This paper examines the traditional techniques, methods, and materials used in Tibetan (Tantric) Buddhist painting by observing its working process at first hand, and having attended a number of its exhibitions, art workshops, and other resources both at home and overseas. The survey of the technical aspect of Tibetan painting is primarily based upon the general usage of materials, as well as the method and the usual order of their application that relates to most kinds of mural paintings in Tibet, and which are less well-known in the West This paper aims to present a rich and somewhat complicated range of methods and materials of Tibetan (Tantric] Buddhist art tradition. To its end, the author hopes it also provides more indication of its possible influence of the traditional artistic wealth in Tibet on contemporary artists working in relation to this culture.展开更多

HINT is a two-year project part funded Geoparks researching the uses and benefits of new technologies in by the European Leader Programm...The HINT project is a four-country collective of Global heritage interpretation. HINT is a two-year project part funded Geoparks researching the uses and benefits of new technologies in by the European Leader Programme. The partners are Geopark Shetland (Scotland), Chablais Geopark (France), North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (England) and Geopark de Hondsrug (The Netherlands). Each partner has developed a pilot project to investigate the practicalities of interpreting and communicating heritage, especially geological heritage, using a particular technology. An overview of each of the four pilot projects is given. The overall aim of the pilot projects is to develop best practice in using new technologies for heritage interpretation and to share information and ideas within the project partnership and with geoparks and heritage organizations around the world. This paper, developed by the HINT partners, aims to give an insight into the practical process of developing interpretive tools using new technologies. Some common problems are highlighted and some ways in which these can be addressed are shown.展开更多

In this paper, the current status of our architectural heritage protection process, analyzes the signi? cance of the protection framework and ideas, discuss their research methods to analyze the feasibility of building process aimed at promoting heritage protection process, to resolve the current architectural Heritage Protection the “lost technology” and “craftsman team fault,” the urgent problem for protection policies provide reference formulation. On the building process is about building sophisticated cognitive system theory and principles and methods of generation, including the principle of building technology, building technology system structure, and evolution of construction technology paradigm, Chinese modern architecture and sophisticated analysis of the problem 4 to improve its strategy part of a chain, the development of theory and practice in the field of architecture will have far-reaching significance.
