The effects of coal fly ash size, sulfuric acid concentration, reaction time and reaction temperature on extraction efficiency of aluminum were investigated comprehensively. The phase and morphology of coal fly ash and solid residues after reaction were analyzed by XRD, SEM and IR. The optimal technological conditions for extracting aluminum from coal fly ash were eventually confirmed that coal fly ash with size of 74 μm and sulfuric acid with concentration of 50% are mixed in pressure reaction kettle to react for 4 h at 180 ℃. Under the optimal conditions, the extraction efficiency of aluminum can reach 82.4%.展开更多

In this study, a new rapid and batch-oriented crushing method for DNA extraction from maize leaves was developed. In addition, the practicability of the developed method in molecular marker-assisted breeding was verified using SSR molecular maker technology so as to provide a rapid, batch-oriented, low-cost and non-toxic leafcrushing method for a large number of molecular marker tests, improving test efficiency.展开更多

The dust had no significant effect on the two insects, none of them died even at 3 d after treatment. The methanol extracts, however, had rapid lethal effects on both C. maculatus and S. zeamais. The mortality of C. maculatus by the lowest concentration of methanol extracts ranged from 95%-100% whereas in S. zeamais, the mortality ranged from 87.5%-100% and 70%-100% in concentrations of 1 g extract+3 ml methanol and 1 g extract+5 ml methanol, respectively, from 24 to 48 h. The least concentration of 1 g extract+l 5 ml methanol had no significant lethal effect on Sitophilus zeamais.展开更多

The process started with followed by united-acid-leaching using sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. The effects of altering the hydrofluoric acid addition, hydrofluoric acid concentration, contact time, temperature and acid type were investigated. A minimum ash content of 0.35% was obtained when proper conditions were applied. The electrochemical performance of purified coke powder shows greatly improved electrochemical performance. The as-purified coke powder presented an initial reversible capacity of 257.4 mAh/g and a retention rate of 95% after 50 cycles. The proposed purification process paves a way to prepare a promising anode material with good performance with low cost of coke powder for Li-ion batteries.展开更多

This is the first time for the contribution of total phenolic (TP) and total carotenoid (TC) content to the modified oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORACFL) values in 29 monofloral samples. Hydrophilic ORACFL (H-ORACFL) values ranged between 7.13-10.12 μmol TE/g and 6.94-22.46 μmol TE/g, whereas lipophilic ORACFL (L-ORACFL)values were between 2.19-7.79 μmol TE/g and 1.65-9.96 μmol TE/g, in multifloral and monofloral samples, respectively. It has proved the complex involvement of botanical origins on the antioxidant features with a specific occurrence. Some monofloral samples presented particular high antioxidant potential, such as Salix sp., Taraxacum officinale, Matricaria chamomilla, Cichorium intybus and the poorly studied Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop. and Scilla bifolia L.. New variables, such as soil characteristics, climates together with botanical origins, were introduced in a multivariate analysis of antioxidant data matrix, given a possible important involvement of all of them in affecting, not only the phytochemical composition, but thereafter the antioxidant capacity. All these data could be crucial to a new way of gathering, by beekeepers, depending on the market demand and the purposes for the product that has a potential for further therapeutic bioactivities investigations, and added value in the enrichment of certain products.展开更多

Using reduction lixivium from high-acid reductive leaching of zinc oxide calcine as raw solution, copper and indium were firstly recovered by iron powder cementation and neutralization. The recovery ratios of Cu and In are 99% and 95%, respectively. Some harmful impurities that have negative influences on magnetic properties of soft magnetic ferrite material are deeply removed with sulfidization purification and neutral flocculation method. Under the optimum conditions, the content of impurities like Cu, Pb, As, Al in pure Zn-Fe sulfate solution are less than 0.004 g/L, but those of Cd, Si, Ca and Mg are relatively high. Finally, thermal precipitation of iron is carried out at 210 ℃ for 1.5 h. The precipitation ratio of Fe is 93.33%. Compared with the quality standard of ferric oxide for soft magnetic ferrite materials, the contents of Al and Mg in obtained ferric oxide powder meet the requirement of YHT1 level of ferric oxide, and those of Si, Ca meet the requirement of YHT3 level of ferric oxide. XRD and SEM characterizations confirm that the obtained sample is well-dispersed spindle spherule with regular a-Fe2O3 crystal structure. The length-to-diameter ratio ofa-Fe2O3 powder is (3-4):1 with an average particle size of 0.5 μm.展开更多

The results showed that the fly ash can be activated effectively and the leaching rate of alumina can be improved to more than 92% through this method. The best process parameters were the ratio of raw materials,i. e. the material weight ratio of fly ash, calcium carbonate and sodium carbonate was 1. 0∶1. 2∶0. 9. The activating temperature was 850℃-900℃,activating time was 3 h. This process has a potential application prospect and improves the value of comprehensive utilization of fly ash.展开更多

GQQ-10 obtained by UV-induced mutation was used for producing prodiginines (PGs). Single factor experiments and orthogonal array design (OAD) methods were employed for medium optimization. In the single factor method, the effects of soluble starch, glucose, soybean flour, yeast extract and sodium acetate on PGs production were investigated individually. In the subsequent OAD experiments, the concentrations of these 5 key nutritional components combined with salinity were further adjusted. The mutant strain GQQ-M6 gave a 2.2-fold higher PGs production than that of the parent strain; OAD experiments offered a PGs yield of 61mg L-1, which was 10 times higher than that of the initial GQQ-10 strain under the original cultivation mode.展开更多
