Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model, structural equation modeling was used to analyze the main factors influencing firm staff to accept low-carbon new technology. The study reveals that the employee's social impact, performance expectation, effort expectations and convenient conditions, and employee characteristics are all main factors affecting their acceptance attitudes on low-carbon new technology. And social influence has the largest effect on employees' acceptance attitudes toward low-carbon new technology. Accordingly, relevant policy recommendations are put forward for the future research direction.展开更多

French was then recognized as the official language in administration. Iranian migration later took on another dimension after the 1953 Coup, a politicization that reached a peak with the arrival in Paris of Khomeini on August 2, 1978. In spite of this migratory tradition, about 4,000 persons before the revolution, the majority being from the political and financial elite, these migratory flows amplified in the middle of the 1980s, in such a way that at the end of December 2014, there were 31,000 Iranians in France. This new phase which included four waves, from a sociological point of view, can be called the diasporaisation of Iranian migration. The socio-economic profile goes from the urban elite: lawyers, officials, journalists, teachers, doctors, nurses, magistrates, military officials, company directors, political exiles, etc., to artisans such as shopkeepers, garage owners, building contractors.., and finally from the skilled labourer, on through to unskilled workers in building, restauration or removals,展开更多

By synthesizing prominent literature that is peripherally related, this paper establishes both a base of knowledge for this new realm of inquiry, as well as identifying a platform for further research. The paper also adds to the knowledge based by creating a theoretical framework which brings together practice theory with situationist theory to present a new lens through which to examine this issue. From a theoretical standpoint, technology is said to be a reflection of society. If technology can be linked to society and society in turn can be equated with the spectacle then it is a natural progression to examine technology as spectacle. Therefore, using the two theories in tandem provides a very suitable lens to frame an investigation of technology as spectacle, and the viability of social media as a communication tool for special events.展开更多

The cloud classes are organised with one class from each country in the subjects: language, science, math, social science/history. The teachers from the three classes work together to design teaching they conduct together with assignments the students will be able to solve only in collaboration with their fellow students in the three classes. The three year project ends in 2014 but already now there are some interesting findings on how transnational teaching collaboration works for teachers and students. This paper will focus on the different uses of web based tools of synchronous and asynchronous communication and discuss challenges and benefits in regard to learning and pedagogy with virtual classroom.展开更多

Changes in the real world, such as advances in technology, increased global competition, and the shift from a manufacturing-based to a service-based economy are influencing the management accounting techniques used by educators and practitioners today. The purpose of this research paper is to discover what techniques are required to obtain a management accounting job today. The research sampled situations vacant advertisements over four weeks. From the total of 374 management accounting job advertisements, 248 stated the management accounting technique of operational budgeting. The next most common techniques were variance analysis, financial reporting, capital budgeting, and computer system experience. The least common techniques were activity-based costing (ABC), process costing, standard costing, cost volume profit, activity-based management (ABM), and costs of quality, balanced scorecard, behavioral implications, ethics, and other. Management accounting educators should focus on the more frequently-cited techniques in order to prepare students for the practical world. This study also finds that many management accounting positions require financial accounting, so students should continue to be taught financial accounting conjointly.展开更多

Biotechnological achievements are not a novelty to Bulgaria. They have existed for thousands of years and are connected with the production of milk and milk products, rose oil, herbal raw materials, and etc.. Contemporary biotechnological achievements are marketed in the form of nutritional, medicinal, and chemical products or as environmental protection. Traditional knowledge and achievements of modern science put the legal protection of biotechnology and its products on the agenda. In the national context, such rights have been statutory regulated and studied by specialists in the field of intellectual property. The problematic issues have not been so adequately treated in the country in terms of accounting theory and practice. The rights on biotechnology and biotechnological products are not within the scope of accounting items and accounting assets respectively. This is the motivation for the author to study the rights on biotechnology products within the context of their recognition as intangible assets. The author tries to present the conceptual framework for their identification and recognition as accounting items, as well as to define some scientific application problems on the topic.展开更多
