In order to realize direct thrust control instead of conventional sensors-based control for aero-engine, a thrust estimator with high accuracy is designed by using the boosting technique to improve the performance of least squares support vector regression (LSSVR). There exist two distinct features compared with the conven- tional boosting technique: (1) Sampling without replacement is used to avoid numerical instability for modeling LSSVR. (2) To realize the sparseness of LSSVR and reduce the computational complexity, only a subset of the training samples is used to construct LSSVR. Thus, this boosting method for LSSVR is called the boosting sparse LSSVR (BSLSSVR). Finally, simulation results show that BSLSSVR-based thrust estimator can satisfy the requirement of direct thrust control, i.e. , maximum absolute value of relative error of thrust estimation is not more than 5‰. 展开更多

LuGre friction model was analyzed. The identification method of LuGre parameters was proposed, and the measures to compensate the effect of friction forces were given. A friction torque model for the new rotary motor was proposed. The low-speed response and step response of the motor were studied experimentally. Experimental results proved that using friction compensation could eliminate stick-slip motion at the low speed, which makes the servomotor applicable to simulators. 展开更多

Given the difficulties encountered in roadway support under coal pillars,we studied the characteristics of stress distribution and their effect on roadway stability,using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The results show that,under a coal pillar,vertical stress in a floor stratum increases while horizontal stress decreases.We conclude that the increased difference between vertical and horizontal stress is an important reason for deformation of the surrounding rock and failures of roadways under coal pillars.Based on this,we propose control technologies of the surrounding rock of a roadway under a coal pillar,such as high strength and high pre-stressed bolt support,cable reinforcement support single hydraulic prop with beam support and reinforcement by grouting of the surrounding rock,which have been successfully applied in a stability control project of a roadway under a coal pillar. 展开更多

The net buoyancy of the deep-sea self-holding intelligent buoy(DSIB)will change with depth due to pressure hull deformation in the deep submergence process.The net buoyancy changes will affect the hovering performance of the DSIB.To make the DSIB have better resistance to the external disturbances caused by the net buoyancy and water resistance,a depth controller was designed to improve the depth positioning based on the active disturbance rejection control(ADRC).Firstly,a dynamic model was established based on the motion analysis of the DSIB.In addition,the extended state observer(ESO)and nonlinear state error feedback controller were designed based on the Lyapunov stability principle.Finally,semi-physical simulations for the depth control process were made by using the ADRC depth controller and traditional PID depth controller,respectively.The results of the semi-physical simulations indicate that the depth controller based on the ADRC can achieve the predefined depth control under the external disturbances.Compared with the traditional PID depth controller,the overshoot of the ADRC depth controller is 1.74%,and the depth error is within 0.5%.It not only has a better control capability to restrain the overshoot and shock caused by the external disturbances,but also can improve intelligence of the DSIB under the depth tracking task. 展开更多

This paper presents two numerical realization of Preisach model by Density Function Method (DFM) and F Function Method (FFM) for a giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA). Experiment and simulation showed that FFM is better than DFM for predicting precision of hysteresis loops. Lagrange bilinear interpolation algorithm is used in Preisach numerical realization to enhance prediction performance. A set of hysteresis loops and higher order reversal curves are predicted and experimentally verified. The good agreement between the measured and predicted curves shows that the classical Preisach model is effective for modelling the quasi-static hysteresis of the GMA. 展开更多

Aiming at soft rock ground support issues under conditions of high stress and long-term water immersion, the ground failure mechanism is revealed by taking the deep-water sumps of Jiulong Mine as the engineering background and employing field investigation, tests of rock structure, mechanical properties and mineral composition. The main factors leading to the surrounding rock failure include the high and complex stress state of the water sumps, high-clay content and water-weakened rock, and the unreasonable support design. In this paper, the broken and fractured rock mass near roadway opening is considered as ground small-structure, and deep stable rock mass as ground large-structure. A support technology focusing on cutting off the water, strengthening the small structure of the rock and transferring the large structure of the rock is proposed. The proposed support technology of interconnecting the large and small structures, based on high-strength bolts, high-stiffness shotcrete layer plugging water,strengthening the small structure with deep-hole grouting and shallow-hole grouting, highpretensioned cables tensioned twice to make the large and small structures bearing the pressure evenly,channel-steel and high-pretensioned cables are used to control floor heave. The numerical simulation and field test show that this support system can control the rock deformation of the water sumps and provide technical support to similar roadway support designs. 展开更多

