Methods: Thirty children with diarrhea of spleen deficiency were treated by "Four-Step Tuina"(treatment group); and control group was treated with routine Tuina methods. The scale of children diarrhea was used as an objective index for therapeutic effect evaluation. Results: After treatment, the scale was 1.4±1.92 in treatment group and 3.3±3.45 in control group; the statistical analysis showed that there was a difference between the scales; the treatment group had better effects than control group, in another word, the "Four-Step Tuina " was quite effective for children diarrhea. Conclusion: Tuina has positive effects on children diarrhea of spleen deficiency, which provides evidences for the standardization of clinical therapeutic effects.展开更多

Methods: A total of 70 patients with LIDH were randomized into an observation group and a control group, with 35 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with acupuncture at abdomen acupoints plus tuina, while the control group was treated only with tuina treatment. The clinical efficacy was observed after one course of treatment. Results: The cure rate and the total effective rate of the observation group were 83.3% and 96.7%, respectively. The cure rate and the total effective rate of the control group were 39.4% and 78.8%, respectively. There were significant differences in the cured rate and the total effective rate between the two groups (both P<0.05). There was no significant differenee in Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the JOA scores of both groups in creased sign ifica ntly, and the in tra-group differe nces were statistically sign ifica nt (both P<0.05);the JOA score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture at abdomen acupoints plus tuina has a better therapeutic effect than tuina alone in the treatment of LIDH.展开更多

Methods According to random number table, 82 patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 41 patients were included in each group. The patients in the two groups were not subjected to fasting diet; fluid replacement, correction on electrolyte disturbance, withdrawal of antibiotics and other symptomatic treatments were all carried out for them. The patients in the treatment group were simultaneously treated by using pricking needling at EX-UE 10 in combination with Tuina manipulation, while the patients in the control group were orally administered with Medilac Vita. Five days were considered as a treatment course for both groups, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated after a treatment course. Results the number of patients with concurrent symptoms in the treatment group were significantly less than that in the control group (P0.05); the number of patients not showing leucopenia in the treatment group were significantly less than that in the control group (P0.05); the total effective rate of 92.7% (38/41) in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of 73.2% (30/41) in the control group, and the difference in therapeutic effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of pricking needling at EX-UE 10 in combination with Tuina on the basis of conventional treatments is better than that of combination with Medilac Vita in treating AAD in infants, and it could rapidly improve systemic symptoms and indices of stool.展开更多
