There is a lack of corre...The sludge was landfilled after solidification/stabilization treatment. This technology can solve the problem of much sludge treatment. But the study on engineering application is less common. There is a lack of corresponding research results about equipment, process and treatment effect. According to the above problems, this paper discusses the treatment process combining with sludge solidification/stabilization landfill field in Fuyong Town in Shenzhen City. Furthermore, the strength, moisture content, environmental indexes of treated sludge in field test was carried out in order to monitor the treatment effect. The results showed that the sludge solidification/stabilization equipment can meet the need of large-scale engineering application and the treatment process is relatively simple and the solidified sludge can meet the need of landfill.展开更多

Over the years, several different downstream processes were studied in order to determine which technique would be worthwhile to be implemented in Brazil and provide the national market with such product. The objective of the present study is to relate the main studies in Brazil that has proven that bromelain purification can be cost-effective, in addition to the well-known benefits owned by such enzymes, and highlight the applications that create their market potential in the Brazilian market.展开更多

Spitlover effects （mainly competition effect） have primarily negatively affected indigenous growth quality. The effect on indigenous growth quality is positive only in sub-samples with high foreign capital concentration and ,,hen the spillover effect is similar to the technology transfer and diffusion effect brought about by localization. It is also found that technology gaps, foreign capital concentration and value added ratio gaps are important factors affecting the impact of technology transfer and diffusion on indigenous economic growth.展开更多
The aim of the article concerns to the achieved research results regarding the viability of a megawatt-class space power plant based on the Rankine cycle for which the main objectives are to highlight the key issues r...The aim of the article concerns to the achieved research results regarding the viability of a megawatt-class space power plant based on the Rankine cycle for which the main objectives are to highlight the key issues responsible for improving the Rankine cycle efficiency. Two working fluids are studied （water and ammonia） on the basis of its well known characteristics. Cycles operating under top and bottom temperatures approaching the state of the art technology associated to cooling fluid reservoirs are key to improve the efficiency. With such strategy, the achieved thermal efficiency increases more than 20% with respect to conventional power plants. Mentioned benefits associated to the strategy based on the reduction of the required payload capacity, the condenser radiation surface and the power plant mass represent the main advantages of the proposed innovation techniques.展开更多

Recent clinical investigations and basic researches suggest that strategies to improve angiogenesis following TBI may provide promising opportunities to improve clinical outcomes and brain functional recovery. More and more evidences show that circulating endothelial progenitor cells （EPCs）, which have been identified in the peripheral blood, may play an important role in the pathologic and physiological anglo-genesis in adults. Moreover, impressive data demonstrate that EPCs are mobilized from bone marrow to blood circula- tion in response to traumatic or inflammatory stimulations. In this review, we discussed the role of EPCs in the repair of brain injury and the possible therapeutic implication for func- tional recovery of TBI in the future.展开更多
