重离子治癌中磁扫描照射野形成法的初步参数要求

我院1993年以来.应用KS—2A型治疗仪(简称KS)扫描照射治疗宫颈糜烂507例,获得较好疗效,KS—2A治疗仪为中国科学院生物物理研究所研制.1 临床资料1.1 机器性能 输入电压:220V或110V,可选50Hz,正弦波.输出电压:交流电、非正弦波,0~50V连... 我院1993年以来.应用KS—2A型治疗仪(简称KS)扫描照射治疗宫颈糜烂507例,获得较好疗效,KS—2A治疗仪为中国科学院生物物理研究所研制.1 临床资料1.1 机器性能 输入电压:220V或110V,可选50Hz,正弦波.输出电压:交流电、非正弦波,0~50V连续可调,输出电流小于1OA、定时范围:0~90分钟可调,光功率检查:0~15W(相对参考值),光斑最小直径1.Ocm.1.2 一般资料 507例为Ⅰ~Ⅲ度宫颈糜烂患者,已婚,年龄20~60岁,盆腔检查正常,宫颈刮片未见癌细胞;刮片巴氏Ⅲ级及Ⅲ度宫颈糜烂者均作宫颈活检除外宫颈癌;有阴道炎者,经治疗后实验室检霉菌、滴虫、淋球菌为阴性.1.3 宫颈糜烂的分度标准 Ⅰ度(轻度):糜烂面积占宫颈面积1/3以下;Ⅱ度(中度):糜烂面积占宫颈面积的1/3~2/3;Ⅲ度(重度):糜烂面积占宫颈面积的2/3以上.1.4 疗效评定标准 (1)痊愈:宫颈局部光滑,糜烂面消失,用2.5%碘酒宫颈染色,全部着色.(2)好转:宫颈糜烂面积缩小,病变变浅,局部上皮新生.重度糜烂变为中度,中度糜烂转变为轻度.(3)无效:患者自觉症状未消失.糜烂面积缩小不明显. 展开更多

We compared DVHs (dose volume histograms) of two tangential irradiation techniques for whole breast RT (radiotherapy) CT (computed tomography) based 2D (two dimensional) technique with wedge filters and 3D CRT (three dimensional conformal radiotherapy) with segmented fields. These two modalities are commonly used in external beam radiotherapy of breast cancer in Clinical Center Nis, Clinic of Oncology, Serbia. Therapy plans that employed two techniques were generated for eighteen patients. Dosimetric outcomes of each technique were investigated. The maximum dose of breast CTV was significantly reduced from 55.83 Gy for 2D to 54.1 Gy for 3D CRT. Also, the maximum dose of lung tissue decreased from 51.81 Gy for 2D to 49.61 Gy for 3D. The dose conformity and uniformity were much better with 3D CRT segmented field technique. 展开更多

Value of FDG PET/CT in the Management of Mesothelioma

The aim of this study is to compare and discuss the efficacy of FDG PET/CT (fludeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computated tomography) in the diagnosis, staging, prognosis, pre-therapeutic planning, therapeutic assessment and detecting recurrence of mesothelioma. Following method has been used: (1) Search setting on PubMed (by priority): meta-analysis, randomized controlled trial, other study types; (2) The key words: "FDG PET/CT", "mesothelioma", "diagnosis", "staging", "prognosis", "therapeutic", "assessment" and "recurrences"; (3) Review the literature that discusses the imaging modalities in the management of mesothelioma; (4) Create an evidence table; (5) Compare and discuss the different modalities and their sensitivity and specificity in managing mesothelioma; (6) Construct the passage reviewing the articles chosen. There is evidence that suggests that FDG PET/CT is superior to most other modalities in the diagnosis, staging, prognosis, pre-therapeutic planning, therapeutic assessment and detecting recurrence of mesothelioma. There are some close contenders like PET scan by itself as a modality to detect mesothelioma. However, due to the lack of anatomical presentation, there were many occurrences of misdiagnosis. FDG PET/CT, which superimposes functional imaging over the anatomical mapping, yields a more accurate presentation ofmesothelioma. The nature of this hybrid imaging enables diagnosis and management to be carried-out in a minimally invasive manner. PET/CT to a great extent has tranformed the way we diagnose neoplastic occurences heretofore. By amalgamating anatomic localization to functional imaging, this hybrid modality yields valuable information that was remotely attainable before. Although there are a few flaws to PET/CT that have been discussed in some studies, there is an apparent potential to this modality that is waiting to be uncovered. Evidently, PET/CT is highly effective in differentiating benign and malignant pleural lesion. Likewise, it is substantially useful in the management of mesothelioma particularly in the diagnosis, staging, prognosis, treatment, monitoring and detecting recurrences. With PET/CT having such adequacy in managing mesothelioma, it is imperative to acknowledge and further investigate this modality as a central tool in the management of the latter for the exclusive benefit of the patient. 展开更多

The strontium modified waste FCC catalyst was prepared by magnetic stirring method and characterized by Xray diffractometry(XRD),UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrometry(DRS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Meanwhile,its photocatalytic denitrogenation performance was evaluated in terms of its ability to degrade the N-containing simulation oil under visible light.A mixture of strontium nitrate solution(with a concentration of 0.5 mol/L)and waste FCC catalyst was calcined at 400℃for 5 h prior to taking part in the photocatalytic denitrogenation reaction.The test results showed that the photocatalytic degradation rate of pyridine contained in simulation oil in the presence of the strontium modified FCC catalyst could reach 92.0% under visible light irradiation for 2.5 h. 展开更多

Biocidal Effect of Gamma Radiation on the Ecology of Filamentous Fungal Populations Associated with Stone Deterioration

This study focused on the identification of the filamentous fungi associated with soapstone samples exposed to outdoor conditions and the biocidal effect of gamma radiations on isolated fungal populations in Minas Gerais State in Brazil. Two soapstone blocks were placed outdoors under tropical environmental conditions for 12 months. A total of 9 filamentous fungal populations were identified on their surfaces, namely Acremomium (cf.) alternatum, Alternaria alternata, Aspergillusfumigatus, Calcarisporium (cf.) arbuscula, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Curvularia lunata, Epicoccum nigrum, Fusarium equiseti and Penicillium citrinum. The gamma radiation assay was then carried out as a test of biocidal action by exposing all fungal populations to the ionizing radiation. The results showed that only the C. cladosporioides species was resistant to this biocidal agent, since it was able to increase its population post exposure. Scanning electron microscopy images identified the microbial colonization on the soapstone blocks and the stone elementar composition was analyzed by energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry. After treatment, there was no structural and aesthetic alteration in the soapstone samples, and evidencing that gamma radiation can be used as a biocidal agent. However, the resistance of the black fungal population indicates caution in the choice of gamma irradiation as biocidal treatment. 展开更多
