In order to develop the high photocatalytic activity of TiO2 under visible light as that under ultraviolet light and make it easy to be separated from treated liquor, a visible light response and spherical activated c...In order to develop the high photocatalytic activity of TiO2 under visible light as that under ultraviolet light and make it easy to be separated from treated liquor, a visible light response and spherical activated carbon (SAC) supported photocatalyst doped with upconversion luminescence agent Er3+:YAlO3 was prepared by immobilizing Er3+:YAlO3/TiO2, which was obtained by combination of Er3+:YAlO3 and TiO2 using sol-gel method, on the surface of SAC. The crystal phase composition, surface structure and element distribution, and light absorption of the new photocatalysts were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectra (EDS) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and fluorescence spectra analysis (FSA). The photocatalytic oxidation activity of the photocatalysts was also evaluated by the photodegradation of methyl orange (MO) in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation from a LED lamp (λ400 nm). The results showed that Er3+:YAlO3 could perform as the upconversion luminescence agent which converts the visible light up to ultraviolet light. The Er3+:YAlO3/TiO2 calcinated at 700 °C revealed the highest photocatalytic activity. The apparent reaction rate constant could reach 0.0197 min-1 under visible light irradiation.展开更多

All of the target compounds were confirmed by spectral analysis and elemental analysis. Preliminary pharmacological tests showed that several compounds exerted appreciable inhibitory effect on xylene induced ear edema in mice and that alteration of the substituents of anilines had significant influence in anti inflammatory potency.展开更多

A new atom movement mechanism of AuCuI(AAuACu84)to change structure for suiting variation in temperature is the resonance activating-synchro alternating of alloy genes, which leads to heterogeneous and successive subequilibrium transitions. There exists jumping order degree, which leads to the existence of jumping Tj-temperature and an unexpected so-called "retro-effect" about jumping temperature retrograde shift to lower temperatures upon the increasing heating rate. Methods Image fusion technology was applied to biological cell imaging processing. It could match the images and improve the confidence and spatial resolution of the images. Using two algorithms, double thresholds algorithm and denoising algorithm based on wavelet transform,the fluorescence image and transmission image of a Cell were merged into a composite image. Results and Conclusion The position of fluorescence and the structure of cell can be displyed in the composite image. The signal-to-noise ratio of the exultant image is improved to a large extent. The algorithms are not only useful to investigate the fluorescence and transmission images, but also suitable to observing two or more fluoascent label proes in a single cell.展开更多

The 1,2-PDO yield of 93.6% was achieved when Zn acted as a reductant. The results indicated that in situ formed hydrogen by the oxidation of Zn in water is more effective than gaseous hydrogen, which failed to produce the 1,2-PDO from ethyl lactate.From a practical point of view, the present method may provide a useful route for the production of 1,2-PDO from ethyl lactate.展开更多

Today, a number of methods have been used in HT catalyst ...Efficient parallel screening of combinatorial libraries is one of the most challenging aspects of the high- throughput (HT) heterogeneous catalysis workflow. Today, a number of methods have been used in HT catalyst studies, including various optical, mass-spectrometry, and gas- chromatography techniques. Of these, rapid-scanning Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) imaging is one of the fastest and most versatile screening techniques. Here, the new design of the 16-channel HT reactor is presented and test results for its accuracy and reproducibility are shown. The performance of the system was evaluated through the oxidation of CO over commercial Pd/AI203 and cobalt oxide nanoparticles synthesized with different reducer-reductant molar ratios, surfactant types, metal and surfactant concentrations, synthesis temperatures, and ramp rates.展开更多
Nanocomposites of zinc/bentonite clay were synthesized for use as an antibacterial material by a quick and simple alkaline ion exchange method. The synthesis of zinc doped bentonite nanocomposite was accomplished by p...Nanocomposites of zinc/bentonite clay were synthesized for use as an antibacterial material by a quick and simple alkaline ion exchange method. The synthesis of zinc doped bentonite nanocomposite was accomplished by placing bentonite in a melting bath of ZnSO4 for 10, 20, 40, 60 and 90 rain. The complexes were characterized by XRD, SEM and DRS. XRD analyses and SEM observations confirmed the diffusion of zinc to the clay surfaces. Antibacterial activity tests against Escherichia coli showed that bentonite did not present any antibacterial properties, but after alkaline ion exchange treatment, inhibition was noted. The highest antibacterial activity was observed with ZnO/bentonite composite alkaline ion exchange for 60 and 90 rain. Interestingly, the leaching test indicated that ZnO/bentonite did not present any risk for drinking water treatment.展开更多
Objective The Patients with pelvic tumors were treated with tumor resection,hemi-pelvic allografting or artificial hemi-pelvic replacement for the improvement of their life quality.Methods Seven cases of pelvic tumor ...Objective The Patients with pelvic tumors were treated with tumor resection,hemi-pelvic allografting or artificial hemi-pelvic replacement for the improvement of their life quality.Methods Seven cases of pelvic tumor were treated with wide resection and hemi-pelvic allografting,and 35 cases with resection of pelvic tumors and artificial hemi-pelvic replacement.Results These 42 cases were all successfully operated upon without operative mortality.The results of long term following-up of 2.5 to 12 years(mean 5.4 years)showed that the increased and satisfactory functional recovery(50.0%).Conclusion Hemi-pelvic allografting or artificial hemi-pelvic replacement after wide resection of pelvic tumors can improve the survival rate of patients,as well as reconstruction of the pelvis and the hip joint with satisfactory function.展开更多