This paper develops a unified methodology for a real-time speed control of brushless direct-current motor drive systems in the presence of measurement noise and load torque disturbance. First, the mathematical model and hardware structure of system is established. Next, an optimal state feed back controller using the Kalman filter state estimation technique is derived. This is followed by an adaptive control algorithm to compensate for the effects of noise and disturbance. Those two algorithms working together can provide a very-high-speed regulation and dynamic response over a wide range of operating conditions. Simulated responses are presented to highlight the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

Excavation-and-support induced disturbances are likely to make water-enriched roofs to become weathered and fractured.The development and connection of cracks provide new water channels which may result in water loss,seriously affecting the in-tegrity and stability of roofs,leading to incidents of roof fall.Control of water-enriched rocks surrounding coal drifts is quite diffi-cult in China.Based on the practical situation of a water-enriched roof of a coal drift in working face 112201 of the Meihuajing coal mine,we studied the deformation features of surrounding rocks and the development of fractured areas and analyzed the major reasons for the decrease in load-carrying capacity,indicating that the key to maintain roof stability of this kind of coal drift is water retention.In addition,we proposed a staged control technology consisting of:1) surface grouting;2) cable anchor strengthening and 3) roof grouting,which has proven to be successful in this practical application.Our study indicates that,after the problem of water loss from the water-enriched roof had been effectively solved,a combined support system with high performance bolts can maintain the stability of the bearing structure,resulting in the control of roof stability in this kind of coal drift. 展开更多

The mixed H2/H∞tracking performance ensures both robust stability under a prescribed attenuation level for external disturbance and H2optimal tracking. The neural network was introduced to adaptively estimate nonlinear uncertainties, improving the system’s performance under parameter uncertainties as well as obtaining the H2/H∞tracking performance. The simulation shows that the control method performs better even when the system is under large modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. 展开更多

To solve the problem of supporting three downhill coal structures in the Yongan Coal Mine of Shanxi Jincheng, we studied the regular development of stress and plastic zones and characteristics of deformation of rock surrounding roadway groups after a period of roadway driving, mining one side as well as mining both sides, we used FLAC 3D for our numerical and theoretical analyses. Field test were carried out, where we revealed the deformation mechanism of roadways and its coal pillars in complex stress conditions. We proposed a roadway stability control technology using backwall grouting with high-water rapid hardening material and combined support with bolt and cable anchoring after mining both sides. Our field practices showed that deformation of rock surrounding roadways can be controlled with this technology. 展开更多

The paper discussed a comprehensive numerical simulation and field work by the usage of waterjet slotting tech- nique to prevent the occurrence of outbursts in soft and outburst prone coal seams. This was based on the geological and ge- omechanical conditions of Jinjiachong Colliery, Guizhou Province, associated with varied waterjet slotting parameters such as slotting penetration, slotting thickness and slotting distance along the length of borehole. Also, to understand the variation of internal stress of coal seams after waterjet slotting application, the internal stress levels were compared with and without slot- ting application, and the results indicate that the internal effective stress levels can be reduced to 70% and 45% for the vertical and horizontal stresses, respectively, and the gas concentration can be increased up to 5 times when the waterjet slotting is ap- plied. 展开更多

Based on engineering practices of Wuyang Coal Mine, we carried out X-ray diffract researches on No. 3 coal; and the rocks of its roof and floor by XRD meter, and simulated the interactive effect of the surrounding rock deformation by FLAC2DS.0 numerical simulation software under the condition of different tunneling method of multimine roadway in parallel. The internal structures of the surrounding rocks of 76 belt roadway were monitored by borehole observation instruments: and then, we analyzed the reason of fhilure and deformation of surrounding rocks of several rise entry, and proposed the technical mea- sures for controlling interactive effect of several rise entry surrounding rock deformation at last. For the thickness seam rise roadway, two conclusions were drawn: one is that the co-deformation among roadway groups mainly reflect on that both shear failure and deformation in coal pillar among roadways have decreased the width of pillar core region and clamping action of coal pillar to roof strata, increased the actual span of roof strata, intensified the flexural failure of roof strata and prized the bed separation of roof deep rock strata. The other conclusion is that the factors controlling the interactive deformation among roadways is obvious when appropriate re-adjustment in construction sequence of the tunneling of multimine parallel roadways because the construction sequence among roadways also has great effects on deformation of the surrounding rock in roadway. 展开更多

After theoretical analysis, numerical evaluation and practical test, the loading assistant closure method is employed in Edong Yangtze River Bridge. The loading assistant closure method, with better thermal adaptability and less influence on bridge line and the forced status, can meet the requirements of the unstressed state control method. Based on the mentioned advantages, the loading assistant closure method is applicable to long span hybrid girder cable stayed bridges.
