The induced polarization (IP) in rocks and minerals is of significance to the marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) field. We propose an adaptive finite-element algorithm for the 2.5D frequency-domain forward modeling of marine CSEM that considers the induced polarization. The geoelectrical model is discretized using an unstructured triangular elemental grid that accommodates the complex topography and geoelectrical structures. We use the Cole-Cole model to describe the IP and develop a complex resistivity forward modeling algorithm. We compare the simulation results with published 1D model results and subsequently calculate the electromagnetic field for variable azimuth sources, IP parameters, and topography. Finally, we analyze the IP effect on the marine CSEM field and show that IP of oil reservoirs and topography affects the marine CSEM electromagnetic field. 展开更多

In this paper, a novel split-winding doubly salient permanentmagnet (DSPM) motor is proposed and the theoretical and experimental studies on the magnetic field, static characteristics and control strategy of this motor are carried out. The steady-state and dynamic models are presented and the output power equation is derived. The feasibility of extending the operation range of the DSPM motor by using split-windings is proved. The finite element method is used to analyze the magnetic field, in which the leakage flux outside the stator circumference is taken into account. Based on the operation principle and the static characteristics of the motor, the control strategy and scheme are developed and implemented in a microcomputer-based controller. According to the features of the 4-phase 8/6-pole DSPM motor, a half-bridge power converter without neutral is adopted to reduce the number of power devices and to eliminate the problem of voltage unbalance in the split capacitors. The experimental results on the prototype machine not only verify the theoretical analysis, but also show that the proposed DSPM motor drive possesses good steady-state and dynamic performances, offering high efficiency over wide power range, and that the split-winding topology can effectively extend the operation range of the DSPM motor. 展开更多

Assembly variation analysis of parts that have flexible curved surfaces is much more difficult than that of solid bodies, because of structural deformations in the assembly process. Most of the current variation analysis methods either neglect the relationships among feature points on part surfaces or regard the distribution of all feature points as the same. In this study, the problem of flexible curved surface assembly is simplified to the matching of side lines. A methodology based on Bézier curves is proposed to represent the side lines of surfaces. It solves the variation analysis problem of flexible curved surface assembly when considering surface continuity through the relations between control points and data points. The deviations of feature points on side lines are obtained through control point distribution and are then regarded as inputs in commercial finite element analysis software to calculate the final product deformations. Finally, the proposed method is illustrated in two cases of antenna surface assembly. 展开更多