METHODS We investigated thioacetamide(TAA)-induced liver injury, compensatory hepatocyte proliferation, and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) development in hepatic STAT3-deficient mice. In addition, we evaluated TAAinduced biliary ductular proliferation and analyzed the activation of sex determining region Y-box9(SOX9) and Yes-associated protein(YAP), which regulate the transdifferentiation of hepatocytes to cholangiocytes.RESULTS Both compensatory hepatocyte proliferation and HCC formation were significantly decreased in hepatic STAT3-deficient mice as compared with control mice. STAT3 deficiency resulted in augmentation of hepatic necrosis and fibrosis. On the other hand, biliary ductular proliferation increased in hepatic STAT3-deficient livers as compared with control livers. SOX9 and YAP were upregulated in hepatic STAT3-deficient hepatocytes.CONCLUSION STAT3 may regulate hepatocyte proliferation as well as transdifferentiation into cholangiocytes and serve as a therapeutic target for HCC inhibition and biliary regeneration.展开更多

The dynamic NMR (DNMR) method was used to detect kinetic parameters of the molecular exchange process between monomers in bulk solution and those in the micelle for Gemini surfactants, 12-s-12 and 14-s-14 (s 2, 3 a...The dynamic NMR (DNMR) method was used to detect kinetic parameters of the molecular exchange process between monomers in bulk solution and those in the micelle for Gemini surfactants, 12-s-12 and 14-s-14 (s 2, 3 and 4). The escape rate constant, k^- , was derived based on the simplified equations of DNMR theory, and the apparent activation energy of escape, Ea^- , was obtained based on the Arrhenius equation through temperature variation experiments. Results show that the orders of magnitude of k^- for 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 are respectively 10 and 103 s-1, Ea^- of 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 are respectively 54.04-73.64 and 33.42-47.09 kJ/rnol. Furthermore, k increases and Ea^- decreases with the spacer length growing. In combination with the rnicro-polarity measurements, it was revealed that molecules of 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 have to experience conformation changes when escaping from the rnicelles. The two-step molecular exchange mechanism for Gemini surfactants was therefore supported.展开更多

In this article, we investigate secure mobile crowdsensing and present ways to use deep learning(DL) methods, such as stacked autoencoder, deep neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and deep reinforcement learning, to improve approaches to MCS security, including authentication, privacy protection, faked sensing countermeasures, intrusion detection and anti-jamming transmissions in MCS. We discuss the performance gain of these DLbased approaches compared to traditional security schemes and identify the challenges that must be addressed to implement these approaches in practical MCS systems.展开更多

In the paper, the...Wavelets are a useful tool for analyzing the time-frequency of a non-stable series and are widely applied in many fields. The process of earthquake preparation and occurrence is a non-linear process. In the paper, the wavelet method is used to analyze the series of earthquake data for the time period from 1900 to 2003 in the west of the Chinese mainland and its adjacent area (WCMAA), and to obtain the characteristic information for different time scales. In the past 103 years, there were four primary periods of regional earthquake activity in the area with durations of 42, 22, 7 and 14 years, respectively and the intensity of earthquake activity changing with time. It doesn’t make sense to talk about active or quiet periods of earthquake activity unless it is based on a specific time scale. In addition, the tendency analysis of earthquake activity using the primary period of seismic activity and wavelet coefficients of varied time scales indicates that the earthquake activity in this region will be high in the forthcoming years.展开更多

In this study, transforma...Transgenic rice plants with an antisense gene inserted via Agrobacterium tumefaciens were used to explore the impact of the reduction of Rubisco activase (RCA) on Rubisco and photosynthesis. In this study, transformants containing 15% to 35% wild type Rubisco activase were selected, which could survive in ambient CO2 concentration but grew slowly compared with wild type controls. Gas exchange measurements indicated that the rate of photosynthesis decreased sig- nificantly, while stomatal conductance and transpiration rate did not change; and that the intercellular CO2 concentration even increased. Rubisco determination showed that these plants had approximately twice as much Rubisco as the wild types, although they showed 70% lower rate of photosynthesis, which was likely an acclimation response to the reduction in Rubsico activase and/or the reduction in carbamylation.展开更多

