O^6--BG and its derivatives, HMBG, MOBG, MOMBG, BABP and PEG, were synthesized from guanine respectively. The AGT inhibitory ability of the compounds were tested by evaluating their effects on increasing sensitivity of HeLa cancer cells to 1,3-bis (2-chloroethyl)-l-nitrosourea (BCNU) with MTT method. Their order of AGT inhibitory activities follows HMBG ≥ O^6-BG ≥ MOBG ≥ MOMBG, whereas the BABP and PEG showed no AGT inhibition activity. Different from...In this paper, we focus on energy-efficient transceiver and relay beamforming design for multi-pair two-way relay system. The multi-antenna users and the multi-antenna relay are considered in this work. Different from the existing works, the proposed algorithm is energy-efficient which is more applicable to the future green network. It considers both the sum-MSE problem and the power consumption problem for the users under the relay power constraint. Based on the optimal condition decomposition(OCD) method, the energy-efficient precoders at the users can be designed separately with limited information exchanged. The proposed relay beamforming algorithm is based on the alternative direction method of multipliers(ADMM) which has simpler iterative solution and enjoys good convergence. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithms in terms of power consumption and MSE performance.展开更多

According to the characteristi...It is an effective way in realizing urban coordinated and sustainable development to establish a series of in- dicators and to evaluate urban environmental and socioeconomic development. According to the characteristics of Harbin City in Northeast China, an indicator system including five subsystems and 37 indicators was established for comprehensive evaluation on urban sustainable development. The development indexes of all urban subsystems and complex system were calculated quantitatively using the comprehensively integrated methods composed of Principle Component Analysis, Analytic Hierarchy Process and weighed index method, and then the comprehensive level of ur- ban sustainable development and the degree of urban interior coordination were analyzed. The results indicated that 1) the overall urban development presented an uptrend, however, the interior development was not well balanced from 1996 to 2006; 2) the development in each subsystem presented a strong fluctuation; and 3) the development in re- sources subsystem showed a downtrend. Based on those results, the suggestions of urban sustainable development were put forward at the end.展开更多

The shortcomings of transhipment-method and hibernation-method are to increase holistic cost of service and to slower ...Reducing cost of service is an important goal for resource discovery and interaction technologies. The shortcomings of transhipment-method and hibernation-method are to increase holistic cost of service and to slower resource discovery respectively. To overcome these shortcomings, a context-aware computing-based method is developed. This method, firstly, analyzes the courses of devices using resource discovery and interaction technologies to identify some types of context related to reducing cost of service, then, chooses effective methods such as stopping broadcast and hibernation to reduce cost of service according to information supplied by the context but not the transhipment-method’s simple hibernations. The results of experiments indicate that under the worst condition this method overcomes the shortcomings of transhipment-method, makes the “poor” devices hibernate longer than hibernation-method to reduce cost of service more effectively, and discovers resources faster than hibernation-method; under the best condition it is far better than hibernation-method in all aspects.展开更多

The location finding of a small sound has some difficulties such as high computational costs or disturbances from the ambient noises and reflected waves. The proposed system is composed of a biologically-inspired system which uses a hearing mechanism based on the human ear and a mechanism for perceiving weak signals that uses stochastic resonance. The location finding mechanism in the proposed system is based on the time-lag detecting architecture. On the other hand, the stochastic resonance mechanism can pick up the small sound source in the ambient noises. Using this proposed system, we implemented the location finding of small sounds through numerical simulations and hardware experiments. Good results were obtained for the small sound source location finding.展开更多
Objective To evaluate the application of 99Tcm-sestamibi dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy in the preoperative localization in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism and to compare the diagnostic efficacy of vari...Objective To evaluate the application of 99Tcm-sestamibi dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy in the preoperative localization in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism and to compare the diagnostic efficacy of various imaging modalities. Methods Ninety-two consecutive patients, diagnosed as hyperparathyroidism and presented with hypercalcaemia as the predominant symptom, were included. All the patients underwent dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy using 99Tcm-sestamibi and parathyroid ultrasound scan. Among them, 48 patients underwent parathyroid computed tomography (CT). All patients were referred for parathyroidectomy. Results 99Tcm-sestamibi dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy revealed the diagnostic sensitivity of 76.5%, 80%, 75% and 33.3% for the subgroup of single adenomas, multiple adenomas, ectopic parathyroid and parathyroid hyperplasia respectively. The specificity was 100% for all leisons. 99Tcm-sestamibi dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy was proved to be superior to the other imaging modalities (ultrasound and CT) in terms of the preoperative diagnostic accuracy. The lesion weight was found to be an underlying factor leading to the false negative result. Conclusion 99Tcm-sestamibi dual-phase parathyroid scintigraphy was found to have higher diagnostic accuracy in comparison with other imaging modalities and is recommended preoperatively in order to reduce the sugery time and unnecessary neck exploration.展开更多

METHODS: Three patients with TGA were given mini-mental state examination (MMSE), revised Wechsler...OBJECTIVE: To study cognitive function and cerebral metabolic changes in patients with transient global amnesia (TGA). METHODS: Three patients with TGA were given mini-mental state examination (MMSE), revised Wechsler memory scale (WMS-R) examination and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans after they had been diagnosed as TGA. Using (18)F labelled deoxyglucose as tracer, patients were given a positron emission tomography (PET) examination at different periods during recovery. RESULTS: No obvious abnormality was found in MMSE and MRI scans in the three patients. However, WMS-R examination and cerebral PET imaging displayed cognitive dysfunction of varying degrees and low metabolism in local areas related to memory in 2 of 3 patients. CONCLUSIONS: In TGA patients, cognitive function and cerebral metabolic levels are closely correlated with duration of symptoms. It is necessary to stop the TGA attack as quickly as possible early time.展开更多
