Taking the values of Su from laboratory tests as references, several existing Su-predicted methods based on CPTu are compared and evaluated. To verify the presented cone factor Nk, additional test sites are selected and examined. The results show that the values of cone factors such as Nkt, Nke, and Nau, depend on the shear test mode and disturbance. Generally, the values of Nke show more scattering than those of Nkt and N△u. For the stratified and layered sediments of the Yangtze River floodplain, it is recommended using the net cone resistance qT to estimate Su and the preliminary cone factor values Nkt are from 7 to 16, with an average of 11. It is also confirmed that the CPTu test, as a new technique in site characterization, can present reasonable parameters for bridge foundations.展开更多

It exhibited a relatively weak fluorescence in solution, while showed a steadily increased green fluor...In this contribution, we reported a very simple and small molecule material, 2,5-dimethoxyterephthalaldehyde(DMA). It exhibited a relatively weak fluorescence in solution, while showed a steadily increased green fluorescence with typical aggregation-induced enhanced emission(AIE) effect for forming a cubic-like microcrystal structure in THF-H2 O mixed solvent.The microcrystals presented significantly higher fluorescence than that of amorphous aggregates. The DMA microcrystals suspension showed a good response to 2,4,6-trinitrophenol(TNP) with a LOD of 1.2×10^(-7) M, which is the best result of TNP detection in aqueous solution. Quantum chemical calculation revealed that DMA is a donor(D)-receptor(A) type molecule with methoxy unit as donor and carbonyl moiety as receptor. Its emission arises from an intramolecular charge transfer(ICT) from methoxy units to carbonyl units. NMR indicated that there is a strong hydrogen bond interaction between DMA and TNP.Hydrogen bond interaction can effectively decrease the intermolecular distance of DMA and TNP, which will increase the efficiency of photoinduced electron transfer(PET) and fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET), and hence will be advantageous for its selectivity. Alternation in the biothiol levels is associated with various pathological processes, therefore non-invasive fluorescent probes with high specificity to biothiols are highly desirable research utilities. Meanwhile, fluorescent probes with aggregationinduced emission properties(AIEgens) possess unique photophysical properties that allow modulation of the sensing process through controlling the aggregation-disaggregation or the intramolecular rotational motions of the fluorophores. Herein we review the recent progress in the development of biothiol-specific AIEgens. In particular, the molecular design principles to target different types of biothiols and the corresponding sensing mechanisms are discussed, along with the potential of the future design and development of multi-functional bioprobes.展开更多
Resource-based cities are the most important players in responding to climate change and achieving low carbon development in China.An analysis of relevant data(such as the energy consumption)showed an inter-city diffe...Resource-based cities are the most important players in responding to climate change and achieving low carbon development in China.An analysis of relevant data(such as the energy consumption)showed an inter-city differentiation of CO2 emissions from energy consumption,and suggested an influence of the Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size(IEDS)in resource-based industrial cities at the prefecture level and above in different regions.Then by geographical detector technology,the sizes of each influencing mechanism on CO2 emissions from energy consumption of the IEDS were probed.This analysis showed that significant spatial differences exist for CO2 emissions from energy consumption and revealed several factors which influence the IEDS in resource-based cities.(1)In terms of unit employment,Eastern and Western resource-based cities are above the overall level of all resource-based cities;and only Coal resource-based cities far exceeded the overall level among all of the cities in the analysis.(2)In terms of unit gross industrial output value,the Eastern,Central and Western resources-based cities are all above the overall level for all the cities.Here also,only Coal resource-based cities far exceeded the overall level of all resources-based cities.Economic scale and energy structure are the main factors influencing CO2 emissions from energy consumption of the IEDS in resource-based cities.The factors influencing CO2 emissions in different regions and types of resource-based cities show significant spatial variations,and the degree of influence that any given factor exerts varies among different regions and types of resource-based cities.Therefore,individualized recommendations should be directed to different regions and types of resource-based cities,so that the strategies and measures of industrial low carbon and transformation should vary greatly according to the specific conditions that exist in each city.展开更多
