The air sampling was conducted in press department, including two different types of screen printing machines: semi-automatic and automatic. Air samples were collected and analyzed in situ for 4 times, once per 2 hours, during working time of 8 hours. Analysis of the experimental data showed that ambient ozone concentrations slowly increases with the increasing of TVOCs concentration and intensive use of UV lamps during automatic screen printing process. Therefore, the detected concentration levels of ozone and VOCs were compared with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Serbian Regulation. Comparison of the two mentioned standard regulations, the ozone concentrations in indoor printing air were from 0.83 to 8.1 and 2.4 to 16.2 times higher in the relation to the prescribed PEL and maximum allowed concentration (MAC) values, respectively, while the concentrations of particular VOCs were much below the PEL prescribed by the OSHA.展开更多

A user defined function based on CFD (computational fluid dynamics) was developed, which integrated human motion model with TVOCs emission model in a high sidewall air supply ventilation mode. Based on simulation results of 10 cases, it is shown that the spatial concentration distribution of TVOCs is affected by human motion. TVOCs diffusion characteristic of building material is the most effective way to impact the TVOCs inhalation dose. From the RIDL index, case A-2 has the most serious IAQ problem, while case D-1 is of the best IAQ.展开更多

The most frequently cause of discomfort in smart buildings is overrun of intelligence. There are physical and psychological factors that influenced building users' comfort. An indoor air quality seems to be one of the main problems of smart office buildings. In Slovakia the office buildings relating to indoor environment European standard are mostly evaluated as the non-low polluting buildings. The pollution from building as well as the pollution from occupancy and using was respected. The odor intensity and indoor air acceptability were assessed by a sensory panel. The concentrations of total volatile organic compounds and carbon dioxide were measured. The odors from building materials studied under different air change rate are presented in this paper. The case study of indoor air acceptability concerning to indoor odors under occupancy and its affect on perceived air quality influenced by air change rate are also presented in this paper.展开更多

An appropriate TVOC emission period for car mat is suggested. The emission factors for to- tal volatile organic compounds from three kinds of new car mats are discussed. The car mats are preprocessed by washing, baking and ventilation. When car mats are preprocessed by washing, the TVOC emission for all samples tested are lower than that preprocessed in other methods. The TVOC emission is in stable situation for a mini- mum of 4 days. The TVOC emitted from some samples may exceed 25001ag/kg. But the TVOC emitted from washed Polyamide (PA) and wool mat is less than 25001ag/kg. The emission factors of total volatile organic com- pounds (TVOC) are experimentally investigated in the case of different preprocessing methods. The air tempera- ture in environment chamber and the water temperature for washing are important factors influencing on emission of car mats.展开更多
