The complexity and diversity of the blade cross-section determine it impossible to establish an universal theoretical model for the rolling process. Finite element analysis(FEA) provides a perspective solution to the prediction. The FEA software DEFORM was applied to discovering the deformation, stress, strain and velocity field of the variable cross-section workpiece, and the effects of friction coefficient and rolling speed during the rolling process. which indicates that the average rolling force at friction coefficient of 0.4 is 6.5% higher than that at 0.12, and the rolling velocity has less effect on the equivalent stress and strain distribution, which would confer instructive significance on the theoretical study as well as the engineering practice.展开更多

Identification of the epitope regions of the virus is important for the diagnosis and epidemiological studies of CCHFV infections. In this study, expression vectors carrying series truncated fragments of the NP(nucleocapsid protein)gene from the S fragment of CCHFV strain YL04057 were constructed. The recombinant proteins were expressed in E.coli and purified for detection. The antigenic of the truncated fragments of NP was detected with a polyclonal serum(rabbit)and 2 monoclonal(mAbs)(14B7 and 43E5)against CCHFV by Western-blot analyses. The results showed that the three expressed constructs, which all contained the region 235AA to 305AA could be detected by mAbs polyclonal serum. The results suggest that region 235-305 aa of NP is a highly antigenic region and is highly conserved in the NP protein.展开更多

The sites suffer from weathering noted as honeycomb, exfoliation and discoloration with white salt efflorescence at some parts. These are diagnostic features for salt weathering as confirmed by the laboratory investigations using thin section analysis. The salt is found to be from three sources, namely, water spray, chemical alteration of the mortar's carbonate content into sulfate salts by acid rain, and wet deposition of air pollutants on the surface of the stones ruins. The cracks noted in the structures of this archeological building are the results of landslides in this area. Knowledge of the archeological sites material examined can be greatly enhanced by understanding the process in their formation of degradation. This paper aims to describe the use of thin sections/micromorphology in the archeological sites. Analysis data of physical sitting, geology, geomorphology, and climate have been done to determine the main nature of hazards in this sites. Dynamic processing problems are existing along Alexandria coast including beach erosion, pollution and manmade. Thin section analysis is used to determine the factor in increasing the hazard level.展开更多

The analysis is applied to a laminated composite construction of the circumferentially asymmetric stiffness (CAS) that produces bending-twist coupling. The vibration characteristics of composite beam are determined by the Extended Galerkin Method. The unsteady aerodynamic loads and centrifugal force are integrated with the classical aerodynamic model to deal with aeroelastic stability analysis. The influence of some related factors, ply angle, rotating velocity, and wind speed, is investigated. The paper gives methods of eigenvalue analysis and aeroelastic response, and gives the approaches to restrain classical flutter.展开更多

This case report high- lights the fact that thorough clinical examination and de- tailed evaluation of trauma patients are very necessary so that any associated injuries or foreign bodies will not be missed and any unforeseen clinical or medico-legal complications can be prevented. We present a case of a 35-year- old male patient who had traumatic transfemoral amputation of the right lower limb with a clean laceration (size 2 cmx I cm) over the medial aspect of the left thigh. Radiographs suggested a single radioopaque foreign body which proved misleading, as during surgical removal multiple radiolucent and radiopaque foreign bodies were discovered.Postoperative ultrasound was performed and showed no retained foreign bodies. A secondary closure of the right thigh amputation was done and patient was discharged. At the last follow-up, 9 months after injury, the patient had no complaints, and both the amputation stump and the wound over the left thigh were healthy. Thus in the cases of re- tained foreign bodies, in addition to thorough clinical examination and radiography, ultrasonograpy should be supplemented. And if required, use of CT scan as well as MRI should be also considered.展开更多
