However, research that investigates the effectiveness of outdoor ads targeting to tourists has far lagged behind. This study aims to assess the awareness of outdoor ads and to provide insight into effective advertising that target tourists. Pedestrians intercepted in downtown Hong Kong were surveyed using a questionnaire and quota sampling. They were presented with images of seven outdoor advertisements currently displayed in the neighborhood and their recall and impressions of the ads were surveyed. The survey sampled 465 local residents and tourists aged 15 and above. Among the tourists, the awareness of the seven ads ranged from 19 to 49 percent with an average 30 percent. They displayed more positive perceptions of outdoor advertising than the locals, but had lower awareness. Practical suggestions for outdoor advertisers targeting tourists are proposed.展开更多

A successful company is related with the intelligence and ability of its leader to create excellent strategies to be a winner in a competition. High competition occurs among cellular operators in Indonesia. The big-five companies in telecommunication industry are PT. Telkomsel Tbk., PT. XL Axiata Tbk., PT. Indosat Tbk., PT. Telkom Tbk., and PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk.. Intelligence development is a main focus for an individual to be an effective leader in every situation. The purpose of this research is to find out more about leader intelligence in telecommunication industry. This research uses survey and descriptive method. Operational variables consist of intellectual intelligence (X0, emotional intelligence (X2), spiritual intelligence (X3), and adversity intelligence (X4). We use the Likert type as a scale of quetionaire. We use convenience sampling as a sampling technique. Results from data processing show that intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and adversity intelligence of leader in telecommunication industry are included in high category with an average percentage of 77.95%. There is no dominant intelligence that is needed to be a successful leader. The main focus is how leaders can synergize all the intelligence that they have to solve a problem, and they must also realize that changes in the telecommunication industry are very fast, so they must familiarize themselves to uncertain situations.展开更多

The results of questionnaire show that the feeling of shame is closely related with the scene of physical exercises, the extent students like physical exercises and the intensity they take exercises, which provide methodological support for the remission of the shame of middle school students with physical exercise.展开更多

The results of questionnaire show that there are significant gender differences in middle school students' shame and the average scores of male students' shame are higher than those of female students. Besides, there does exist significant age differences in middle school students' shame, but it is not simple linear relationship between the feeling of shame and ages. The feeling of shame reaches maximum at the age of 14 and intervention should be given at this age, which young students feel sensitive most. It is suggested that collective remission of the shame should be offered to middle school students with the methods such as physical exercises, persuasion etc.展开更多

Identification development follows a transparent image processing paradigm completely independent of state-of-the-art structural dynamics, aiming at delivering a simple and wide purpose method. Validation of the proposed importance sampling strategy is based on multi-scale clusters of realizations of digitally generated non-stationary stochastic processes. Good agreement with the reference pure Monte Carlo results indicates a significant potential in reducing the computational task of first passage probabilities estimation, an important feature in the field of e.g., probabilistic seismic design or risk assessment generally.展开更多

Different broad approaches to the establishment of SMNs are distinguished. It is essential to establish an adequate sampling protocol that can be applied rigorously at each sampling location and time. We make recommendations regarding the within-site sampling of soil. Different statistical methods should be associated with the different types of sampling design. We review new statistical methods that account for different sources of uncertainty. Except for those parameters for which a consensus exists, the question of testing method harmonisation remains a very difficult issue. The establishment of benchmark sites devoted to harmonisation and inter-calibration is advocated as a technical solution. However, to our present knowledge, no study has addressed crucial scientific issues such as how many calibration sites are necessary and how to locate them.展开更多
