttle opening varies from 30% to 60%, further testing is done by varying the rpm start from 1,100 rpm to 1,700 rpm to make constant valve 40% and 60%.展开更多

Performance of PP-ternary ...Continuous usage of bioreactor causes early degradation of most bioreactor liner materials due to the effects of various chemicals, consequently resulting in contamination in the bioprocess. Performance of PP-ternary nanocomposite (PPTN) for its potential application in the fabrication of bioreactor liner material was investigated in this study. The chemical resistance of the composite samples obtained was tested by exposing them to chemicals such as acid, alkaline, water and bacterial solutions, according to ASTM 543-06, and their effects on the composite samples were carefully observed. Specifically, the investigation focused on the changes in the physico-mechanical properties of PPTN following long term of exposure to these chemicals. The results show slight increase in the weight and dimensions of samples in the first few days, followed by constant reading for the period of 4 weeks. The performance in terms of physical properties was in the range of PPTN with 0.61% MWCNT > PPTN 0.45% > PPTN 0.17%. The maximum percentage change in tensile properties, observed in this study, was approximately 10% against PPTN (0.17%), which indicates stable mechanical properties of the composite and invariably suggests that the nanocomposites could serve as a better alternative for bioreactor liner fabrication.展开更多

The mechanical performance of the FSM is tested. The results show that the tilting range of the mirror is about 4 mrad, and the 1st-order resonance frequency is about 250 Hz. A self-designed grating encoder is taken as the sensor, which ensures the optimal precision of 10 μrad. Performance improvement of existing 200 litres capacity natural convection type domestic solar hot water system is attempted.A two-stage centrifugal pump driven by a vertical axis windmill having Savonius type rotor i...Performance improvement of existing 200 litres capacity natural convection type domestic solar hot water system is attempted.A two-stage centrifugal pump driven by a vertical axis windmill having Savonius type rotor is added to the fluid loop.The windmill driven pump circulates the water through the collector.The system with necessary instrumentation is tested over a day.Tests on Natural Circulation System(NCS)mode and Wind Assisted System(WAS)mode are carried out during January,April,July and October,2009.Test results of a clear day are reported.Daily average efficiency of 25-28% during NCS mode and 33-37% during WAS mode are obtained.With higher wind velocities,higher collector flow rates and hence higher efficiencies are obtained.In general,WAS mode provides improvements in efficiency when compared to NCS mode.展开更多