In addition, we evaluated TAAinduced biliary ductular proliferation and analyzed the activation of sex determining region Y-box9(SOX9) and Yes-associated protein(YAP), which regulate the transdifferentiation of hepatocytes to cholangiocytes.RESULTS Both compensatory hepatocyte proliferation and HCC formation were significantly decreased in hepatic STAT3-deficient mice as compared with control mice. STAT3 deficiency resulted in augmentation of hepatic necrosis and fibrosis. On the other hand, biliary ductular proliferation increased in hepatic STAT3-deficient livers as compared with control livers. SOX9 and YAP were upregulated in hepatic STAT3-deficient hepatocytes.CONCLUSION STAT3 may regulate hepatocyte proliferation as well as transdifferentiation into cholangiocytes and serve as a therapeutic target for HCC inhibition and biliary regeneration.

Blockadeof the JNK pathway with JNK inhibitors in animal modelsof IBD lead to resolution of intestinal inflammation.Current data suggest specific JNK inhibitors hold promiseas novel therapies in IBD.

文摘The dynamic NMR (DNMR) method was used to detect kinetic parameters of the molecular exchange process between monomers in bulk solution and those in the micelle for Gemini surfactants, 12-s-12 and 14-s-14 (s 2, 3 and 4). The escape rate constant, k^- , was derived based on the simplified equations of DNMR theory, and the apparent activation energy of escape, Ea^- , was obtained based on the Arrhenius equation through temperature variation experiments. Results show that the orders of magnitude of k^- for 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 are respectively 10 and 103 s-1, Ea^- of 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 are respectively 54.04-73.64 and 33.42-47.09 kJ/rnol. Furthermore, k increases and Ea^- decreases with the spacer length growing. In combination with the rnicro-polarity measurements, it was revealed that molecules of 14-s-14 and 12-s-12 have to experience conformation changes when escaping from the rnicelles. The two-step molecular exchange mechanism for Gemini surfactants was therefore supported.

文摘To improve the quality of multimedia services and stimulate secure sensing in Internet of Things applications, such as healthcare and traffic monitoring, mobile crowdsensing(MCS) systems must address security threats such as jamming, spoofing and faked sensing attacks during both sensing and information exchange processes in large-scale dynamic and heterogeneous networks. In this article, we investigate secure mobile crowdsensing and present ways to use deep learning(DL) methods, such as stacked autoencoder, deep neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and deep reinforcement learning, to improve approaches to MCS security, including authentication, privacy protection, faked sensing countermeasures, intrusion detection and anti-jamming transmissions in MCS. We discuss the performance gain of these DLbased approaches compared to traditional security schemes and identify the challenges that must be addressed to implement these approaches in practical MCS systems.
文摘Wavelets are a useful tool for analyzing the time-frequency of a non-stable series and are widely applied in many fields. The process of earthquake preparation and occurrence is a non-linear process. In the paper, the wavelet method is used to analyze the series of earthquake data for the time period from 1900 to 2003 in the west of the Chinese mainland and its adjacent area (WCMAA), and to obtain the characteristic information for different time scales. In the past 103 years, there were four primary periods of regional earthquake activity in the area with durations of 42, 22, 7 and 14 years, respectively and the intensity of earthquake activity changing with time. It doesn’t make sense to talk about active or quiet periods of earthquake activity unless it is based on a specific time scale. In addition, the tendency analysis of earthquake activity using the primary period of seismic activity and wavelet coefficients of varied time scales indicates that the earthquake activity in this region will be high in the forthcoming years.
文摘The quality of methods for determining energy transits on the tie lines (lines that connect two neighboring power system) can have significant impact on business activity of the TSOs (transmission system operators). Existing law regulation is not enough precise regarding definition of methods for metering energy transits (energy interchanged between neighboring TSOs). This paper analyses disadvantages of method for line losses metering with electric meters and suggests introduction of the measured value corrections.

文摘Transgenic rice plants with an antisense gene inserted via Agrobacterium tumefaciens were used to explore the impact of the reduction of Rubisco activase (RCA) on Rubisco and photosynthesis. In this study, transformants containing 15% to 35% wild type Rubisco activase were selected, which could survive in ambient CO2 concentration but grew slowly compared with wild type controls. Gas exchange measurements indicated that the rate of photosynthesis decreased sig- nificantly, while stomatal conductance and transpiration rate did not change; and that the intercellular CO2 concentration even increased. Rubisco determination showed that these plants had approximately twice as much Rubisco as the wild types, although they showed 70% lower rate of photosynthesis, which was likely an acclimation response to the reduction in Rubsico activase and/or the reduction in carbamylation.
