It is well known that the ocular contour was characterized by its skin structure relevant to fillings of soft tissue and concave-convex bones. In rec...It is well known that the ocular contour was characterized by its skin structure relevant to fillings of soft tissue and concave-convex bones. With aging, it changed a lot due to the volume loss of soft tissue. In recent studies, the aging process of the Asians whose eyelids flled with more soft tissue had signifcant impacts on the ocular contour. The aim of our work was to investigate the changes of the ocular contour of Asian people and establish a curve to describe it. In this study, it was demonstrated that the aging was not only linked to the distance between the inferior border of palpebral bag and the midpoint of palpebral fissure, but also correlated with the angle between palpebral fissure and the facial midline. Therefore, “Youthful Curve of Ocular Region” was established with measurements based on mentioned two areas. This curve went through the regions of upper and lower eyelid area and palpebral bags area. In addition, by using multivariate linear regression, a mathematical model to analyze this curve was obtained. The mathematical model was a crucial supplement to evaluate appearance age of ocular region in Asian people. Moreover, it had great potential in developments of anti-aging effects of eye cosmetics.展开更多

Just as a good tutor would practice different techniques of teaching, an assessor would usually use different strategies of assessment. Moreover, the different activities of assessment, such as teaching, are additionally executed at various times during the semester, thus, we can know in which way the student is learning. An assessment strategy lays out a well thoroughly considered choice of assessment methods that are aligned with the aims and learning outcomes. Because align the assessment with a specific kind of learning outcome, the tutor needs to choose a suitable technique of assessment. This paper draws upon a case study of the first year architectural design at Pharos University as another way to deal with realizing ＂how to design your assessment plan＂. Throughout the form of criteria based assessment, assessment can help to review the students and instructors feeling and reactions. Finally, we can learn to assist towards enhancing student learning through assessment. So, we can attract the consideration regarding the advantages of reviewing current assessment practices, and of accepting different ways to deal with assessment methods, in this manner profiting together student and tutor.展开更多

Also, it aimed to acknowledge the statistical differences between the modified averages for the study sample groups degrees in the dimensional collecting of grammar and translation skills at the knowledge of the grammar level and using it, and at the macro level for collecting translation and grammar skills after adjusting the old collecting, as well as the knowledge of the statistical differences between the modified averages for the study sample groups in the total telemetric for the critical thinking skills after adjusting the old collecting. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used the semi-experimental method that had several experimental groups （four groups）, and applied it to a sample of intermediate third-grade students in the city of Makkah （99 students） in teaching the unit of the English language course, which is （Healthy Eating） in the second semester in 2011/2012. After using the appropriate statistical methods, the study came to a result that there are no statistically significant differences in the old implementation for the test of skills of academic achievement of grammar, translation, and critical thinking skills, and that there are statistically significant differences in the new implementation due to the four strategies. According to the results of the study, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations including： the necessity to focus on the constructive theory in teaching English language skills, the importance of expanding the use of the suggested integrative oriented and its development in the field of English language teaching, to hold an intensive training courses for teachers of the English language to train them on using the suggested integrative strategy, the emphasis on the importance of the curriculum activities which focus on the integration between the constructive learning strategies, the importance of expanding of scientific research in the field of integrative strategies, and the development of synthesis methods that combine two strategies or more.展开更多
