In this article the authors are formulated priorities for the development of an innovative economy: The promotion of investment growth in production infrastructure and innovation, increasing the orientation of research institutions to the needs of the real economy, the development of entrepreneurship in all sectors of the economy and the creation of necessary conditions. The article considers the key elements of innovation infrastructure. Also program "Development of high-tech industry and which Technopark "Novosibirsk" implements the this article is given a brief description of the complex target innovation in the industry to the city of Novosibirsk in 2020", in concept of technopark of distributed type, when the Technopark is built in the form of structural and autonomous innovation and technology centers established by the territorial-branch principle in conjunction with partner organizations. The analysis of the stories of success (and failure) of residents of Technopark is described in this article. Based on this analysis, which highlights the main factors contributing to the achievement of commercially meaningful results. These include training as an essential component of the innovation infrastructure. Describes the international educational programs implemented by the Innovative Technology Center "Education" at the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management. It is noted that the most important result of the operation of Technopark "Novosibirsk" was working out a model of public-private partnership that has allowed Technopark flourish, creating a network of specialized centers of innovation and technology. Finally the authors conclude that at the present time in Russia on almost all the basic elements of support for innovative entrepreneurship are created. At the same time a significant part of the difficulties cause problems originating from the external environment of business innovation展开更多

HINT is a two-year project part funded Geoparks researching the uses and benefits of new technologies in by the European Leader Programme. The partners are Geopark Shetland (Scotland), Chablais Geopark (France), North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (England) and Geopark de Hondsrug (The Netherlands). Each partner has developed a pilot project to investigate the practicalities of interpreting and communicating heritage, especially geological heritage, using a particular technology. An overview of each of the four pilot projects is given. The overall aim of the pilot projects is to develop best practice in using new technologies for heritage interpretation and to share information and ideas within the project partnership and with geoparks and heritage organizations around the world. This paper, developed by the HINT partners, aims to give an insight into the practical process of developing interpretive tools using new technologies. Some common problems are highlighted and some ways in which these can be addressed are shown.展开更多

There are still many questions that we will have to answer for the harmonization of living together with a robot. This study is focused on "the study of how to plan and design a living space in harmonizing with robots", and focused on the effects of infants (subjects) along with the distance between robots and themselves. The study is to seek for the minimum distance for the subjects who felt that "I do not want a robot to be any closer being approached to me". This experiment was conducted among 30 infants at the kindergarten, utilizing a small experimental robot. A small robot whose dimension is 120 mm (W) ×130 mm (D) × 70 mm (H), approaching infants as is to see if it would make any differences to the infant's reactions.展开更多

In GuimarSes district soil moisture content is monitored in kiwifi'uit orchard as a routine parameter. Drip irrigation system is the method used. This crop tends to have high water requirements and extends over a wide area in Portugal, requiring innovative solutions to achieve better benefits. A method that correlates soil and crop conditions with the parameters of remote sensing was established in this study. To assess the level of accuracy of soil moisture measurements from satellites, it is important to compare satellite image with ground real data (namely the frequency domain reflectometry (FDR), Diviner 2000). The combination of multispectral satellite images produces an image representative of vegetation vigour, density and health. In this study, Landsat satellite images (2011 and 2013) are used and vegetation indexes are calculated for different periods of time, using the software Idrisi Taiga. The information of vegetation indexes is crossed with data of soil moisture, in situ, to establish a correlation between both of them. Thus, it allows to improve the soil water content monitoring, in particular for the soil water balance optimization and its effect on kiwi biornass production.展开更多

In order to develop these structures and maintain population and its activity, the metabolism of urban areas needs a lot of external sources of energy and nutrients (water, food, materials...), which produces heat waste, garbage, sewage and pollution which are some of the major problems for urban sites, and the related areas from it. This metabolism promotes major environmental changes in the urban areas, which promote stress on vegetation used in gardening. The main environmental factors that affect vegetation in urban areas are the same that have been defined in literature from long time ago, but now they are acting as the sum of complementary and synergic effects of these classical stresses at the same moment, in the same place, which happen due to the incredibly amount of energy that we place in the systems. This is called global change. Ecophysiological studies can provide objective information to be used as a tool to improve the vegetation management in urban areas from design to process, and consequently avoiding the potential vulnerabilities associated with global change. Present paper tries to show several examples about the plant response, measurement tools and vulnerabilities and adaptations to global change under urban conditions. It can be concluded that the large availability of vegetal material and the great technical development can be highlighted as strong points of gardening and urban landscaping while, as weak points, it could be mentioned the changing taste of consumers, which can force the introduction of new vegetal material with no time for adaptation, Urban gardening and landscaping can be considered to be exposed to global change, but in our opinion it is necessary to carry out more studies to determine the real degree of vulnerability of this activity to this complex kind of stress.展开更多

It suggests that roof gardens will bring about a comparatively big leap in city greening both quantitatively and qualitatively.展开更多
