Four species in this genus are known so far from China and Southeast Asia, with E. eximius Holzschuh, 2009 as new Chinese record. The female of E. eximius was collected and described for the first time from China. The distribution of Erythresthes shimomurai Holzschuh, 1989 in Vietnam was also recorded for the first time.
