The results showed that 4163 was resistant to rice blast isolates from Yunnan, and the leaf blast resistance levels were at grades 0, 0 and 4 in Baoshan City, Yiliang City and Yuxi City respectively, while the ear blast resistance was at level 3. Meanwhile, the resistance spectrum of Pi40 to 49 representative rice blast isolates from Yunnan Province was studied by indoor inoculation and was compared with another 25 resistance genes. The results revealed that the resistance frequency of Pi40 to the 49 typical isolates reached 87.8%, showing a broader resistance spectrum, so it could be used as a new source of resistance genes in breeding of japonica rice in Yunnan plateau in the future.展开更多

NPR1 regulates constitutive resistance and disease resistance determined by resistant genes. In this paper, the mechanism of disease resistance of NPR1 genes and its analogs were described. The research status and progress of NPR1 transgenic crops were systematically discussed. The application prospect of NPR1 transgenic crops was also forecasted.展开更多

This study carried out to isolate S. aureus from different clinical cases, also detection of MRSA prevalence and VRSA emergence, in addition to shedding light on strains that have to be multidrug resistance against various antibiotics, The clinical samples were collected from AI-Jumhuory Teaching Hospital patients in Mosul, isolates identification were achieved by conventional procedures including biochemical and physiological tests, and the specific latex agglutination test. The sensitivity pattern achieved by using disk diffusion technique, for MRSA and VRSA detection oxacillin-disk (1 μg) and vancomycin-disk (30 μg) were used respectively. Results revealed, among 17 S. aureus isolates, 7 (41%) were mostly isolated from patients with wound and burn infections. Isolates had high resistance rate against ampicillin (100%) and cefotaxime (81%), and lower resistance rate against several antibiotics. MRSA was 88% of total isolates, 93.3% of MRSA were multidrug resistance to 3-9 of antibiotics. Six isolates (40%) of MRSA were VRSA. It is concluded that antibiotics other than vancomycin can be used as anti-MRSA agents after a sensitivity test to prevent the prevalence of VRSA, the major cause of this chemotherapy problems maybe irrational and indiscriminate use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.展开更多

The present studies describe microwave-induced chemical synthesis and mass spectral characterization of curcumin-phenformin adducts using LC-MS/MS. The mechanism of formation and its analytical data via Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC) combined with MS/MS fragmentation revealed a major six membered ring adduct and a minor eight membered ring isomer. A facile chemical synthesis and identification of major and minor isomers presented in this study may offer novel therapeutic strategies for inhibiting AGEs as well as anti-cancer treatments.展开更多
