The results show that archaeoacoustics is an interesting new method for reanalyzing ancient sites, and it uses different study parameters to re-discover forgotten technology which operates on the human emotional sphere. The effect on the psyche of ancient people through the acoustic proprieties suggests that the builders of these sites had knowledge of this process and probably used it to enhance their rituals.展开更多

Archetypes are the images or patterns recurring again and again in literature through the ages. It also focuses on the minute difference between archetype and archetypal image as discussed by Jung with special reference to the characters and other images in the play beating relevance with the universal archetypes. This article also highlights the play as a connective link in the series of the different pieces of literature via the unique use of the psychic remnants. It emphasises on the different use of those remnants interwoven in the mosaic of the characters and plot of the play.展开更多

It discusses the case study method and its role and focusing on research questions like healthcare branding, research design, and methodic. Also presents the case study research theory for a research case study. The methods used in this paper are based on hypothesis of a generic hospital branding strategy for the Romanian Private Hospital and also may apply to the Romanian strategy of development of public healthcare entities and partnerships between public and private healthcare entities. An empirical test of the relationships among branding loyalty and awareness, customer satisfaction, trust and relationship commitment suggests that Romanian hospitals can be successful in creating an image and positive brand equity if they can manage their customer relationships well. This can be done through a coordinated strategy of management and marketing development of healthcare entities. The results highlight the dominance of case-study research in qualitative marketing healthcare and highlight the importance of customer relationships in the branding practice of healthcare marketing. It also shows that marketing managers can succeed in creating positive brand equity and image if they can manage relationships with their customers well.展开更多

First, it offers an overview of the national photographic research in the post-Second World War, underlining a significant evolution compared with the past and the complexity of the directions undertaken. Then, in the outlined context, it studies the work of the two photographers and their approach to a socially active photography, dwelling mainly on the relationships interwoven with the ruling publishing system. It also underlines the elements characterizing the nature of their reportages and the distance from an idea of image exploitation, derived from an always increasing interference of the political control over the images destined to mass communication. Both Dondero and Bavagnoli avoid any tendency to spectacularization and to the representative models typical of the common neorealist orientation, proposing an information founded on the effectiveness of narration, on the concreteness and immediacy of evidence; the first collaborations with the most progressive magazines testify the peculiarity of a method that both will coherently develop in the experiences matured outside the Italian context.展开更多

This passage will inquire into the cause of her tragedy from a critical point of view of feminism. In this passage, we can know the Tess takes shape from a social developing procession, man-made morality and the male writer. Then this article concludes that the consciousness of the females are given by the society in which they lived and the liberation of the females must be based on the awakening of self-consciousness and the change of moral sense of mortality in society.展开更多

However, the role of this profession in investigating their ethical decision-making behaviors towards internal whistle-blowing intentions has been very often neglected. Furthermore, although extensive researches have been undertaken on the issue of whistle blowing globally, empirical studies on this area are still scarce in Malaysia. This paper examines internal whistle-blowing intentions among internal auditors in Malaysia by utilizing three independent vignettes. A mail survey was conducted to investigate demographic and individual factors that could influence internal auditors' ethical decision-making processes. The likelihood for internal whistle-blowing intentions was significant among internal auditors' ethical judgments for all the three vignettes. Demographic factors (gender, age, and tenure) and other individual factors (locus of control and organizational commitment) failed to explain the likelihood of internal auditors' internal whistle-blowing intentions. Findings should aid researchers in their understandings of the determinants of individuals' internal whistle-blowing behaviors.展开更多

This study proposed to assess forage productivities to allow an appropriate mowing period determination in their use as dairy female feed in Madagascar. A test on small plots has been set up in the southern part of the capital city Antananarivo during one dry period (4 months). Live observations followed by laboratory proximate analyses have been performed for forage productivity and feeding value determination. Cultivated on tanety (hill), irrigated in counter season, results show that: (I) oat higher height (H = 96.7 cm) than Italian ray grass (H= 69.4 cm) at 99 days of age; (2) similar biomass productivity; (3) dry matter yields significantly different (p = 0.05); (4) certain similarity between dry matter yields and FMU (fodder milk unit) score evolution; (5) leafy stage of Italian ray grasses at 99 days of age; (6) mid-flowering stage for oats during the same period. Cell wall content, crude fiber and dry matter contents increased with age (p = 0.05). Crude proteins and minerals evolved in opposite directions. Gross energy content did not present precise variation with age. This study allowed that for an acceptable quantitative and qualitative production during dry seasons, good mowing period for Italian ray grass could start at 76 days age, while oat could start being harvested at 68 days.展开更多

In this paper, I argue that Herbert Simon's notion of "satisficing" provides a formally well-developed and empirically well-established theory of rationality that fits well with Kuhn's general characterization of science. I start by considering two rival interpretations of the problem of Kuhnian rationality and introduce Simon's notion of satisficing. In Section 3, I show how satisficing can be used to interpret paradigm, change, rational theory-choice, relativism, and progress. On this account, Kuhnian scientists are not irrational. Rather they employ the same computational mechanism which allows humans to play chess.展开更多

In the twentieth century, modern Chinese literature generally adopted four paradigms in pursuit of this objective: the socio-political paradigm that viewed traditional literature in terms of "quintessence-dross" under the guidance of the Marxist doctrine of the critical inheritance of cultural heritage; the "spiritual awakening" paradigm that, being inspired by Western schools of thought such as hermeneutics, viewed traditional literature as "the source of new literature"; the scientific-aesthetic paradigm that viewed traditional literature as combining scientific interpretation and modern aesthetics and focused on interpretation, transformation, innovation and creation from within; and the folk paradigm that viewed literary tradition as a narrative of daily life demonstrating the way in which ancient and modern literature were connected in a cultural whole. What is important in the complementary and competitive development of these coexisting paradigms is highlighting "problem consciousness" in "interaction" and "original creation" and the reconstruction of the value of real human life through entering into and reactivating the resources of ancient literature.展开更多

It was Hegel who first showed a possible way to social actuality in philosophical terms via sharp critiques of subjective consciousness and its external reflection. Marx critically inherited this legacy from Hegel. His critiques not only undermined the speculative, idealist alliance of Idea and Actuality, but also thoroughly reconstructed the essential dimension of social actuality. A Kantian interpretation of Marxist philosophy on this theme presupposes a dismissal of the dimension of social actuality, which means a return to the philosophy of subjective consciousness. The latter in turn means the actual collapse of historical materialism. The path to social actuality is vital to historical materialism. It is only through this path that the truth of the theory of historical materialism can be upheld.展开更多
