There are differences between the traditional e-learning system and the new E-Learning 2.0 training. At present time, the new technologies provided by Web 2.0 better correspond to the needs of both students and teaching staff. The new Web 2.0 allows the "promoting of individual creativity", together with the "use of collective intelligence". A comparison of the two development stages of the e-learning tools has been completed and the advantages of E-Learning 2.0 are shown. The main components of Web 2.0 are provided and the use ofwiki as an up-to-date collaboration tool for on-line teamwork is shown.展开更多

However, previous studies showed that staff's attitude toward E-learning significantly affected the outcomes of training. The purpose of this study is to investigate the acceptance of E-learning in a telecommunication company. The researchers adopted the technology acceptance model (TAM) and diffusion of innovation theory to evaluate the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on E-learning, in addition to employees' self-directed learning motivation, attitude toward computers, and organizational influence. We randomly chose 571 employees of the telecommunication entrepreneur at the Taichung office in Taiwan to participate in this survey. The result showed that employees' background factors such as age, job position, marital status, education level and the scale of job unit had the significant impact on behavioral intention to use E-learning. Employees' self-directed learning, attitude toward computers, and organizational influence respectively also had positive effects on perceived usefulness of E-learning and perceived ease of use of E-learning. Furthermore, employees' perceived usefulness of E-learning and perceived ease of use of E-learning also had a positive effect on behavioral intention to use E-learning systems.展开更多

Under this aspect, we're going to investigate, firstly, what the role of creativity is in interactions in the language class. On the other hand, the adoption of creative interaction techniques allows the group to take a new look in the face of its learning (apprenticeship), to better manage its potential. Finally, it would be interesting to propose the realization of a project of creative communication, to re-explore creativity in problem solving through the techniques of the game, giving more importance to the performance of more or less complex tasks and the development of the project in a holistic and action-oriented approach.展开更多

In modem technological world; this definition has been changed and modified to include the changes and modification in behavior as a result of experience, training, and practice by using modem toolkits and metacognition for self-regulated, lifelong, open, flexible, and continuous learning in Virtual Learning Environment Framework (VLEF). The classical factors of learning included: motivation, attitude, interest, attention, readiness, participation, and reinforcement. But, due to the modem toolkits, gadgets, and ICT technologies, there are new varieties in modes of presentations and instructions. The emerging learning factors to be integrated and blended include: multimedia, hypermedia, and multimodality. The researcher has intended to identify the gap in the existing literature for the inclusion of new emerging factors such as multimedia, hypermedia, and multimodal presentations. The purpose of the study was to identify the gap in the factors of learning for learning blend in this era of science and technology, especially, in the ICT-integrated form of blended learning. The methodology of the study was analysis and synthesis of literature in the form of reviewing literature for developing a model of blended leaning. The study is significant because it has filled the gap in factors of learning for making it blended in VLEF. The factors were analyzed and synthesized in the form of a model. The findings were summarized for drawing conclusion, and at the end there were made some suggestions and recommendations for blended learning environments.展开更多

The aim is to develop students' professional skill. A professional skill scale of software engineer is introduced with Software English communicative skill (reading skill, writing skill, listening skill, and communicative skill), engineering thinking habit (skill of design the plan and problem-solving skill), engineering thinking skill, knowledge of software engineering, and Emotion Quotient to deal with problems (Team spirit and communicative skill and self-assessment skill). For software majors, students learn about five stages and job responsibilities in software making process.展开更多

Further enhancements in nuclear education are being considered through the use of distance learning technologies. The purpose of this work is to explore distance learning related tools to determine if they can provide an enhanced learning environment for nuclear education. In this work, a set of tools are examined that can be used to augment or replace the traditional lecture method. These tools are Mediasite, Adobe Connect, Elluminate, and Camtasia. All four tools have recording capabilities that allow the students to experience the exchange of information in different ways. This paper compares recent experiences with each of these tools in providing nuclear engineering education and assesses the various constraints and impacts on delivery through direct feedback from students and instructors. In general, the tools were found to be useful for mature students on the condition that the lecturer was comfortable with the tools and in some cases, adequate support from IT groups was provided.展开更多

Where laboratory is available, there is the problem of obsolete and antiquated materials, which are seldom available for use. In most Universities in Africa, there is inadequate supply of laboratory space and laboratory materials. The laboratories only have the items of equipment that were provided when the universities were established, this has hampered learning. An alternative educational approach is required to address the aforementioned problems and provide a cost-effective solution for education as well as a valuable complementary or learning tool for university students. The alternative approach is the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology to simulate virtual learning environments such as virtual reality laboratories. This is a one solution to inadequate physical laboratories in Africa.展开更多

Research suggests that we need to improve the ways technology is applied, adopted and introduced and that higher levels of support should be provided to minority and nontraditional learning populations as they immerse themselves into higher education environments. Avenues for discussion of cost-effective technology integration and transition are explored; data identifies a need for more effective selection and alignment of learning needs with learning tools earlier on in the process of technology implementation across campuses. Research suggests this supports student presence, persistence, retention and success. Without it, however, we fail to support the very learners we seek to provide higher levels of access and opportunity. This failure will impact learners and institutions alike by placing disadvantage populations in precarious positions and universities having to choose between cultural, economic and human capital. The paper is organized as follows: Section 1: Introduction; Section 2: Need for Understanding Minority Enrollment Patterns; Section 3: Analysis of Report Data; Section 4: Strategy; Section 5: Conclusions.展开更多

Deep learning brings new development direction to artificial neural network. Convolution neural network is a new artificial neural network method, which combines artificial neural network and deep learning technology, and this new neural network is widely used in many fields of computer vision. Modern image recognition algorithm requires classifi cation system to adapt to different types of tasks, and deep network and convolution neural network is a hot research topic in neural networks. According to the characteristics of satellite digital image, we use the convolution neural network to classify the image, which combines texture features with spectral features. The experimental results show that the convolution neural network algorithm can effectively classify the image.展开更多
